Wizdom didn't know dragons really existed. He's never ridden a white woolly mammoth or flown on a griffin. He's never known a real king or a princess or been friends with a goblin. Wizdom's never seen elves that glow blue all the time. All he's ever known are his adoptive mother and his aunt Kayden. One day he finds himself in a secret world, face to face with dragons and fire monsters. He meets an interesting girl, Pandora, who he learns is no ordinary girl, just as he is no ordinary boy. Wizdom soon finds himself on a magical journey full of secrets, sorcery, danger and evil. He fights many fierce battles and faces certain death as his quest leads him on an adventure like never before as he discovers his true identity...or does he?

First, i wanna say a great thanks to the author who sent to me this book and ps. i love that cover!
Wizdom and Pandora was a great and new adventure. Wizdom is only a eleven years boy who lives with his imagination, dreaming about dragons, adventures, princess and swords.. But one day he discovers that there is another world where everything exist. In fact, he is the Great Ohtar, the Great Warrior.
But he discovers that Lord Bergo has stole the Blood Jewel, that protects the Land of Maldor. So he decides to take a journey with some warriors to take the Jewel. I loved this book. Seriously, it was amazing. I love all the characters, especially the Brothers Strauss. They are hilarious! It's adorable when Merle and Rupert discuss and Kenton has his face like: -.-" Okay, they are just adorable.
I really liked Wizdom as the main character. He is strong, he really wants to learn magic and he is a lot determined. I liked Pandora and of course i liked Puck. He is so adorable and powerful! The beginning was a little slow for me, and i was so confused, but since Wizdom discovers the parallel world, the magic world, it begins to be really interesting. I felt during the reading that there is a lot of similarities with Harry Potter, but it doesn't matter. I liked a lot the story of the Blood Jewel, that it's so important for Maldor. I liked the magical creatures like the Horthiens, the Dragons,Nargar the fire monster and the Trolls.
I think that Lord Bergo's castle was really creepy!
''......They found themselves in a spacious room with a large throne made of human skeletons and skulls on a platform near the far wall.''
Disgusting.. The Spiders were creepy too. Uhh, i hate them!
SPOILER: There is a part when Merle fights with the Spider-ant and at the end he fakes that he dies. I ALMOST DIED. hahaha. END
So, i really liked this book BUT there is only one thing i didn't like. I think that the action scenes were really fast and for me it would be okay if the author would wrote fifty pages more... I have only one question. The end was :''WTF??'', so.. Is There another book? Is this a series or duology 'cause i didn't understand it.
If there is another book I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT. I WANT IT. NOW.
Taken on a supremely magical adventure of breathtaking memorability and extraordinary wonders
M Woodard's debut fantasy novel "Wizdom and Pandora: The quest for the blood jewel" transported me into a richly evocative, imaginative world of sheer scope. Encapsulating all the elements of fantasy fiction including a concoction of creatures, flamboyant characters and remarkable settings this is an assured literary work of substance. Fire-breathing Dragons. Wise Wizards, magic and mythological references all intermingle within a far-reaching, atmospheric backdrop of eye-opening imaginative wonder as to leave you aghast!
Indie novels are not usually at the top of my list for noteworthy, accomplished works of fiction (as you often find something lacking in the detail/ storyline or editing), and so I was quite taken aback by how well written this book was. Intentionally targeted towards the younger reader/ middle-grade, the simplistic writing style and easy-to-digest narrative I feel wouldn't appeal to Adult fantasy readers...or myself in regards to this (hence my lower than 5* rating). Despite being a classic children's fantasy story, I was seemingly surprised by how in-depth the storyline was and how packed full of detail, background history and depth.
Taken on a spellbinding, magical journey and epic quest full of danger, secrets, sorcery and evil I was thrust into a thrilling read that I'll never forget! Wizdom and Pandora are fantastic main protagonists who have found a place in my heart, and I am so pleased to have won a signed copy of this brilliant book
I received an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
I was quite excited to start this book because the description made it it seem like it was going to be similar to Harry Potter. It took my a while to get into the story and I didn't enjoy it that much at first so it took me quite a while to finish. The story starts off quite fast paced, as we're thrown straight into a whole new world and given very little time to adjust to the change. I thought it was quite unbelievable and felt that the language was a bit too basic for my taste. However, After about a third of the way through I found myself quite surprised and was thoroughly hooked into the story. I did however enjoy the adventure, and if I was younger, I would find this book to be the most entertaining thing in the world.
Some of the character's bugged me a bit at times. I wanted a bit more depth and knowledge of some of the character's and felt like that background was missing to the story. I did, however, really enjoy Pandora's character.
Overall it was quite an entertaining read and recommend it to anyone who likes to read something fun and adventurous on a lazy day.
I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This was a quick and easy read for me, not only because it was a middle grade novel, but because it was a great story to get lost in. My only concern was that it is very similar to Harry Potter, except these kids go on an epic journey. Also I found a few parts to be a bit jumpy, but otherwise it made for an interesting read. I did like all of the characters, and there were a lot of them. Sometimes I did forget who was who. But I am excited to watch Wizdom and Pandora grow up. I'm also excited to see what other adventures they will go on. This was a great middle grade fantasy. The world that KM Woodard created is very detailed and easy to navigate. I would recommend this to readers who enjoy the Harry Potter series.
I won this book in a giveaway and it was a very good book. I plan to start to read a chapter a night soon to my daughter who is into dragons, princess, and magic. I love this book and it earned a place on my bookcase.
