This was a neat and efficient novelization of an Australian television series of the 1980's. It was easily readable and a good narrative of the years when the New South Wales Corps held sway over a lot of colonial Australia. The story abounded with long suffering goodies and slimy baddies who got their comeuppance in the end.

This was made into a miniseries that I adored. When I read the book, I was disappointed, and I would gladly watch the series again, because it was worth while. The series ran back in the 80's on t.v.
