Together, they need to find a way to save the world.
d’Artagnan (Dar) Naylor: trained by the best, disciplined by the toughest, and raised by the vilest – his father. He bought into his family’s life of crime, until he learned the reasons behind it.
Now, he possesses enhancements installed by The D.I.R.E. Agency – an organization he once called enemy. He has to stop the traitors from the past before they destroy the future.
Jocelyn Chalmers wakes up in the future without a memory. All she’s certain of is the fear in her gut and her blinding attraction to gorgeous, protective D.I.R.E. agent, d’Artagnan Naylor.
When close quarters prove too much for their passionate hunger, Dar knows his future is destined for hard decisions. Once Jocelyn’s memory is restored, she begs Dar to return to the past and save the world.
Yet, to change the past, changed the future. How can they be certain of the consequences of his actions? How can he return her to the past where she belongs after all they’ve shared?
Turbulent times come to a head when the past sends its own destruction to the future amidst long-awaited retribution.
Can Dar escape his past to save the future? Or, does fate have its own reckoning in mind?
D'Artagnan, Cass' twin brother (Cass is the heroine of book two) has realised the false truths his father propagated to him and Cass and decides to redeem himself working for DIRE. Before his enhancements can be implanted, he is called to the hospital after a female was found nearby the time machine entry point.
Jocelyn, is the daughter of Dr Chambers, and has travelled to the future with a mission... pity she has amnesia and can't remember what her plan was!! When she temporarily wakes and sees Dar, she feels safe with him and begs him to stay with her. Uncharacteristically Dar accedes to her wishes and stays with her at the hospital. As the pair spend more time together their attraction grows and Dar tries to put space between them, knowing that she will most likely be travelling back to her own time.
I loved Dar and Joce's story and the continual unravelling of the lies, half-truths and subterfuge that their parents had been involved in. As a Dr Who fan I loved all the time travelling and superhero shenanigans!!! But they in no way detract from a fab and original premise.
No spoilers but I kept hoping for redeeming features from certain characters but didn't get them and by the end I was so glad that Karma can be a fickle mistress and everyone got what they deserved!!!!!
And the history of the parents just gets more and more ... just wow. Lots of deception and back stabbing went on between Dar's parents and their peers.
Dar has a chance to really prove himself as DIRE's newest agent. He's given time travel, which is very very cool. The chemistry between him and Jocelyn isn't as hot as the previous two couples, but they do have it. They actually take more time to get to know one another than the others did.
What I really like about this series is it kind of keeps you guessing. lots of back story comes to light as you read and you realize that these kids (ok, they're not kids anymore, but still) are incredibly lucky to have grown up as well adjusted as they did. Seriously.
This book takes off where book 2 leaves off traveling back in time to make things right. The author gives you an action pack read full of danger and thrills that will keep you guessing as she throws in a little humor to keep you smiling. This is just a little more completed and you will have to pay a little closer attention or you will find yourself going back in re-listening a few times. I really enjoyed the science fiction military thriller.
D'Artagnan might have been raised and trained by his father who was a criminal. He believe his father until he found the true reason behind all his father was. He switched sides bring his father down as he becomes a D.I.R.E agent. It is a run against time as he goes after the traitors from the past before they destroy the future. He has already time traveled back now DIRE builds his body so he can travel back in time with no machine. Dar finds his self torn between helping the past to save the future and his feelings for Jocelyn who has woken up with no memory. Dar is a very passionate man but is a true gentleman giving her time to remember her past and come to terms with what she will find out.
Jocelyn wants to do what is right for the world but doesn't want to give up Dar. As she remembers she knows she must go back to make a wrong right so there is a tomorrow for the rest. It is tough to do what is right when your heart is being torn apart. She loves Dar but she loves her family. She has some tough choices to make. Jocelyn is a very compassionate person. She is sweet and kind and truly a wonderful character. She is about to find out life isn't as she sees it. She doesn't know who she can trust anymore. Her father and stepmother have so much they are hiding. How can the ones who have been so kind and raised her be so evil?
I thought Fred Filbrich did a wonderful job of narration. The only issue I found was I could hear him swallow. I did find one I heard it I found myself listening for it which might add to me noticing it in this one more so than in the first audio of this series. I thought he brought the characters to life giving them wonderful voices with lots of action. His tones where right on the money you were never left guessing as to how the character was feeling. You could hear the pain, smiles and excitement with each one. I heard no background noise and I could not tell if he ever took a break. It was even flow throughout the whole narration. It was easy to tell if the character was male or female as he changed back and forward. I really enjoyed his narration and do look forward to listening to him some more.
