* Review of Not Enough by Leigh Ann Lunsford *

Title: Not Enough  Author: Leigh Ann Lunsford

Series: YES  Publication Date: AVAILABLE NOW

Once you think about something enough, you will ingrain it into your head and life.

Brielle Park's life has been anything but normal. She has always felt like she isn't enough. She never was for her parents and couldn't be enough for her grandfather. If only she could be enough to someone.

Graduating a year early and coming back home to her siblings is all Brielle wants to do. Screw the extra year away. She'd rather be surrounded by those she love and back on the farm.

Helping her older sister, Abby, raise her two younger siblings is all Brielle wants to do, besides Cheering.

Never being enough for the people she loves has hindered Brielle in a lot of ways.
With Colby walking into her and her family's life, he will have her rethinking her feelings. Colby makes Brielle feel as if she's enough and more.

Can Brielle let her walls down and let Colby in? Can they both get over the hurdles in their way and live the life they want? Or will their mistakes be too much to over come?

Not Enough is one of those books that grab you and doesn't let go till the very end. Hell, even a few days after I finished I was still thinking about this story. The author gives us the readers, everything we could possibly want in a story. Brielle is a stubborn headed, funny and smart character. She's like a momma bear to her siblings. Seriously, her character is a breath of fresh air. Thank you Leigh for giving us a character like her! Colby is, well damn... I just LOVE him! It's easy as that. All the other characters build this story too, it's a well rounded cast. They each bring their own to this story. Not Enough touches on some real life situations. I know we all at some point have felt like Brielle, like we're never enough for someone... I know I have. And Ladies, this is a story that doesn't have us hanging with a cliffhanger. It's truly a store of HEA. I give this book 5 STARS!!!

OMG, AHHH-MAZING!! This book is such a great start to the Parker Sibling Series!!

Brielle Parker's life has been anything but normal. My heart broke for her from the start. I did not know what had happened in her past to make her feel so unwanted but I just couldn't put this book down till I found out. I loved Brielle!! She is such a strong willed but broken person. She has such a spitfire attitude and she speaks what is on her mind!! I loved the closeness she shares with her siblings, Addison, Cambree and Dustin. I found myself laughing my butt off at all the craziness between them!!

"Colby, I don't have a lot to give you, I am not going to be enough, and I won't recover from you, but damn it I am ready to give you everything I can."

Colby James....OH MYY GOSH he was the greatest guy ever to Brielle (his Belle) His love for her will melt your heart!! He is so tender and patient with her however, I will warn you now, there will come a time when you will want to jump thru your kindle and beat him but you will be cheering for him and loving him by the end!!

"You are enough. Every day I will show you. I want you. All of you. No secrets between us. I will worship you, Belle, for as long as you have me."

I loved that Brielle and Colby connected and communicated thru songs. I even found myself trying to listen to the song myself during those scenes.

I loved the backstory that was going on with Brielle's sister Addison and Colby's cousin Tyler. That ending with these two has me wanting to jump into their story "Not Leaving" now!! I need to know if things with them will work out and if they get their HEA!!

Will Brielle be able to put down her walls and let Colby in? Will she ever feel like she is enough and find her HEA?

"Never, pretty girl, will I give up on us. I will always try and give you what you need. I will always be here."

This book will make you laugh your butt off, cry and fall in love with all the characters...

All I can say is go one click this book now!! You will NOT regret it!! That ending was so awesome and I am still on such a huge book hangover!!

Leigh Ann....you my friend are AWESOME!!! You may now add me to your list of stalkers!! I can't wait to read all your books!!

Not Enough is the story about Brielle Parker, a girl with a feisty attitude yet a low self esteem. She puts up a mask to the world so they won't see her. In her eyes she'll never be enough. To anyone and most importantly herself.

Brielle is on her way home from college it help take care of her younger siblings. Their parents are selfish people who only care about their social standing. Eight years ago, Brielle went through a traumatic incident and her parents didn't believe her. Resulting in her and her siblings to live with their grandparents.

