They Must is a 6800 word short story penned by author Hewitt E Moore. The genre is "racialist fiction with a dystopian theme," with the writing style as unique as the story is depressing.
The story details the trek of a White family and their quest to make it "Home." The Last War left the United States in a state of carnage and decay, with white people being targeted by cannibalistic tribes. There only hope is to make it "Home." They Must!
Be prepared for a dramatic story about racial survival..
Author of the dystopian novel "White Guilt," the apocalyptic short story "They Must," the ethnic conflict novel "Vengeance is Ours," and a plethora of essays, articles, and poetry.
It was captivating, and well written. I know it's a short story (and a pretty good one at that) BUT I really would have loved to have read this as a fleshed-out fully-fledged novel, or even a novella. A bleak and scary vision of a future world, full of hungry white people and cannibalistic "mud" people. Rape and death and hunger and hiding and walking and very little hope for anyone. I just wanted more!!
Why are racists such terrible authors? This isn't a riddle or anything, it's just that we haven't really had a good author who was a racist since Kipling.