The author gives you an action pack read as she brings surprise after surprise to the readers. This is really a complicated read with everything each of the characters are hiding. Nothing is as it seems and then the past comes and hits you in the face leaving the characters guessing as to what just happen. The author gives you very strong characters which you will come to love. I am sure you will be like me and can't wait to listen to the other audios in this series. The ending of this story will leave you begging for more. I know I can't wait to start the next one. The authors writing style is out of this world she knows how to pull you in as she spins a tale leaving you hooked. She knows how to heat the pages up as she keeps you laughing at the messes they get into. She gives you a passion filled read that will leave you smiling. She brings enhancements to her characters giving them super powers that you can only imagine. Before you are done with this read your head will be spinning as to who is related to whom. She takes you to another place in time as she brings the past to the future and back again. She keeps you smiling and laughing out loud at the story she spins. This is one heck of a ride you do not want to miss.
If you haven't discovered Joni Hahn's D.I.R.E. Series, you are seriously missing out. Part romantic suspense, part urban fantasy and part Sci-Fi. A complicated story of passion and revenge. Of justice and forgiveness. Of love and hate. Of good and evil.
In Tristan's book we were introduced to D.I.R.E. and it's advanced technologies. We also found out about the complicated relationships of it's founders. In Aidan, we discovered that the future is totally wrapped up in the past and what while we thought that Tristan was complicated, Aidan made it seemed like a child's bedtime story (See my reviews HERE). You can only wonder if Ms. Hahn is going to be able to keep going. I am happy to say, that D-Artagnan's exceeds all expectations.
Jocelyn woke up after an accident, not knowing who she was or where she came from. What could be scarier? Starting to remember. It's a slow process and her only link to her past is sexy D.I.R.E. agent D-Artagnan (Dar). Each day brings them closer together and closer to remembering her past. Only Jocelyn isn't aware that her past is THE past. Once her memory returns she has to decide when she belongs.
D-Artagnan Naylor was raised by the best (evil meglomaniac but the best), brought into the family business he has never doubted. But recent events have made a startling impact and Dar discovers just why his father made his choices. Lost and seemingly alone he accepts a position with D.I.R.E. and completely switches sides. Enhanced as only a D.I.R.E. agent can be Dar has been given the ability to go back in time. Only when he goes he has to take Jocelyn with him, returning her to her time...but letting go of a live that is timeless.
There are so many twists and turns in this series. It's not overkill but you do have to pay attention. The intrigues and manipulations are brilliant. Ms. Hahn's skill with relationships is masterful. This is not a simple case of connect the dots, first you have to find them.. and then Ms. Hahn tilts the chessboard and everything changes.
Trips back in time seem perfectly reasonable but some of the surprise passenger on the return trip shocks them all.
This book answers some questions that you didn't even know you had. Its a book about love and family and extreme forgiveness. At times that forgiveness was a bit simplistic but it went to prove that love really can conquer all.
As with the first two books, this is a book you want to discuss. It grabs you and plays with your emotions. Offering amazing resolutions to a conflict that began a generation ago. Dar and Jocelyn bridge more than time with this book. And while Agent T3 is the last in this trilogy Ms. Hahn did leave room for more stories(whew). I look forward to reading whatever she has to show us next.

Hahn delivers thrilling conclusion in book three of D.I.R.E. Agency series
Be prepared to stay up all night when you're reading one of Joni Hahn's D.I.R.E. Agency series. Packed with suspense, alpha heroes, and strong sassy, intelligent, and independent heroines, these romances deliver on every front. There's a touch of paranormal with the enhanced-heroes and time travel; plenty of thrills; and, above all, romance.
Each of the three books in the series profiles a different agent, in book three, Agent T3: d'Artagnan provides needed understanding of Cass' twin brother Dar. (Cass is the heroine of book two) i don't want to give away any spoilers for the earlier books in the series, but just let me tell you, time travel factors significantly into this plot. If you're a fan of Doctor Who like I am, it's not hard to suspend disbelief and imagine time travel is possible. (Wouldn't you like it to be?) Hahn's grasp of the possibilities and scientific probabilities make this fun. As do some villains imported from an earlier time.
The romance, well, it is quite beautiful and there were moments when I was wiping some silent tears from my face as I read Dar and Jocelyn's story. Book three's story itself is incredibly dynamic. I couldn't stop myself from turning the pages and began to race to the end as it is truly compelling (and addicting).
Hahn manages to tie up quite a few loose ends with this book, but it's only the conclusion of the first trilogy. She assures the readers that the series will continue. With two strong alpha males who were introduced in book two, I have a feeling that they well may feature into future D.I.R.E Agency stories.
