Growing up in North West England and in Germany, Anna wrote plays about talking animals, and stories about naughty children, and drew on every available surface. After school, she did an Art Foundation course, then a degree in German Literature & Philosophy at Oxford University. In 1998 she found her perfect job at Usborne in London, writing about everything from curious penguins to trips to the Moon. Usborne.com
Peek Inside the Zoo is a beautifully illustrated lift the flap book. Filled to the brim with lots of animals and information about all the special things they do. Having a little one whose just completely obsessed with all things animals. Makes you love this book all the more. This book is a perfect addition to your animal loving family shelf! :)
We love this series. Even though it is appropriate for toddlers, preschoolers and even kinder and first grade kiddos will enjoy these books. The pages are sturdy but without a board book feel. The illustrations are whimsical but I do wish they were actual photographs. Nonetheless, still an engaging books with surprises throughout. In this one you visit a zoo with the requisite animals.
A beautifully illustrated book with some simple facts about animals in the zoo.

He was immediately interested in this one and was smiling from the start. He did have a mid story vomit (he had too much to drink on New Year's Eve), but it didn't distract him from the book.
Heel tof flapjesboek. Dierentuinen blijven gewoon ook aanspreken, in eender welke vorm. Net zoals de andere boeken in deze serie bovendien ook doorkijkgaatjes om het nog extra spannend en inventief te maken.
For me it's solid 5 stars. Usborne never fails. Hope Max likes this book too, he already sleeps now. Will definitely read him in the morning, he will be super excited.
We loved it. I went looking for books with buttons but liked this one so much that I bought her it. It's got creative flaps and a nice level of information for little readers.
We bought this book from an Usbourne consultant. All Usbourne materials are just excellent. The book is interactive with "peak inside" flaps. Great children's book.
Loses a star for normalising zoos, but is a nice lift the flap book. Loses another star for making the animal enclosures so small though. The poor giraffes