On the day she gets home from college, Brielle sees a beautiful boy talking to Brielle's older sister Addison's, boyfriend Tyler. The mystery boy is none other than Tyler's cousin Colby. From the moment the two lock eyes, it's love at first sight, or Brielle's words, lust.

I think that's the moment the book lost me. I dislike love at first sight. And even though Brielle says that it's "lust" almost ten pages later she's talking about how she's falling for Colby? What???

Pg. 39 "For now I will play his flirting game and see where it may go, but I don't believe in love at first sight, just lust, and I have that in spades for Colby."

Pg. 48 "I just told the man I was possibly falling for that I was not enough."

Mind you this is all in the same night. Which is it? Love or lust? Colby pretty much is in "love" with Brielle from the beginning. Going as far as to get jealous over guys possibly wanting Brielle. Um...no, just no. He hasn't even met the girl yet he's acting like he owns her.

Pg.17 "No other guy in this town will be doing shit for her; that will be my job."

He then proceeds to wonder why he's thinking that and then to thinking about how the only thing he wants to make her do is scream his name over and over again. I was like that sounds more like it. Lust. Lust at first sight I can handle. I don't like Brielle or Colby, at all. At least not together. I like my couples to have a little bit more build up.

Another pet peeve of mine was the way Brielle acted. I thought it was awesome how feisty she was at first. But the moment she called a child a skank was the moment I wanted to throw my iPad against the wall. You don't ever call a child that, ever!!! It was uncalled for and I might be acting really sensitive towards that but it's not something I agree with. Children kill themselves everyday for hurtful words such as those.

Pg. 33 "No, these are the skanks that thought it was appropriate to put their dirty ass lips on my brother and upset my sister. They can sit their little tramp asses in the middle of the room where everyone can stare at them. Maybe then they will learn who they shouldn't mess with."

That offended me very deeply. Your a damn adult calling two girls who kissed your brother, a skank... Who the hell does that!

After all that I felt very disengaged from the characters. The dialogue was awkward and stilted at times making the story not flow as easily. At times it was overly dramatic.

I could see where the story was trying it go but unfortunately it fell short for me.

============================
Update!

Okay, so it was brought to my attention that maybe my review was a little harsh. And while I still stand by my words I guess I will explain my thinking.

The part up there about how Brielle calls a child a skank, it was not a part I liked. I'm not changing my feelings about that. YES, I'm looking at it from a mother's pov and not a sibling's pov but even if I was just looking at it from a siblings POV...I would still not say that about a child. And as a Goodreads reader "kindly" pointed out...Brielle never said it to her face but was talking about it in an "adult" conversation with someone else. But here is where that reader is wrong. She may not have called the two girls a skank and a tramp to their face but she said it loud enough for them to hear. Which in my opinion is just as bad. So yeah...very "adult" of her.

Also...yes I like my romances with MORE build up. As a young girl and reader I did use to like fast paced love and sometimes I still do...if it works. It did not work in this book for me. I did not feel the chemistry between the two, all I saw was lust. If it takes a couple 200 + pages to get together and the author is able to keep my interest in that very long book then I am totally fine with that! I get that these are BOOKS + MOVIES but everyone does have their own taste. Now I'm older and I like my couples to have a little more angst and a connection when they fall in love. I didn't feel any ounce of that between Brielle and Colby. None. Zero. Zilch. Connection and chemistry are a must for me.

Third...Yes, it would seem like I read a totally different book from everyone else. Maybe it's because I did. Every reader reads and interprets a book differently. A book i could absolutely love, well you might absolutely hate. That's what reading is about. If we all loved every single book, well that's just boring. I am okay with being the odd man out. To each is own.

To Leigh Ann, I think you are the sweetest person and I am so glad we connected on Facebook. I'm not a reader to try and bring an author down, ever! I don't condone bullying just as I know you don't. My opinion is just that, an opinion. My review was not a way to bring you down. I will continue to root for you as you take on this journey. It takes guts to be an author and getting both good and bad reviews comes with the territory.

Brielle is a smart talking, capable and independent woman who’s just graduated from the University of Tennessee and moved home to resume taking care of her three siblings on their grandparents’ farm.

