Gabrielle Craig Lord is an Australian writer who has been described as Australia's first lady of crime.
She survived being ‘razed’ by the nuns, acquired an education despite this, and after working in many different areas, sales, teaching, brick-cleaning, peach-picking and packing, and in the Public Service as an employment officer, started writing seriously aged 30.
Her first two manuscripts ended up composting the tomatoes at her market garden – another attempt to make a living – but the third one FORTRESS was picked up internationally and made into a feature film starring Rachel Ward. A later novel WHIPPING BOY was made into a telemovie starring Sigrid Thornton. The film rights money, coinciding with her daughter leaving school, allowed Gabrielle to resign and instead of getting up at 4.30am and writing for several hours before heading off for work, she could write full-time and lead a more ‘normal’ writer’s life – hanging around with scientists and detectives, badgering forensic anthropologists (she studied some Anatomy at Sydney university) and doing work experience with a busy private security business and of course, writing.
Research is everything, she says. ‘Out of my contacts with experts (who are always far too modest to describe themselves that way) I get not only the fine-tuning necessary for today’s savvy readers, but also wonderful incidents and images that enrich and enlarge my books.’
Gabrielle’s interests are very simple. ‘After a misspent youth, I don’t have many brain cells left so I enjoy walking, meditation, singing, gardening, chatting with close friends, being with my family and grandkids, feeding my goldfish and keeping up to date with bodywork and enlightened psychotherapy.’
Gabrielle has now written fourteen adult novels and a novel for young adults. Once the 12 books of Conspiracy 365 are completed, this tally will be a tad bigger! Following this mammoth endeavour she already has plans for another three adult novels and two more YAs. 2013
While I feel the idea of a spec ops agency asking a kid for help is fanciful, the action on the island was good. I was glad that Cal found Ryan, but have a hard time believing that they could manage the twin swap with no issues. I did like how the brothers worked with new allies to start to figure out what was going on at the island. I do wish that we would have gotten resolution instead of a cliff hanger.
I read the book Missing Black Ops Conspiracy 365 by Gabrielle Lord. I chose this book because I read the rest of the series and the last book and it left on a cliff hanger so I had to figure out what happened and I looked at the cover and it looked really good. Cal agrees to work as a undercover agent for SI-6 to find out where his twin is at. Cal finds out mysterious things about this island with secret hideouts, underground training camps, dangerous clues and things on the land. Will Cal find Ryan or will his mission be deadly? Other books by the author are Conspiracy 365 January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December, Revenge, Malice, and Missing Black Ops. If u like mysteries you should read this series.
NOW Ryan goes missing. Definitely better than "Malice". Winter's story was good, but overall "eh". She's not my favorite character anyway.
HERE'S more of the classic mysterious nail-biting adventure I love. I think Ryan went to the island to get away from Cal and all the drama from the previous series. As much as I love Cal, I WOULD actually like to see things from RYAN'S perspective. I do like getting to see Cal and Ryan interact with each other, even though Cal is still the protagonist.
Wasn't expecting the military spin, but so far so good. More typical of a youth action movie, but still enjoyable. No one has said how old they all are, but they're still listed as teenagers, so I'm assuming 17 or 18, which is JUST old enough to go places by yourself, unless the laws are different in Australia.
IRUKANDJI JELLYFISH - forgot Australia is the land of extremes.
So far not as intense as the original series, but still a good, quick read.
THEY CALLED JELLYFISH "JELLIES"!!!

Ryan is gone and thats not good because he was one of my favourite characters. Cal has been recruited by I cant remember the name of the agency but it is to find out about the owners daughter and Ryan. I hope they find him and very excited for the next book.

