Straightforward and practical, this book does a great job of explaining the basics as well as offering first-person examples from other self-publishers.

McCann and Green offer a few practical writing exercises I'd never seen before, but most of the advice is similar to what's found elsewhere. However, it's written in an engaging way. And I appreciate how the authors are open about how the book is addressing all authors-to-be, whether they plan on writing and publishing as many books as they can or just putting together a single title.

Straightforward guide to self-publishing, nice to have all the information in one book. I know when I published my first book I found discerning through all the information available online very overwhelming. This book is quite generic and mirrors what you'll find online but if you are an anxious, new writer sometimes having a physical guide is really assuring and constructive.

The book is a little outdated but still has some good sound information and the way it was all presented was very engaging