Colby is a tall, gorgeous, physical therapist with a hopeless romantic side that falls in love at first sight with Brielle and moves in to sweep her off her feet.

Brielle has been closed off for so long, will she be able to let Colby in?

I am absolutely in love with the first half of this book. There were moments that made me laugh so hard I was gasping for breath. And there were other moments that were so sweet and tender I was wiping tears from my cheeks. The characters are smart, sassy and exceptionally witty especially when read (in my mind) with a thick Southern accent. The author absolutely nails the dialogue, the family interactions, the character development – all of it just reeled me in hook, line and sinker.

The second half of the book falls a little flat by comparison. Brielle has some issues in her past (who doesn’t really?) that provide just enough of a wedge between her and Colby that when he reacts badly to a couple of out of context situations, the whole relationship unravels and Brielle and Colby have to figure out which way to head next. While the events and how they happen are completely believable and authentic, the storytelling lacks the life and vibrancy that the first half of the book holds.

Ultimately this book took me on a fun journey with a fantastic cast of characters. I hope the next book brings back the fun, snap and sass that this author writes so incredibly well.

Wow what a book, I highly recommend this book. It's filled with love, friendship, intense loyalty.

I loved Brielle from the start and I loved her more right to the end, her banter with her family is off the charts. She handles her issues well enough that he family doesn't see to deeply. Her loyalty to her family has her moving back home where she meets the very sexy Colby James. He is new in town and takes an instant shine to Brielle.
They click from the start but Brielle holds back some, until she can't deny the connection anymore.
Colby is totally swoon worthy and he truly melts your heart when she shows Brielle that she is enough. Their love is evident even if Brielle can't say the words he knows deep down but it still hurts a little not hearing the words. I just wanted to hug Colby and tell him she does love him.

The heartbreak caused knots in my stomach because even as I was reading the words that Colby was saying I didn't believe that he believed them himself, he ripped Brielle's heart in two and for that I wanted to hug and slap him at the same time.
This makes Brielle take stock of her life yet again and she travels to heal her heart. Once she come back to her love, all is right after issues get talked through.
I loved the epilogue, who doesn't lol. It was very sweet and I'm looking forward to reading 'Not Leaving' because the way 'Not Enough' was left it will be an equally amazing book.

Thanks Leigh Ann Lunsford for gifting me this amazing series. Not Enough is the first book in the Parker Siblings series and it's super good. This family is crazy, funny and they are there for one another. This is how families should be. There are always struggles in everyone's lives, but having a support system of family more importantly siblings is crucial (sorry only children). Leigh Ann has brought that to life with this family. 4 Stars for book 1 in the Parker Siblings Series.

This book focuses mainly on the middle child, Brielle. At a young age Brielle was exposed to something horrific that no child should ever go through. Having parents who are more focused on climbing the political and social ladder than dealing with their 4 young children, Brielle and her 3 siblings move from Florida to Tennessee to live with their grandparents. After years of living happily with the love they never knew from their parents, their grandparents both pass suddenly. Brielle and her older sister Addison have the difficult task of now raising their two teenaged siblings. Brielle's emotional struggles all stem from the incident that pulled them out of their parents care. Losing the 2 people that showed her how to love again Brielle is set on the fact that she will never be enough for someone to ever love. When Colton moves into town and starts working at the gym the Parker's own the walls Brielle has built around her heart will come crashing down.

This book is Awe-Inspiring!!! This book struck home for me and with that being said Leigh Ann did an absolutely amazing job on her first novel!!

Not Enough is the story about Brielle Parker, a girl with a feisty attitude yet never feels that she is 'Enough'. She puts up a mask to the world so they won't see her pain and troubles. In her eyes she'll never be enough. To anyone and most importantly herself.

Then Colby walks into her life.... Brielle has been closed off for so long, will she be able to let Colby in?
Yes they have physical chemistry but can Colby help heal Brielle from her past.

Will Brielle ever feel like she is enough? Will Colby tell her she will always be enough?
You gotta read this to find out. The story of Brielle and Colby is pure love. I love Brielle! She stands on her own 2 feet and no one will mess with her. She tells you just how she feels and dont care what anyone thinks. She is so strong willed but yet broken from her past as a child. Colby is so tender and gentle with her and very patient. But will that be enough for Brielle to maintain a relationship with him?

