Holy crap

Holy crap, talk about great writing, characters you love and this is one of the best series I've read. Omg Jet why Jet??? He was my favorite. I always say with movies and books if it can evoke deep emotions and keep you engrossed within the story it's good. This series does that and more. I'm looking forward to reading werewolf academy. I highly recommend this series.

Silver Moon is the final book in the Silver series, and let me tell you, this book has ripped my heart out, thrown it on the floor, stamped all over it, picked it back up again, only to do it all again, before finally leaving me needing a new series!!!

Things come to a head for Jaze and his Pack, and he has to make decisions no young adult should have to. I really won't say too much, as I don't want to give out any spoilers. All I will say is be careful! Your heart will be racing, your mouth dry, as you try to figure out just how he gets out of certain situations. And also, for the last quarter of the book (at least), I was sobbing as I read. Not just crying, oh no. We're talking great big f'ugly crying!!!

There's so much I want to say, but I can't without giving away spoilers! I want to talk about certain characters, and what they went through, and how it made me feel. I want to talk about that spectacular ending that just about killed me. I want to talk about the aftermath which made me cry again. But I can't.

What I will say is this series is simply outstanding. I have loved all of the books in this series for one reason or another. They all fit together perfectly. The writing is unsurpassed. The pacing is smooth. The characters are all lifelike and behave just as you think they should before they turn around and surprise the living daylights out of you.

This book killed me. I love and hate it, so it will be kept and re-read, again and again. So sad to see this series end but it does lead me nicely onto the next series, which now I just HAVE to read.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

By far the best book out of the whole series! But so worth it in the end, and so much heartbreak too! This book I thought would be a HEA for all the characters from the previous books, but sadly not all of them made it to the end of this book! Very rarely do you read a series and the author be brave enough to kill off 3 of her main characters, along with many more secondary characters who held vital points in the whole series! I've got so many emotions they came from this story! It follows Jaze's journey into the future and he suffers so much lose. Each death he felt and it weighed on him heavily! Even though there was progress with everyone's stories and unfortunately some came a stop far to soon, I was happy with how things ended! The ones that were left moved forward and started working towards a better future for all! Overall this series had its ups and downs for me, some of the books I liked more than others. But in the end I seen why they each had a book of their own, it was so you would get to know each character and in the end you felt their pain and loss and ultimately their love for one another! I do recommend you read the whole series its worth it in the end! I'm actually wanting to read the next series to see how Alex and Cassie are doing but also to glimpse of the other characters and how they're doing as well!

If you have followed the Silver Series from the beginning, as I have, Silver Moon is going to rip out your heart and stomp all over it. Even if you haven't read the other books, this one is sure to punch you in the gut, but you really need to have read the entire series to get the full impact. It's been a long time since a book took me on such an emotional rollercoaster ride and even longer since one had me breaking down into actual tears.

The emotional undercurrent which runs through this series is one any writer should strive to weave into their books. This is storytelling at it's best. I cared about these characters. I cheered their victories and mourned their defeats. Many terrible things happen in these books, but through it all the message of love and loyalty shines through the darkness. That's part of why this book had such a huge impact on me, because the characters were so committed to each other and bound together in so many ways.

This not the greatest book ever written, but I think every writer strives to bring out some kind emotion in the reader and in this Ms. Alsop excels. I've not read the work of many others who could equal her mastery of what lies in the depths of the human heart.

Silver Moon by Cheree Alsop is book 7 in the Silver series, and it’s conclusion. In this book, we return to Jaze’s point of view as he deals with the big reveal of werewolves to the human world. This book is probably the most emotional and heart wrenching of all the novels so far, and really tests the bonds of friendship formed between Jaze, Jet, Kaynan, Vance, Dray, Brock, and Mouse, as well as the others.

Jaze has to make some of the hardest choices of his young life, and there are no good options. I have to admit, I did cry at several points in this book. After six other books getting to know Jaze, Jet, and the rest, I felt like a part of their werewolf rescue organization. And in this book, all that is put through the wringer. Author Cheree Alsop does a fantastic job with the mental torment Jaze is going through.

I don’t want to give away too much of the plot, because Silver Moon is worth reading. Twice. But I do want to make you intrigued, so I’ll tell you this is the big werewolf reveal. Jaze has more family waiting in the wings. There is death. There is also a shiny ring. All of that combined make this the best book in the series, in my opinion, and a must read.

