The Hidden Faces of India by Palani Mohan is a collection of nine stories that reflect the contradictions of Indian life. With vibrant colors, traces of sadness, a touch of philosophy, and an undercurrent of expectation, untold stories are captured through the eyes of people. A brief contextual note paired with powerful images often conveys more than a complete narrative could. From a storytelling perspective, this connected with me far more than long columns of words and did justice to the stories themselves.