In conclusion, I'd recommend that you add Joni Hahn's D.I.R.E. Agency series to your bookshelf. I'm adding it my permanent one as this is a series I anticipate going back to reread in the future. And yes, I still want a date like Tristan gave Rachel - hopping city to city across the globe in one magical evening!
Joni Hahn's D.I.R.E. Agency series is a MEGA five star must-read. Be prepared to stay up all night to finish it!

Review: 5 stars General: This is the third book in the series and I would say at this point you do need to read at least book 2 prior or you will be a little confused. The world building and science are still great in this book, but I just felt there were a lot of references and events that a reader would need/want to know before diving into this one. By far my favorite book so far and I honestly wasn't expecting to like Dar since I didn't prior!
Time travel really kicks into high gear into this book, but I won't tell you why. I loved the amp up in it and think it was easily understood and well written. The characters in this book may be the best thus far in the series. Also, the hardest to follow, because of the time travel. Like I said, it was well written but if someone were to pay less than full attention there are a few sections where character relationships got a little hard to follow.
The plot was awesome. So original while taking an old classic plot at the same time. D.I.R.E. is still one of my favorite agencies/ creations ever and I'd love to see something occur with the higher ups (crosses fingers for more books). I was drawn in from page one till the very end, rooting for the characters the entire way. There were a lot of questions finally fully answered/explained and it felt like a nice wrap up to the trilogy.
Characters: Jocelyn: Jocelyn is a character that I wasn't sure if we were supposed to like or hate when we meet her. I had no initial feelings to her brutal actions but as the story went I fell in love with her. She was so realistic that she really came to life. Her tension- sexual and emotional- with Dar was outstanding and I think a little of why I changed my mind about him was because of her.
d'Artagnan (Dar): Dar wasn't my favorite. I know he had his world flipped on it's head and I connected with that. But his personality was a little to abrasive for me. However, being in his head changed all that and he's definitely my favorite in the series. Plus his power- time travel- is my all time favorite super power!
The third book in the DIRE series is almost as amazing as the first ones. d’Artagnan story is more dramatic than Aidan’s and Tristan’s, where theirs had a reluctant, but harshly sexual feel, Dar’s definitely has a more urgency in it. d’Artagnan’s perspectives offers readers a look into his mind, what makes him tick. He’s witty and a complete smart ass.
Dar has always felt family loyalty rises above all else, but his father has basically severed ties. Now the DIRE men and woman stand beside him and support him. He owes them his life, for everything they’ve done despite him being, at one time, their enemy. Having been a bad guy gone good, he feels as if he doesn’t really fit in anywhere, his father’s constant degrading remarks keep popping into his head as readers continue through the DIRE story. But, he finds a reason to believe in himself, and her name is Jocelyn Chalmers. When the time comes to put things right, will he be able to do the right thing and leave her? Or will he fight for the love they share?
Jocelyn is from another time. Her surroundings unfamiliar, except for one. His aqua eyes and long dark hair greet her, he was gorgeous. He minds said caution but her heart galloped. Could she trust in him?
d’Artagnan is an amazing read and I can’t wait to see what else Joni has in store for the DIRE Agency. Nothing comes easy for these soldiers, especially love and Dar has his hands full already. If you want a witty and hot read, full of kick-ass badasses you’ll love d’Artagnan and the entire DIRE Series.
Coping with the shock of their mother's duplicity, d'Artagnan and Tristan get to the business of being brothers. Dar's struggling to fit the DIRE agent mold as he entertains the job offer to be their exclusive time-travel agent and faces his father's deceit. Adding to his emotional luggage is the thunderclap of emotion he got from a new female captive.
Jocelyn Chalmers was memorable to the team as the woman who tried to convince Aiden to take her with him. She became the unwilling accomplice of the men tasked to bring Aiden to her father. Jocelyn's worse for wear after the trip, complete with amnesia and zooms in on Dar to be her savior.
Jocelyn was a likable enough character with sufficient depth but lacked credibility for my taste. Rough around the edges Dar has been sufficiently remodeled to fit the DIRE ideal and complements her character. As a couple they fit but in my opinion lacked chemistry making their insta-love mind-boggling.
For this reader's taste this entry was so rushed it felt reverse-engineered and missed a few chunks. It's a fun series for a romance enthusiast that likes a sci-fi element and so far a lazy or rainy afternoon read. Each entry gives enough information to seem to be a stand-alone but there's an over reach arc recommending they be read in order. Actually 3.5 stars
Credentials: • Rebel son of Former Navy SEAL • Trained under his father Enhancements: • Time Travel
3 Star. With a little more umph in the sex department, it would be a 4 or 5 star. Typically I don't read paranormal books, but I do love Romance novels and I did find this book interesting with the use of technology infused into a "soldier" for the good of all. I do like more ummph in the passion scenes, but I did enjoy the book.
