Driven by the desire to have the true love she's experienced in her dreams, MONIKA KONRAD uses her magical skills to weave a love spell during the waxing of the moon. As if in response, a strangely familiar Vamsyrian enters her village looking for wolfsbane. Could he be her soul mate delivered to her by the Gods? Or is he the answer to her prayers to protect her and her grandmother from the werewolf that killed her parents?
BRODERICK MAC DOUGAL is drawn to the powerful witch by a familiar force and a vision from the prophetess says Monika is the next phase in the prophecy. Rick makes the raven-haired wise woman his next pursuit to unravel this mystery of why she reminds him so much of his late wife, Davina. However, there are other supernatural forces surrounding her, exposing Rick to a darker side of this deal he made for immortality...and this enchanting nymph may be his salvation.
Broderick's quest for answers causes a chain of events that starts a witch hunt, dooming both him and Monika to the fiery stake of judgment. And through these trials, they learn the Church has a new ally who is hunting down the members of the Army of Light.
Reader Advisory: This story contains some explicit love scenes, described using graphic and direct language. This story also contains explicit, scenes of violence and gore, so is not for the faint-of-heart.
I'm a huge fan of fantasy and paranormal books, especially if they have strong romantic elements. Review copies of my novels are available upon request.
I hated finishing this book. When I finished the previous book Midnight Captive I was all over the place! I was so happy with Rick & Davina, and then Davina was gone and I was in tears! I could not believe it ended like that. I would not believe that was the end ! I would have thrown the book across the room screaming if it hadn't been for the epilogue introducing this installment, Midnight Hunt. I was an emotional roller coaster! Instantly I knew what was going to happen, yet the adventure to get there was far more exciting! 80 years of pure hell, and Rick continued on, ever loyal and faithful, living lonely and watching what he had left of a family perish. I was so excited to read the next chapter in Rick's life.I fell more deeply in love with Broderick in this book and I absolutely love Monika. She is a kicka$$ Sultry little minx and fit so well. She was perfectly written. And dammit. if I couldn't help myself to grow fonder of Angus in this story as well. I really have a feeling Angus will come around, his hatred is not hatred directly towards Rick, but what he Thinks actually happened to him when they were children. & Adding a sexy roguish werewolf to the bunch only made it sizzle even more. I can't wait for the next adventure!!
Book three of this series is another great read. I'm completely enthralled in this series and can't wait to start book four. These books completely take you into the story, like you're there while everything is happening, experiencing everything as if you're there. In my opinion one can't ask for more, these books have it all. So far one of my personal favorite series.
I received this book from the Author and Lovers of Paranormal at Goodreads.com for an honest review. With a book like this, where do you begin!!! I was spellbound, captivated and entranced from the first page and this continued to the very end. My heart was consumed by the love between Monika and Broderick, a love like theirs is really what dreams are made of. The characters are so well defined, there never seems to be a tussle between who the focus is on at any specific time in the book, giving each character their own intricate spotlight. I really felt for each character even when if they were a bit sleazy (Jason & Marcus). The way this book is written and how the characters spoke truly make you feel you are living in the 1600's making it such a breath of fresh air. The storyline was phenomenal and I cannot wait for the next one to come out as I will be the first in line to read it. Thank you for a truly fantastic book.
Not sure how she did it, but Arila Burnz topped her own work with Midnight Hunt the third book in the Bonded by Blood Vampire Chronicles. Ms. Burnz takes her readers to 17th century Germany, to the home of a young and feisty witch who has a very special connection to the ancient vampire, Broderick. Alone for decades, Broderick has wandered, his family is long deceased, but on the 80th anniversary of his beloved Davina’s death, a miracle occurs, and the prophecy one again intrudes on Broderick’s life. Monika is young, fiery and fierce, a witch of many talents and her connection to Broderick runs soul deep. How does this young girl evoke long dead emotions in the vampire? As always, danger is casting its dark shadow over Broderick’s life, but there is more to fear than Angus, as other creatures no have Monika on their radar. Is she, too part of the prophecy that could save the world of the creatures from the dark? The curse of the werewolf is spreading and only Monika can end their suffering and killing sprees. With the odds stacked against them, what kind of relationship can Monika and Broderick have? How has she stolen his heart? How can he forget the love of his life, Davina?
