A quick cute read. The illustrations were very cute as well, and I liked the underlying themes of friendship and cooperation. Large print and short chapters with simple words make this a good series for elementary and middle school readers, or a good choice to read together for beginning readers.

i read this when i was like 6 and i was so proud of myself when i stayed up till like 3 am reading it 😂 it was out of order though of course, but it was my first chapter book and i continued the series up until like book 9. at that point i stopped but i just found that i threw away the other books i think- no clue why but this low key depressing. anyways imma see if i can find any of my other ones and if not i’m probably gonna splurge on new copies because, childhood!!!

update: EUREKA! i found another one of the books! i did throw the other ones away though which sucks

This is a cute, clean story. It is an easy read for those starting out with chapter books. It is a fun story that flows throughout. There is good characterization and good morals to the story about working together and not cheating. Stay true to what you believe in.

I thought these were a stupid series when I was young, but the only thing I enjoyed was the description and detail of the "fairy cakes" the characters made- so delectable! I really want to make them.

119 pages. Another great adventure awaits Mia as she attempts to bake something delicious for the neighborhood block party that is giving proceeds to a family who recently suffered a house fire. She decides to enlist the help of Dulcie after her mushroom house gets demolished by a falling fish, accidentally released by a hawk. Girls will enjoy all the fun in the kitchen and Neverland in this installment. Highly recommended for Grades 3-5.

Mia signs up for the bake sale for the Davis family and Tina and Tara are doing it too. Mia needs Dulcie to help her. Dulcie is a baking talant fairy. They go to the market then make the cakes. Dulcie needs to go back to pixie hollow.Mia is in a rush and she needs to make frosting for the cakes and Dulcie went back to pixie hollow!

I'm not sure how long this story will stick with me. Mia being pushed into doing a bake off by Kate and then Dulcie's weird blaming herself for the fish. Mia's story had some upside in that she still gave it her all, but god it was so exhausting just to get Dulcie to hang out with the girls.

Tinkerbell's appearance was worthwhile for once; even if only to tell Dulcie she was dumb and to go away.

I enjoy reading these with my 5 year old. I appreciated the aspect of friendship and learning how to work with what you have and accept your abilities that was brought forth in this book. I also appreciate that none of the adventures feel the same.

Still reading this series with my daughter at bedtimes and we just finished book #7. This one finds Mia needing to learn to bake and the girls will get into adventure before it is all over. Fun book and Fiona is looking forward to the next!

5 📚 Physical Book

My daughter really liked this book. She loves baking and trying new foods so this was a fun book for her. She had me use several accents to read out loud, making it that much more memorable. Looking forward to the final book in the series.

This is a sweet series, especially good for very advanced young readers. The writing is great and features a varied vocabulary, but the content is light and appropriate for little ones.

Mia, Kate, Lainey and Gabby can access Never Land, to visit their fairy friends in Pixie Hollow whenever they want, by walking through Gabby’s closet. Mia, in this seventh installment of The Never Girls series, needs the assistance of Dulcie the baking fairy to create a baked good for the summer block party. Dulcie is feeling guilty about some troubles in Pixie Hollow and is more than happy to help her friends. Fairy enthusiasts will enjoy this book of friendship and teamwork. Illustrations do not contribute much to the story. Images often appear on the page after the corresponding text. An interesting combination of story lines which rotate between the human and fairy lands as well as the chapters.

This was a cute entry into the Never Girl Series. It had a little bit of the Cupcake Diaries feel to it. This time the girls are making cupcakes for a bake sale. The fairies get into the act to help out. There is craziness that ensues, but of course it works out in the end.

It was cute but Mia uses the oven without permission and supervision and her parents don't seem to care. This is a dangerous thing to do when you're an elementary school student so I'm only giving this book one star since kids tend to want to do the things the characters do in the books they read.
