1853 New Orleans ~ "Flying toward the Crescent City at that moment was the kind of storm that causes shutters to clatter, and the shadows of gnarled oaks to bob and weave across expansive lawns. ~ ~ ~ Me:
A 25-year career in news media relations preceded my achievements as an author; which was highlighted by an Amazon 2011-12 (10-month) best seller for "The Ghost Chaser's Daughter".
I'm a fiction writer drawn to the dark side of life, whether it be skitterings behind the veil, or the stir of smoldering passions gone awry.
My literary influences include Gillian Flynn, Patricia Highsmith, and Margaret Atwood.
I know this author personally, and also traveled with her for my first trip to New Orleans, where she was raised. The book is well written and so much more meaningful now that I know where the estate would have been located, as well as the street names, the Garden District, and more. There's nothing like being familiar with the settings and locales of a good story!