Arial Burnz had made fast-forwarding to the future seem easy! Not a link in her chain breaks, the flow feels so natural, I felt I was there, seeing all of it. With characters as fresh, varied and unique as her vampiric tale, Ms Burnz once again, flexes her writing muscles and turns her imagination loose to create a riveting and atmospheric tale. Highly recommended! Sit back and savor the flow of Arial Burnz' historical romantic fantasy.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.(Lovers of Paranormal)
Broderick MacDougal still grieves for his dead wife Davina, until one day, 80 years after her death, the phrophetess tells Broderick about Monika, his wife reborn.
Monika isn't your usual girl. She is a powerful fire witch! Since her father was infected by the werewolves' curse, their only hope is the cure her mother had worked on before her death.
Alright, this book was nice. I loved how Davina is finally someone with power, too. I mean this time Monika practically saved the day on her own :). I also love witches and liked how there were some traditional werewolves.(When your bitten by a werewolve, you are cursed and so on) However I'm quite unhappy with the series as a whole. I love every book as a standalone, but I don't see how they are connected yet. In my opinion the pace is way too fast. I liked Cailin and first thing I got to know in this was: Davina and Cailin are dead. Nice. How is someone supposed to connect with characters, if they are gone in the next book?
Actually it was still pretty funny for me to read this book though. I'm german and there are a lot of german words and references in this story, it's kind of weird for me to see those in an english/american story lol. It was still nice though, as I kind of had to laugh, when some sister/nun is named Opfer(engl. sacrifice) and dies right away, so can you guess why she only got to live a short time? And Kostbar definitely seems like a value place to Monika :).
So I'm still not too sure what to give this book. I loved it, so if it was a standalone, it would definitely receive 5 stars. But as I'm not so happy with the series, I'd drop it down to 3. (It's that "Oh, really? That again?!" feeling I had while reading) So I settled for 4 stars :)
This series just keeps getting better and better! We are once again focused on Broderick Mac Dougal, in this book we are 80 years after Midnight Captive. With his wife seemingly gone for ever, can he carry on and keep living his life without the other half of his heart? Monika Konrad is a healer in her village along side her grandmother. Since the Inquisition is happening in the world, she is careful about who she lets see her true self, she is a fire witch. After being alone and wanting a man that she is compatible with, she goes to extreme measures to find the man that has visited her dreams. When a stranger come to town asking for Monika's help, she learns that he is a werewolf, and needs her to help him find a cure for the disease. Something Monika would love to have as well, since her father is also infected. Broderick is called to the town where Monika lives by unseen forces. When he meets her, it is like seeing his late wife, Davina all over again. This raven haired woman may just be his Davina, but he needs to be closer to her to fully understand what is happening. When Angus learns where his enemy is he sets off the Inquisition in her town. Monika and Broderick are both facing certain doom at his hands. Can Monika being a fire witch save them both or will Angus finally win and rid himself of he enemy and brother he hates? You need to read this book for those answers! I'll be patiently waiting for more from this series!
