Admittedly, I have not finished this book yet but out of the first 15 or so selections maybe 3 are traditional ghost stories and not particularly good at that. At least 2 or 3 weren't ghost stories and didn't pretend to be and the rest hinted at ghosts but treated them as an afterthought or subplot. That said, the writing is generally good and the stories moderately interesting, they are just not ghost stories for the most part.
With one or two notable exception this contains a lot of third-rate stories that never made it into any other anthology, probably because they are not good enough.