I had butterflies in my stomach and my heart was going to jump out of my chest at any minute.I wanted more at the end.... but I hope book 2 will make up for it .

Not Enough is the first book in the Parker Siblings Series by Leigh Ann Lunsford and brought such emotion into my world. All four siblings, Addy, Brielle, Dustin & Cambree are introduced in the book, but this is truly Brielle’s story.

Brielle arrives home after being gone at college and returns with the same demons she has been fighting since she was a child. Her siblings and she were taken away from their parents by their grandparents because of something in Brielle’s past, only she won’t open up and tell anyone including her sister Addy who desperately wants to know, understand, and be there for her sister. The only one who knows her secret is her best friend Cooper who helped save her that frightening night.

Brielle has spent the better part of her life believing that she simply isn’t enough. Not enough for anyone to ever truly love, be with, respect, or accept. She wasn’t even enough for her parents to choose her.

Colby, comes to town to start a business with his cousin Tyler who is dating Addy. Since he has been in town he has been spending time with the other Parker siblings, so they already know him well. Unlike Brielle, he comes from two loving, kind, and wonderful parents. He sees Brielle from far away and immediately finds himself attracted to her, protective of her, and some might say a teeny bit obsessed from just one look.

When they finally meet he is taken aback by her beauty and presence. As he enters the Parker home, the housekeeper Amelia says “Before you come in you know the rules about nuts? Ms. Brielle is home and she will slice you.” From the other room Brielle says “It is ‘cut you,’ Amelia. I will cut him if he brings peanuts in this house.” (Dustin is deathly allergic to peanuts.) Colby seems to lose all control over his thoughts and speaking abilities trying to recover from his staring, he says “I have been here riding with Dustin and know the rules: I have no nuts.” He then cringes while Brielle doubles over at the waist laughing. That unfortunately doesn’t help Colby get control of himself much better, “From this angle I can see her sexy-ass turquoise bra and hint of cleavage. I think I just swallowed my tongue. I have to get out of here before I mount her like a dog does a fire hydrant and mark my territory. As much as I want to sniff her, mark her, and never leave her side, I have to get away from her to get my shit together.” Brielle is every bit as enamored with Colby, “When Colby reached for me, my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. As soon as I walked to the door tonight and saw him, I had had butterflies in my stomach. I swear my heart stopped beating because I felt nothing but complete obsession and heat-filled lust. He is pure sin. I almost want to become a devil worshiper and he can be my altar.”

They soon begin spending time together, getting to know each other and each of them falling in love, but Brielle is still so closed off because of her past. She doesn’t realize what an amazing person she actually is and Colby can’t believe it. “I will be damned. This beautiful, sassy, loving girl doesn’t think she is worth it.” Colby works tirelessly at breaking down her walls, there is a small glimpse of hope that he is getting through to her, but when she suffers a medical emergency, Colby makes the mistake of not thinking before speaking. He is so angry that he opens his mouth and what spews out is exactly what Brielle was afraid of becoming a reality…she’s not enough. Colby can’t believe that he has done the one thing he never wanted to do, he has destroyed her and broken her. Can they find their way back to each other? Can Brielle ever forgive the betrayal from Colby? Will she realize that she is more than enough and worth it? Maybe it is best she just leaves home and never returns. Maybe Colby should just move on with another woman and they should chalk this up to one giant mistake.

Leigh Ann Lunsford, tells a story that many people will be able to relate to. When a person suffers a despicable act against them, they often wonder whether they are damaged goods, whether anyone will ever be able to love them, whether they even deserve to be loved. Leigh Ann takes the time to show that a person must first heal themselves and love themselves before they can even think of letting someone love them. This story made me laugh, literally spit out my drink on my husband, and made me cry as I became so engrossed in Brielle, I felt her pain and struggle. The connection of the siblings, Brielle & Cody, and each character was as if I was standing in the doorway watching it all play out. Now on to book number 2 which I doubt will disappoint!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

You know sometimes you read a book and wonder when does the title start to make sense, when do you get to that moment when you say “ ah ha”!. 'Not Enough' does not give you any doubts or leave you asking questions. The title of the book says it all in it's wonderful glory. From the Prologue to the Epilogue the story was well put together and the characters drew me in. It was so easy to love all the characters; Dustin, Cambree, Addison, Tyler all added to my many laughs and the overall enjoyment of the book.

