The lessons within these pages will assist you in living a more passionate, purposeful existence. Brenden aims to help you stop inviting toxic people into your life, stop sabotaging yourself, stop settling, stop wasting your time... and start taking back your power and creating the life you envision for yourself. You will find yourself referring back to this book throughout your life as you evolve, change and grow. Still Breathin' couples the rollercoaster of Brenden Dilley's life experiences with insightful advice and wisdom, broaching a wide range of dating , relationships , love , sex , parenting , business , passion , faith , health , and fitness . Still Breathin' details Brenden's navigation through the horrific decisions he made in his twenties that led him to--poverty, near homelessness, break-ups, divorce, custody battles, the disappearance of a child--and his unwavering belief in himself and faith in the process of life. Still Breathin' is a thought-provoking book that not only will entertain, offend and inspire, but promises to make even the most open minded reader blush while exploring the depths of human behavior and sexuality.

My father always emphasized that every “book” has inherent value...well he died before this one was printed. And I put book in quotation marks because the use of unnecessary quotation marks is just one of the more baffling aspects of this author’s overall ineptitude in this awful “book” (ex: “However, I promised myself long ago that I wouldn’t be someone who finds himself in his final moments “wishing” he had done more...”)

Born to a mother, who was fairly successful in the cash cow field of shameless self help books, Dilley considered it his destiny to contribute with his own brand of literary snake oil.

Just a few excerpts from this train wreck:

“Life is short. Let me repeat that. Life is short.”

“I can’t pretend I’m not the spiritual, love-giving individual that I am. I also can’t pretend that some people don’t suck at business and are going to get steamrolled.”

“Falling in love with life and my legacy has allowed me to act with a sense of purpose and passion every single day.”

“Women are notorious for starting relationships with men simply because they don’t have any other hobbies. They make a man their hobby. I have a feeling that this is why many women are dating abusive, disloyal pricks. It gives them a challenge and something to “do” with their otherwise pointless existence.”

I first found B Dilley on Twitter, with his excerpts of his book flooding his timeline he had me hooked. Now, it took me awhile to read this book, I got it when I was going through a divorce I wasn't expecting and I could only go as far as I was ready to. I didn't want to read anymore than I could absorb or was mentally able to accept. Brenden doesn't pull any punches, will curse at you to get his point across and isn't your normal "warm and fuzzy" self-help type of book. I greatly appreciated the chapter on letting go, writing letters and burning them. DO IT, you will be glad you did. Fellas if you aren't good in bed, there's a chapter on that too. You're welcome.

Although I am an avid reader, I've never had much interest in the "Self Help" Genre and I never write book reviews. THIS BOOK however is something completely different and unexpected. I devoured it. I read the whole thing in one night, went back and re-read it again twice.

It is written in a straightforward, earnest and very personal way--this, with the author's razor-sharp wit, edgy approach, and devastating sense of humor make it a must-have.

It is raw, honest, unapologetic, sincere, funny, and thought-provoking. It will draw you in and engage your mind and emotions. It spans a multitude of topics and tones, originating from the author's life experiences. Trust me there is something in here you will enjoy and take away no matter who you are. It is just filled with powerful words and messages--delivered in a truly unique way--that are so applicable you can't help but take them with you through your day.

Whether looking for answers and self-improvement, or just seeking a thoroughly enjoyable and beneficial read, I would be surprised if you didn't come away feeling renewed and empowered in some way. I have been recommending it to friends and family members, who are also loving it. Truly a must-read for many.

Brenden Dilley has experienced all of the ups and downs throughout his life. He wants to let you know that whatever crap you are going through, he's already been through it or strategies on how to get past that crap. Although he can be pretty explicit, he's not afraid to share his thoughts and I was intrigued throughout the entire book. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling in there life and just see his story so you'll get a different perspective.

So far so good. Very engaging. Typically by now I'd be peaking forward to see when the next chapter will end but not here! I want the chapters to last. Real and relate-able! Doesn't read like a self help book more like a motivational speaker on paper.

This book is VERY raw. Too many uses of the "F" word (he defends it by saying he's trying to appeal to a certain audience - but where is self control??) Also there's an entire chapter that I had to skip because it was WAY TOO GRAPHIC. That said, there's some great things to be said about vulnerability, transparency, forgiveness, and being REAL.

Made me cry in one chapter

One of his chapters was deep enough that it actually made me cry, the one on self-forgiveness. The rest of the book was more light-hearted. There’s wisdom in it.

Dilley the man, the myth, the legend.

Enjoyed the book. Not what I thought I was getting when I bought it, but I’m glad I read it. The part about writing the letters really helped me. Get that stuff out there, look at it, take it in...then burn it.

Good read

I really enjoyed reading this book. It put many things in perspective and he also put things that I have felt into words. I shared many of his thoughts with friends and i will continue to follow his work. Great read for anyone seeking guidance

The author is a Trump-worshipping MAGA grifter who has sought to profit from the Trump/MAGA media and content frenzy, blindly following and supporting everything his orange idol says and does like the nit-wit lemming he is.

I really enjoyed this book, and see myself reading it again and again. This book is blunt, honest, and real.

Not for the faint of heart. Get ready for a man's raw account on how tough relationships can be, and with some guidance it is still worth it.