In book three focuses on d-Artagnan Naylor (Dar) who is the son of DIRE’s rival Robert Naylor. Now that Dar and his twin sister Cassandra have their eyes open, Dar is infused with the special power of Time Travel.
He has to stop the traitors that want to take down D.I.R.E. When Joyce Chalmers wakes up in the future with Dar, she figures out that her stepmother and father who now lived in the past, was not on the side of the USA but instead was trying to give technology to the Germans and change history. Not if Dar has anything to say about it.
When the passion becomes so strong that Joyce and Dar can’t resist it, they give into their passion. But, the problem is that when this is all over, Dar will have to take her back to the past in order not to change the future.
What is Dar going to do, he can’t give Joyce up? If you like Paranormal with a Dash of romance, this book is for you.
WOW, Joni Hahn did it again! I don't want to give away any spoilers and will say you need to read the whole series to get the full effect of seriously HOTT super hero guys, beautiful stubborn women who are smart, fighters and not waiting to be saved by a man all the time. The sci fi aspect is so intriguing and thrown in the steamy romance scenes work so well it amazed me. So many twists and turns yet easy to keep up with and trying to figure out which secret would come out next kept me on my toes!! I wish there was more books in this series!!!
d'Artagnan, has lived all his life under his fathers thumb. Now he has a chance to start over as a DIRE agent. His assignment: watch over the mysterious beauty Jocelyn. Jocelyn wakes up in the hospital with no memory of who she is. All she remembers is that her life is in danger. The one person she feels safe with is d'Artagnan. d'Artagnan knows Jocelyns' origins. He just has to figure out how to jostle her memory and not lose her in the process.
I wasn't expecting to like Dar as much as I do. I thought for sure he was going to always be the bad guy. But after the betrayal of his father. Learning about his true mother, falling for Jocelyn. Learning more about his new brother and sister. There was so much to learn in this book! Dar goes beyond awesome! Dar turns out to be the complete opposite as he's portrayed in the past books of the D.I.R.E. series. Dar turns out to be quit the Agent and all around good guy.
Wow and Wow to say I have fallen in love with Tristan, Aidan and Dar is an understatement. There is plenty of testosterone floating around, enough to make you think your normal alpha male looks like a dweeb!! It saddens me to say I have finished the series far to quickly, but what a brilliant read it was, full of edge of the seat action, romance and sexiness, with a great story line. I hope there will be more adventures coming from the D.I.R.E agents. A highly recommended read.
The total wrap up of all loose ends was plain unbelievable. All the "bad" guys are conveniently dead and the Phoenix rises from the ashes yet we are to believe that this won't have a great impact on the future?! People. Are. DEAD...of course it will have impact! This is the weakest book in the series. Much is asked of the reader's imagination to go with this trumped up story. Very disappointing end to the trilogy.

As the third book of this series, I enjoyed seeing all the characters and everything come into play. Again, the special powers were unique to this genre, as it wasn't vampires or otherworldly characters, but due to government enhancement. I liked that play and I think that Joni Hahn did a good job with it.
Ok, I have a problem with this book. I won't give anything away, but I will say, I felt Dar had too much power in this book. Yes I know he was the main character, but I don't know, something just didn't sit well with me. Also, his relationship with Jocelyn left me wanting more. Jocelyn was too bold for being from 1944.
Okay, I think d'Artagnan's story is a bit underdeveloped. why, mostly because the thing that happened between him and Jocelyn is a bit too fast. so i don't really feel the chemistry.
I was expecting more action you know, but even though the ending is disappointing, in my opinion, I still enjoyed this book.
I'm not sure what others look for in their books but I found this grabbed my attention and held for the whole story. I liked that you know it will continue in book two and three. No lag time just hit and go. Enjoy. The last thus this book was as good as the previous two, it tied everything up nicely.
Excellent does not describe this book along with the other 2 in the series. Great storyline and characters an at the edge of your seat read. I couldn't put it down. I do hope there are more to come
Being the son of The D.I.R.E. Agency's enemy as well as being one himself, d'Artagnan (Dar) finds himself among a new family and a new outlook on life. While on a mission he falls for a woman he knows he can't have. Follow Dar as he struggles with the changes in his life.
Joni Hahn knocks it out of the park with this one. Smokin! I just love this series. My only complaint is that I wish there were more books! I'll definitely be looking for more from this author.
Absolutely loved this series! Another great story loved how it kept you guessing what was going to happen next! Hahn is a good author can't wait to read more from her!