This is book 3 in the Bonded By Blood Chronicles and Broderick MacDougal has mourned the death of his wife for 80 years, he is inexplicably drawn to the Kingdom of Germany where he meets Monika a Fire-witch healer , who is in hiding due to the Inquisition killing Witches all over the Kingdom. Monika is Rick's wife Davina re-born, and they are both striving to decide what that means to them when Angus (Broderick's brother and nemisis) learns of his location, and sends the Inquisition after the couple. While this is going on, Monika is on a quest to find a cure for the werewolf curse as her father had been bitten and another werewolf had shown up asking for her help with finding a cure. And if that's not enough of a topsy, turvy, fast paced ride, there is still the question of whether or not Broderick and now Monika can fulfill the Prophecy that has been hanging over Rick since book 1 (Midnight Captive). I wish Amazon would let us give half ☆'s, because this book was a solid 4.5 ☆ read for me. This series gets better with each book as Author Arial Burnz brings us closer to the Prophecy's fulfillment and Broderick MacDougal's happily ever after (I hope). I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
We advance over a century into the future from book two to find Broderick in Germany lost and alone, his family long gone and he is drawn to a small German town by an unknown force. The prophetess lets him know that his beloved has been reborn and is nearby, and when he finds this woman he knows that this is true not only because of the dreams that he has but the feelings that she awakes within him. He finds out that she is a witch and that there are werewolves about, one of which is her father whom attacked him on his first night in Germany. As things progress Monika, his love, finds the final ingredient needed to cure werewolves of their curse and again there is a confrontation with Broderick's brother Angus who has learned of a way to access the blood of the Army of Light and use it against them.
With only one more book published book in the series to go and me being a fast reader I dread the end of it as I hate to wait to find out what happens next. Arial has me hooked on this story and I look forward to finding out what is to happen next in the storyline. It is like a movie playing in my head and I'm enthralled with her characters.
Midnight Hunt (Bonded by Blood Vampire Chronicles, #3)
I was given this book in exchanged for my honest review. Goodreads.com LoP
WOW!!! What was I thinking I read this book over two months ago and I gave it 4.9 stars and it was a five-star rating but I didn't review it properly because I was too busy at and I wanted to write the author, but life got in the way? I call this book a keeper and need a hard copy from a bookshelf.
In this story it's been over 80 years later and Broderick is dealing with heartbreak his wife is dead. The new characters in this book , in walks Monika, and no I am not going to tell you all the details of this book, because it was it was simply amazing and is a must read. I will tell you that this series just keep getting better and I can't wait to read book number four.
In summary, Devina is gone; Monika is in him we have new line werewolves, witches, and a lot of sizzling hot sexual contents. PS new and a really bad guy that goes by the name of Augus (he back****)
Love that transcend thru different lifetimes For the most part this is a self-contained story and yet part of a series. There were a few areas that were a little fussy by not reading the books that came before this one, but in the end things were explained for the most part. It does make me want to read the previous stories in the series. A whole lot of things were going on with characters like Werewolfs, Elemental Witches, Vamsyrians, Prophetess and a prophecy with several parts to be fulfilled. A fellow Vamsyrian brother with a grudge and feud who also plays the part of the Inquisitor of the Church. And if that’s not enough there’s a sect of what are call The Army of the Light or Tzava Ha’or. And all the while there is a love story that transcends through different life times with a reincarnation of a soul. Well written and very entertaining to read. I own this book through the Highland Shifters Box Set.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author.
I love how the author reinvents the series with Davina being reincarnated. I wondered how she would keep the spark of the series and still keep the series moving forward to fulfill the prophecy. Monika Konrads is an elemental witch living in Germania and is the reincarnated Davina. Broderick starts dreaming of his long lost love and then starts to see visions of this new beauty. He then runs into his old acquaintance Malloren Rune who explains what has happened. I love that we now have werewolves and witches in the story and it's tastefully intertwined and not just thrown in, because they are supernatural creatures. During Monika's life we see another "task" of the prophecy completed. I also like that we learn more about Malloren and that we are introduced to the Elementals and given a glimpse of how the Vampsyrian world is operated. I highly recommend this series. It is very captivating and well written.
How could I possibly be ok with reading this book when Broderick promised to love Davina forever? (SPOILER) When Monika is Davina's reincarnated spirt THATS HOW! And...O MY GOSH, she is wonderful! Spirited and fiesty Monika can hold her own. In addition to their saucey ;) relationship we now have Were's and Witches. Angus is also back in all his evil glory and we also get one more piece of the prophessy revealed. If you like romance, paranormal, steamy love scenes and a mystery I highly recomend this series. This is my favorite one so far! Arial master at layering a story line, writes in such a way that you can't help getting emotionally attached to the characters.
