This problem-solving reference answers questions such as, "Why do interior lights dim or burn out rapidly" and "Why won't the batteries recharge after a night without electricity?"
This book was extremely technical, which made it kind of slow-going. If I hadn't already read several other electricity 101 books, I think I would have been lost. On the other hand, it was nice to have specific RV and travel trailer related electrical information. The description of the converter/charger and the extensive discussion of shore power and the battery system was great. It had a lot of information about the RV engine that I didn't need, but I just skipped those parts. Some of the info was outdated (appliances have changed since the 1990's) but most of it was still very relevant and helpful, especially since my trailer is a 1997! It's going to be very helpful when I update the wiring and receptacles in my trailer.
I was a complete novice with electricity. This book has helped me to get connected off grid and I am now building my own smart RV system. It's easy to read and easy to get fast into practice with a good understanding of the equipment, the connection and the versatility of an electrical system. I am glad I bought this book, and I still read it.
