I have only recently come across this superb book, which was first published in 1989. Superbly researched, engagingly written and well illustrated it is a 'must' for those interested in the Blitz on the United Kingdom's cities during the Second World War. It is worth reading just for the 'scene-setter' at the beginning that lays out the political, social and economic strife in Belfast in the 1930s.
Very well researched and a fascinating read. Great insight into the lives of the people during the War and of course the history. Having family history with people that lived through this time and hearing their stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