I was given this book free for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)
Oh my I didn't really think I could love this series anymore but oh how I was proven wrong!! I really hated getting to the last page! I wish it could have gone on! Mrs. Burnz does an amazing job of keeping you on edge! With a prophecy that includes Witches Vampires and Werewolves where could you go wrong.. Where to start the roller-coaster of events that take place.. without giving away to much? I honestly don't think I can!! Lets just you have got to give this series a shot you can't go wrong.. I do hope we don't have to wait to long for us to see more!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the Author and the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on Goodreads.com
I don't know what I was expecting in book three but it definately took a direction I wasn't expecting.....in a very good way!! The twist with this story was amazing and I loved every minute of it. This author has written three books in this series and each is it's own unique story. I have enjoyed being along on Broderick's journey. There is so much I would like to say about this book but there would be too many spoilers if I did. This was a very good story and the ending was very satisfying (at least for me it was). I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
I blew through this one in a day and a half. :) Was so glad to find out what had been going on with Rick. And I really liked Monika. The world that Arial has built is unlike anything else I've read. Definitely not your typical vampire book, thank goodness! I don't want to give away any spoilers but will say Herr Carr was a nasty piece of work. I hated him the moment I started reading about him. Crossing my fingers we don't have to wait too long for the next book, lots of stuff going on! Keep them coming Arial, pretty please! :)
3rd book in the series. It's gets better et better. Broderick @end of his beloved Davina's mortal life. His travels as he grieves. Do you believe in reincarnation?, Here he meets Monika a witch et her family. The drama here comes in the form of werewolves. Angus Campbell impersonating a Priest lol. He takes a wife. He travels by his ship back to Scotland. The prophecy third sign is completed. It's mysterious how the Council is involved now et Cordelia Malloren will not give up much. Book 4 here I come. Highly recommended
Of course I loved this book!!! Arial has done it again with the third installment of the Bonded By Blood series. It was certainly a page turner for myself. It has everything you would want in a paranormal romance, vamps, weres, and even witches! The romance was certainly steamy and left me wanting more! Arial does an amazing job with the research she puts into her work! Can't wait for the next book!
I received this book from the Lovers of Paranormal(LOP)for an honest review. I liked the book very much, but i must admit I like the first book the best. Not to sure whether or not I liked the reborn of Davida. I liked Monika better and wanted him to love her for her not for who she use to be. But other than that I ejoyed the book alot. And thought also that if she fell for Marcus too, it would of been a good love triangle.
I had a little trouble with this story at first because of Broderick having a new love interest. I couldn't get over the fact that Davina was gone but, once I accepted it I grew to really like this story. Monika proved to be a very interesting and intriguing character. I also really enjoyed the added bonus of werewolves in this story. I love werewolves. I'm still in love with Broderick too. Can't wait for the next edition.
This is another brilliant read by Arial. A descriptive plot and characters that leave you wanting more. I loved the introduction of werewolves and witches in this installment, it brings an exciting new element to the series and I can't wait to see how it develops in the next book.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal). This book had a surprising if somewhat sad beginning. It is an amazing book and I enjoyed reading it. This book kept me in suspense and I loved it. I like how the story is moving. There’re many twists and turns in this book, but it is very gripping.
The witch hunt time period just showed up in the series. Fascinating and sad. It made me want to research the time period, but religious fanaticism in any time period is just depressing so instead I read the next book in the series.
I read all five books in a week, now I'm desperately wishing if have waited until the series final was released before starting these!
What's not to like about this book? The cast includes vampires, witches, weres, and a prophecy that includes them all. The pace of the book was fast and the characters were passionate, funny, with human frailties. A great vampire book!
What a fantastic read! Although I love fantasy/paranormal movies, I don't usually read the genre. Let me tell you, Arial Burnz has changed that about me. I fell so in love with her characters that they stayed with me long after shutting off my Kindle. I look forward to more from this author.
I am so very liking this book. I think am in love with Broderick myself, lol. Now mind you that I think Monika is such an awesome person too and I could easily fall in love with her too, if I were to swing that way. I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series.
