Surrender to Forever

Rate this book
I'd been beaten, broken, and forced into an upcoming marriage to a beast of a man. With a childish wish to be taken away from this world, I unknowingly drew the attention of a being from another world. Adriel, the handsome Goblin King with violet eyes and tattoos covering his scars, appeared, and told me just to ask and he'd make all of my problems go away. Begging him to return things to how they were, he refused, and offered instead for me to come with him and fix it myself. No sooner did I get there, I discovered that this wasn't Neverland. This wasn't Wonderland. This was Gobland, and Adriel's deadly creations weren't going to let me just walk through the Asylum and retrieve what he took. No, the alluringly dangerous man with magic beyond my wildest, darkest dreams wants me to play his game. Thirteen days, or I'm his forever. I'm not the first Rose to be taken, but I'm the first who's wanted to stay. Surrender to Forever is a dark fantasy romance. The heroine has multiple partners, but has a HEA with just one person.

Tylor Paige

Growing up with a teenage mom who insisted she be raised knowing all about 80’s and 90’s pop culture, Chicana author, Tylor Paige, should have known she’d inevitably write books inspired by that. The fun (rockstars), the hot (Goblin Kings), and the scary (Slashers).

When she’s not writing about girls railing the villains, she enjoys watching horror films, sewing, comic books, and spending time with her writer tribe, Michigan Romance Writers.
At the time of this update Tylor has now written and published Ten full length novels, and is currently pursuing a career in horror romance, where, honestly, she should have been in the first place.

“My entire free day will be me stuck here!” she exclaimed. “That doesn’t seem fair.”
“You say that word a lot,”

Okay, wow.
I devoured this. It was an accidental find. I finished Like Father Like Slaughter and on the last page I saw this book there as a Goblin King retelling, you best believe I scooped it up asap.
It has genuinely become a favorite book now.

I've said it once, I'll say it again.
Anything written about Labyrinth/The Goblin King I will eat it up if it's good.
This was incredible.

We follow Rosalina into a foreign world, where she meets goblins/gremlins and creatures called Magician's as well as Demons. They all embark on this quest with Rosalina to help her save her betrothed from the Goblin King. There's twists, turns, and so much more.

My Fave Tropes in This Book:
- Enemies to Lovers
- One Bed
- Touch her and D!e

I loved all the little nods to the original story and how we can see into Adriel's world as well.
I would most definitely read your trigger warnings before diving into this book.
It's is very heavy and your mental health matters.
'Like a jewelry box, two figures raised out of the glass screen and began to move. It was a couple in a tender embrace. The woman was dressed in a beautiful gown and the man wore a suit. They held on to each other while they danced in circles. And then, a slow melody, a tinkling almost, began to seep from the watch.'

Tylor Paige has quickly become an autobuy author for me.
This is available on KU, and is so underrated.
More people need to know this book exists, I will do what I can to make sure that happens.

This is a dark fantasy spicy romance retelling of the movie Labyrinth and it’s amazing! Our FMC Rosalina is a beautiful voluptuous Chicano with a traumatic past. Our MC Adriel is a morally grey magician with his own tortured past.

When Rosalina calls, Adriel replies and into the Asylum she goes!! Rosalina has 13 days to rescue Curtis (her fiancé, not by choice) and to earn her freedom to go home.

Tylor creates a world full of fantastical characters with twists and turns all over the place and all the magic you’d expect and want from a Labyrinth retelling.

I was completely immersed in the Asylum and Rosalina and Adriel’s story. Rosalina’s strength and courage throughout was astounding.

Now if you’re like me and you love all the spice with your romance then you’re in the right place, we have a demon with a giant blue appendage and much more.

I can honestly say I haven’t read a fantasy book that I enjoyed more. I highly recommend taking a trip to the Asylum

If you would like a very prolonged romance with tonnes of heated scenes and anger fueled encounters, whilst alot of action is happening in the background, this is for you.

This book follows Rosalina, a girl who wishes for a goblin to take her and well it happens. She's forced to go through an asylum and meet multiple monsters, who she did certain activities with.

All together, alot was happening and yet it felt like nothing was happening at the same time. I was getting a bit confused with everything and I started realising what was happening later on. It was a very unique concept and the book was well written to an extent. At some points I did get bored, but I really liked the twist at the end although you could start piecing puzzles earlier on.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It was my first read from this author... I'm not quite sure where I fall at with this story. Mostly good if a bit all over the place for me. It did capture me in spots. Our girl was wishing hard... and what's the old saying? be careful what you wish for...

The Gobbie King *smiles* he doesn't mind answering the call and finds himself going against some of the rules he put in place. His court knows it too.

Our little miss in on the run and the clock is ticking, her task is to find her unwanted fiance. (which is a jerk) hence the unwanted. Oh and the "people" she meets on her little excursion. Whew.

A lot of smexy going on. The story makes sense mostly. Think maze, think fantasy. *winks* it will be up on my reread list.

I wanted to like this so bad because the premise was promising and I love Labyrinth, but it's giving tortured high schooler writes a Labyrinth fanfic in which SAs are the leading plot points. I feel like the author was trying to write a survivor, reclaim their body, and identity story, but this isn't hitting the way they think it is. This story would benefit from a round of edits so it wasn't so repetitive and the ending wasn't so flip-floppy with Rosealina.
Now, if you're here for spice, hard rape trauma, and Labyrinth fanfiction then you came to the right book. However, this was just not for me.

This is so good! I’ve never read a book that was so similar to Labyrinth; and I am in love! As someone who has wished that Sarah and Jareth ended up together since I was a kid. Now I know she was way too young for him lol but this book ages the girl up and is perfect. I can only picture Adriel as David Bowie as Jareth from the movie though (not that I mind 🥵🪭). It’s super $mutty so make sure you’re ready for all of that. This was literal perfection. I loved everything about it.

I was excited for the premise but the execution fell very flat for me. The FMC wanders around the Labyrinth and gets dirty with most of the beings she meets. It got pretty repetitive and I found myself rolling my eyes. I usually fly through books quickly but found myself not wanting to pick this up and read other books instead. The writing was okay, minor problems but there was one continuity error I found that kind of annoyed me. Check TWs, the rape scenes are on page and extremely graphic.

**Please note, I got a free copy of the book, and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest and fair review.**

I did like to read the story of Rosalina and Adriel. It's a dark romance story with some paranormal factors and a lot of action. And it has a huge amount of smut.

It was an interesting story, and it did make sense in the end. Mostly. But I can recommend it.
