Once again I found myself intrigued with the story "Legacy" which is the second installment to "The Chronicles of the Nubian Underworld." It pulls the reader in deeper into the BDSM lifestyle, which is rarely discussed openly by people of color, yet is misinterpreted by many in or outside the community of Atlanta, however the readers are begin informed... Sir Rashan, I'm waiting patiently to get my hands on the third installment of this delicious story, which concludes with the story "Tempest" because "Legacy" left me with questions regarding certain main characters and their situations... Sorry no spoilers given here, giggles... But do in Enjoy if you love to read no matter the style of writing!

This was a very good read. It started up where The Awakening ended. Although the beginning was kinda slow for me...it picked up rather quickly and didn't let up. I can't wait to see what big plan Amenhotep and Ramesses have in mind next. I anxiously await the release of book 3, Tempest.

The Dark Side II
The Dom and Domme couple, Ramesses and Neferterri, are back with a new and more exciting journey into the sexual BDSM underworld! In this novel, both set forth strong efforts to discover the truth and learn to build for the future. In addition, they continue the quest for power and control of the underworld.
Shakir Rashaan, I must say, well-written novel, continue to keep up the good work. I read both novels consecutively and the second book began exactly where the first book ended. Old characters are revisited to complete the puzzle. I’m so into tattoos and feel it’s a display of artistry but will never visit a tattoo shop again! I’ve learned that power is dominant in all lifestyles, regardless of good intentions, which can be evil, if not controlled properly.
Explorative, intriguing, and most of all satisfying, “Legacy: Book Two of the Chronicles of the Nubian Underworld” is my favorite read so far this year. Excellent work, Shakir! I look forward to reading more of your novels in the future!

This book took up where Awakening left off it is is just as Hot. This book is hardcore You have to open your mind to read this book . It is sexy as hell too I had to keep putting the book down because I kept saying wow he wrote that ? This author is amazing if you are not into to BDSM you will surely want to try it after reading this series. Ramesses is my Master he took me with the first book in this series and I am still his slave. There is a scene in this book where he takes one of his slaves on a ride that I wish I could get on,the way it is described in this book you can feel it happening to you. I will read anything this author writes if he continues to write books like these. Waiting on the next book Master Ramesses I know it will just as hot.

Now that the reigns of leadership has changed and expansions underway, we learn more about the intricacies of a lifestyles most shun away from knowing they have a blind curiosity. We all have those question we want answers to but are afraid to ask because we fear being look at differently, admit it, for to yourself. The desire to know is overwhelming you.
Within the pages of 'Legacy', you get to once again become the voyeur and indulge in the 'out of body experience' you will not be able to deny enjoying. Positions are rightfully rewarded and taken, secret fantasies become 'controlled' dangerous realities and you'll be on the edge of your seat word for word.

Book # 2: The Legacy was a page turner for me or anyone reading this series. I really enjoyed this book more this time around. In this part of the story you see Ramesses and Neferterri come into who they were chosen to be. I loved the journey that all the subs male and female took to find out weather they truly belong in the house of Kemet- Ka. Now don't get me wrong, but there were a few scenes that were a mind blower and made me say Dam!! I won't give any thing away about the Nubian Underworld and how it will all end. So all you Readers who love a real hot ride into Fetish\ BDSM world sit down with a cold drink and take a very hot ride.!!

This book went faster than the last one. Being sick got me breezing through these books. I liked how I tried to put off reading this book to savor the feels but I missed the world and characters so I had to get back into it. I'll try to do the same for Temptest but we'll see.
There wasn't too much drama going on and midway through you knew what had happened. There was also a chapter that was named Sajira but was clearly Neferterri's pov so that could be a little confusing but all in all I love it all. I'm conflicted about the rape fantasy seeing how I recently got raped myself so it was a bit of a trigger for me especially since they liked it and wasn't at all fucked up by it.

I was too excited to get the second book of the Chronicles of Nubian Underworld in the mail and to read it. I was not disappointed with the development of the characters I've grown to love like Neferterri, Ramesses, sajira, shamise, their family and their friends. Not only did Shakir push some boundaries with a few of the scenes that were described but I honestly couldn't put the book down (and I wasn't a happy camper when I had to FYI). It's refreshing to read something that is based in truth with a little bit of fictional flourish. I can't wait for Tempest (book 3), due out later this year.

An amazing continuation of the underworld and the legacy that accompanies it. Shakir doesn't skimp on things that will indeed make your temperature rise. I'm so excited for the next chapter. I recommend the series to anyone that wants to push the envelope a bit and indulge in the world of self discovery.

I was totally engrossed. The more I read the more I got caught up. We all have a side we don't want to admit to having and Legacy makes you think about it. I wanted the story to continue because that is how caught up I got. Looking forward to the next leg of the journey. Keep them coming.