This book had some good action. The characters continue to grow. Boges and Winter are amazing friends. Cal does a great job picking good friends. Ryan is one good brother.
Conspiracy 365: Black Ops: Missing is the first of three book in the new Black Ops trilogy. This time, Cal has been hired by a government organization to infiltrate a young adult resort and report on everything that he find that may be hinky. What he ends up discovering is much worse than he could have ever imagined. People are being held prisoner and the leader of the island seems to be building an elite fighting force. Why? He doesn't know. But he is determined to put a stop to it.
Gabrielle Lord returns to the world of Conspiracy 365 in a three-part Black Ops series. Once again, Cal is thrust into danger as he only has 90 days to figure out what is going on. This time, most of the story takes place on an island and the people there think that he is his twin brother, Ryan. Like all books in this series, the page numbers count down until they reach page 1. I really enjoy this little feature. It is kinda cool.
This book is kind of a builder. What I mean is that although there isn't a ton of action in this story, the tension begins building for the entire series with this book. Things are being set up that will climax later in the series and I bet that action will be pouring off of the pages by the time you reach the conclusion of the series.
I really like this beginning book in the new Black Ops series. I am always happy to read anything about Cal Ormond and I find Gabrielle Lord to be quite the entertaining author. I know exactly what to expect from her with one of the Conspiracy 365 books, and I am happy to report that this one ranks right up there with all the rest. It is entertainment at full throttle!
Overall, Conspiracy 365: Black Ops: Missing is a great story that kept me flipping pages until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, although I wanted to. I needed to read more and find out what was going to happen next! The good news is that this isn't a stand-alone book like the last one was and there are two more books in this series, Plus, there are thirteen previous books before this one, although you don't necessarily need to have read any of them to pick up this one. Of course, having read all the other books only helps to enhance this one. I am so looking forward to starting the next book in this series: Conspiracy 365: Black Ops: Hunted. I'm sure it will be a doozy.
Missing Conspiracy 365 Black Ops is the fifteenth book in the Conspiracy 365 series by Australian author Gabrielle Lord, and the first in the Black Ops trilogy. A text to Cal Ormond with a cryptic skull & crossbones and 90 days warning starts off this trilogy. Cal’s twin brother Ryan is missing and Cal himself is kidnapped and faces several challenges before discovering he is being tested by an Intelligence Organisation, SI6, who recruit him for a special mission. Cal is inserted covertly onto Shadow Island, the location of a free youth refuge run by the Paradise People Resort to check on the status of Ryan and a certain Sophie Bellamy, and to check that the manager of the resort is acting properly. Of course, nothing is quite as wholesome as it first appears, and Cal is soon in the thick of it. Cal faces a stun-gun, possible drowning, stinging trees and clinging vines, dangerous seas, Irukanje jellyfish and rugged rocks. Robotic animals, paragliding, passwords, computer hacking, a mountain bunker, tattoos and arm wounds, roll calls, runaways, underground caverns and an amnesic prisoner in a concrete bunker all feature. Some editions feature a lenticular panel giving the cover a 3D look. In keeping with the countdown theme, the pages run in reverse order and the chapter headings count down the days remaining. Both Cal and Ryan feature in this book, including some cute twins-swapping-places parts, while Boges and Winter give support off-island. The action is non-stop and it is easy to see how these books appeal to youth readers. Be prepared for a cliff-hanger ending. Reading of Black-Ops #2, Hunted, will be a must read.
I am sorry but can Cal really get any more stupid? This book literally made me cringe from the moment I started it. This series has gotten beyond ridiculous. How much longer can they string this along? Now there is mysterious islands and secret government agencies trying to recruit Cal for his sheer dumb luck amazing survival and investigative skills *cough splutter*...
For a "secret department" in the government they really don't seem to know a lot about secret-keeping or anything. They let Cal talk to Winter, Ryan, Boges and practically anyone he passed on the street that looked in his direction about his "secret" mission. And they claim to have put him through "tests" to see if he was "proper spy material" but the tests were so obvious I doubt uneducated toddler would be able to fail them. They literally locked him up, but gave him the key to get himself out, left a message with the name of a town and an hour's deadline to get there and was impressed he made it that far... Seriously?
It was absolutely ridiculous. There were no redeeming points for this book whatsoever. Plus Winter - the only likeable character - was only in this one for two seconds and she's my favourite. Pouts. I'm not impressed.
Conspiracy 365:Black Ops by Gabrielle Lorde is a great book. I loved how it came off of the first series and really put everything in perspective. I really liked the first series and I can't wait for the rest of the books in the series.
I this book Callum Ormand is freshly of the manhunt and Is living a life of fame. He is very famous and everyone likes him. He keeps getting random text messages and he doesn't know who it is from. He then finds his twin is missing and goes on a covert mission to find him. Then everything changes.
I would recommend this book to anyone that has read the first series. Anyone in any age can read this and should read this if they meet the first criteria. All in all I loved this book and it was one of my favorites.
The book Conspiracy 365 Black Ops Missing by Gabrielle Lord. is a very good because it goes straight into the action. It is very fast paced and it really makes you want to know how it ends. It is really cool to see the duo of the brothers to get to the bottom of the mystery.
Cal is in a government agency called SI-6 to help the find out what is going on the island. He discovers that things may not be the same as they appear. He finds what is happening and who is doing it.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery and lots of action. This book has lots of suspense that we keep you in the edge of your seat.
The book I read was Missing by Gabrielle Lord. I liked this book because it was adventurous and exciting and kept you on edge the whole book. The setting in this book takes place on an island were there is a resort but people know that there is something up with this resort. The main characters are Cal, Ryan, and Sophie. The conflict they face is that the person who runs the camp who's name is Damien is keeping kids locked up in cells in a mountain. I would recommend this book to anyone that can read fluently and likes mystery and action.
The book missing conspiracy 365 is mainly about a teenager who is searching for his twin brother on a lost island. They are twins so they he finds were Ryan his brother is and they swap places because Cal the teenager thinks something is wrong with the island.
I liked the book because it never stopped with the action.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes action and determination.

This book is an amazing adventure book and for the kids who like the conspiracy 365 or the Phoenix Files then I would recommend it. It features Callum Ormond and his case to find his twin brother. He becomes a spy in this book and I would rate this four stars because it was really exciting.
Conspiracy 365 Black Ops Missing by Gabrielle Lord takes place on a fictional island called shadow island. The protagonist is teenager Callum Ormond. Callum is recruited by an agency known as the SI-6 to go and gather information on what's going on at a resort on Shadow Island. The islands guest have been returning home acting strange. It even gets worse when two of the people on Shadow Island is Callums brother and the SI-6 captains daughter. The books plot was decent overall. However, the book wasn't to difficult to lose interest in. People who enjoy books mystery and action themed should get this book because those are the main themes in the book.