Amazing!

To be honest, I had to take a week break after chapter 13. I was, and still am, heartbroken from reading this book. Never have I ever been so caught up in a book, let alone a series, that I've come to know these characters as friends and some as family, corny as it may seem.
I cried so much after I finished this book. For an author, Cheree has gone above and beyond with this series! I commend her for how she has portrayed each character. She has no doubt become my number 1 favorite author.
I look forward to reading the rest of her books.

Best Book of the Series

I think that this is the best book of the series. There is a lot of heartache in this book and a lot of fighting and some things you don't even see coming. Enemies are all over the place and this just had me think about life that every corner your watching your back from such hatred it's better to have people in your corner you can trust, that you can call family no matter where they are from.

Wonderful

Ok, t he end made me cry,. I really liked these charactersand the story. And what a story. It reminded me of much of the fictional accounts of WWII. Don't be put off because of my rating. The plot was excellent. Most of my nit-picking is spelling, usage and grammer issues. Enjoy the story for what it is.

Great clean read

I had read the follow up series first. I couldn't wait to read the silver series to see how it had all began. This series may actually create young readers, much like the Harry Potter series. I also see a chance for families to read together and talk together, you might be surprised to find a world view in your children's thoughts. Enjoy learn and grow.

I…uh…I’m not sure how to review this.

As with everything Ms. Alsop writes, it was really, really good: well-written, interesting story, taut dialogue.

But –

There was the death of a particular character. It hurt. For anyone who has read the entire series, I think you’ll agree that if any person deserved a chance to experience life, it was this one. Yes, the death was heroic, but in the end, the person is still dead. I think the series was wrapped up well, but – in my opinion – this just left it on a gloomy note. For me, it completely invalidated one of the earlier books, and, in a way, made it pointless. The most emotional reunification scene I think I have ever read…it became pointless.

I’m just the kind of guy who doesn’t like reading about death. Even a heroic one. As far as I’m concerned, there is no glory in death. The person is still gone, and everyone else has to go on for the rest of their lives without them. That's why I took offf stars - no death, 5 stars.

It’s probably a testament to Ms. Alsop’s writing skills that it affected me this way – that I feel sad over the death of someone who doesn’t actually exist. But I think from now on, even when a book is part of a series, I’ll wait until a few reviews are in so I can get an idea of how it goes.

Silver Moon (The Silver #7) by Cheree Alsop

5 Stars

Oh wow. This was not how I expected the series to end and it is rare that I can say the last book was by favourite, but in this case it was. The series as a whole is great and worth a read, some books I enjoyed more than others but none should be missed. It is because I got to know each of the characters so well in their own story that here and now in the final book I became so emotional. OMG the choices Jaze had to make were heartbreaking and I felt his pain as I read, well done Cheree for how well you wrote those scenes.

This is a roller coaster ride, never in my wildest dreams could I have foreseen where this would go. At points Jaze’s suffering was unbearable, I had to hope that what he believed to be true wasn’t just to stop my own heart from breaking.

I have to give this book a big thumbs up, Cheree Alsop was daring enough to forgo the HEA for all her characters, she was brave enough to kill off some of her main characters and I can see why this had to happen to give the ending greater meaning.

I am still literally crying because of what happens in this book, and although I really did enjoy it, and it will become one of my most memorable series, it's still too soon to talk about it. I wanted to cry my eyes out when Rogert killed Nikki's dad, and then Jaze's mom! OMG, and then Taye and Nora. ANd the last scene with the death of Jet, made me cry buckets of tears. I really did like that she wrote the fight Jaze was in after Jet was killed, interloped with some of Jaze's most important memories of Jet. And then I find out that there is a spin off series that has already been out with Cassie and Alex, and now I'm in even more of a frenzy. P.S. it killed me to discover so many references to the number 7, the twins are seven, they can turn into wolves when they are seven, Jet had the number seven tattooed onto his shoulder, and Jet died in the seventh book, so I don't know if that means anything, but it seems important to note, and I couldn't get it out of my head. And I'm pretty sure that my throat is sore from screaming WHY?????????!?!?!?! I am now going to end my rant.

I can honestly say that I have never found an author who has been able to make me feel such raw emotion for characters and a story, as Cheree Alsop does. I have never shed so many tears for fictional characters, I can't say whether it's a good or a bad thing but one thing is for sure Cheree's books are incredible.

I started with the Werewolf Academy and then went on to read the Silver Series. Personally I think this made even more impact as I already felt a connection for all the characters, but to then delve deeper into their pasts ( struggles of acceptance and embracing love/trust in different forms) just pushed me over the edge.

I don't want to give any spoilers away but there are moments of wishing that you could possibly change the story slightly so that it goes in another direction to alter certain characters fates. However in reality that is the beauty and heartbreak of this truly amazing story, cementing the foundations of the bigger picture.

Inspiring and amazing read.

Definitely the best out of the Seven

I started reading this series because I needed something to read which was fairly light in tone and didn't require much thought on my part. I was aiming to take my mind off the pandemic, and they did the trick. The first six had some good moments, some awful execution at times, some touching scenes, some over-angsty drama, some eye-rolling segments and some saccharine -sweet parts. But this particular book? It broke my heart not once but multiple times. Here I had been thinking that these stories were frivolous in nature, and had truly believed that I couldn't care less about how it all turned out. My whole goal was not to think. But sheesh! I was surprised as to how upset I was. This was worth 4 1/2 stars, because I was a hard sell and the author got to me despite myself.

What a story!! I never cried so much in my life. I think there were even a couple of sobs. Jaze has an impossible choice to make. Reveal the werewolves or genocide. When the ones you love the most betray you and you lose everyone you love, how do you go on.
The characters deep emotions and the relationship the I've grown to have with theses characters is unreal. Ms. Alsop made them so three dimensional that you really do feel their pain. My husband made me put it down at one point because I was crying so hard I couldn't even read anymore. LOL This wasn't the usual fun loving book, but it was sooo good.
I'm was so sad to see my werewolf family move on but I'm so glad that the story continues with Alex and Cassie. I really hope she didn't forget Jaze and his pack.

Broken

I found this series after typing the words “clean shifter” into the search bar. I love shifter books but so much story gets lost when smut takes over. I binge-read this series because I couldn’t stop. Each story was so full and the characters and the locations were so vivid. This is labeled YA...but it never feels “too young.” Each story is amazing and the depth of the characters is phenomenal. I’ve just sat and cried my way through the final book. I mean ugly cried. I don’t often cry...but I felt this to the depths of my soul. Thank you Mrs Alsap, for something truly amazing. I don’t know how the following series can be as good as this one, but I will definitely be reading it.

This was a great book. It really sticks with you. We read this book from Jaze’s perspective again. It had some happy moments, but many sad profound moments in this one. The series didn’t end at all like I thought it would. It definitely surprised me. The losses to the group we have gotten to know throughout the series are staggering. And yet, Cheree Alsop leaves hope for many and hope for the future of the werewolves. I usually hate it when authors kill off characters that I have gotten invested in knowing, but the ones we lose fit the story, even though it was heartbreaking. I don’t want to give away the details. Go read it! 

From start to finish, this entire series has been captivating, enthralling, and exciting! I highly recommend this series for both young adults and the young at heart...and especially for those who love werewolves!

Cheree Alsop is an amazing author and I literally started at book one and couldn't stop until the last book in the series. I won't tell you the ending, but I will say that Jaze, her family, and his friends captured my heart.

In fact, I was so busy reading that I had to wait until the end to write this review!

This is by far the best series I've ever read. I feel like this was the perfect ending to an amazing series. I was devastated by the death of some of the characters in this book. But it only added to the intensity and emotion of this series. I would love to read a follow up novella to see where things are a few years down the road.

Wonderful

What a fantastic ending g to a wonderful series! Keep your hanky handy, because the tears are going to flow, but it was a great way to end. I've already read the following series, Werewolf Academy, so this one was like a backstory for me but both series are fantastic!! Such great reads!! Don't miss either one!!

Such a heartbreaking story!

I was hooked from the very beginning of this series with Jaze's story. This book had me going in so many different ways with my emotions. My heart broke with Jaze's in some of the parts of the story. But, I loved the ending and can't wait to start the academy series.

What a ending!! No spoilers, but I'm so sad this series has ended, it's been a long time since I have cried so much in a book.......

A bucket full of tears

I read Werewolf Academy series first so I knew what was coming in this book. I tried to hold off, only lasted a couple of hours. Make sure you have so many tissues, the softest kind because you will need them.