The story mostly revolved around Brielle Parker and Colby James.
Brielle was a funny, strong headed, talented in cheering and singing along with kicking ass and taking notes later kind of girl. A fire cracker was an understatement for this girl.
Brielle:
"How many times have I told you never to call me Brie? I am not a damn piece of moldy cheese"

I loved Brielle from the beginning. Everyone seemed to be in love with her but also feared her. I loved the name and I am seriously thinking of naming my future daughter 'Brielle'. Even though Brielle appears to be strong she is also broken. I will not use the term 'weak' because I believe despite all the she went through she kept pushing through for herself and for her family. She may have constantly question if she was enough for anyone and that was something her alone could have answered.

I loved that even though she had a kick ass attitude that she was also so caring, loving towards her family and a great friend.
We see all the craziness that surrounds her life. A horrible ex-boyfriend, parents who are non-exist because of a traumatic experience she went through as a child and losing her grandparents was a lot to handle. My heart broke for this poor girl. When she thought that everything and everyone around her was either hiding something or behaving out of control in walks Colby, calm and smooth.........

Oh man, Colby James from the first time he was introduced I felt that he was the one. There was a connection the minute he saw Brielle and we saw him instantly become intrigued in getting to know her despite being warned off.
Colby was calm, romantic, successful, caring, and determine to break down Brielle's wall.

“ I will tell you one more time. One day Brielle, I will be yours and you will be mine”<<

I really enjoyed that Colby had his head on his shoulder. He knew he wanted Brielle and he stopped at nothing to get her. I must admit that Colby drove me mad at one point in the book. Leigh Ann did an excellent job in showing that everyone is not perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone deserves forgiveness.

I always enjoy when a story is told in alternating point of views. We got the POV's from Brielle, Colby, Tyler and Addison.
You won't be disappointed when you purchase this book. It is filled with everything that you would need in an excellent story. I cried myself to sleep, so many heart breaks *sigh*. I also laughed until my belly hurt. You know when a story is great when you read the last page and still feel like you could read another book about the main characters.

I am honestly going through a serious Colby withdrawal but I am looking forward to reading 'Not Leaving' after that ending that Leigh Ann gave us in 'Not Enough' OMG!!!!

Wow! This book was so Awesome.
The story is about a girl who is so sassy, smart, stubborn and a smart ass. She is totally devoted to her family. Raised by her social laddering climbing parents till the age of 12 until the "incident". Brielle thought from then on she was never "Not Enough".

Brielle has graduated early from college just to be with her siblings. They are her whole reason of being. She has an older sister Addison and a younger sister Cambree and younger brother Dustin. Her and Addy are very close and both were into cheering and competitions.

Her parents wanted her to become a famous singer since she had such a beautiful voice. This was not what Brielle wanted. Her parents tried to use her to further their life in the social ladder they tried to maintain. After the "incident", grandfather came to get her right away with gun in hand. The other children came a short time later. Brielle and her grandfather were very close to one another and she cherished them both dearly.

After their grandparents died, Addy had built her house on the many acres that were left to them along with several other business's. She and Brielle, Cambree and Dustin all live together and they both handle the other business's. So they have no need for money since their grandparents left it to all of them. Brielle comes back home after school and procedes to help raise the other 2. She is especially worried about her younger brother Dustin and his allergy that is so very life threatening to him. She is the one who takes him the doctors and monitors his allergy closely. Brielle has had one true boyfriend and that didnt work out well for her. She focused on her family and decided to fore go the boys and remained a virgin. Till....Colby!

Addy has her boyfriend of 6 years, Tyler, and he has his cousin Colby come to town to help him in his parts business expansion. Colby is from North Carolina and is a physical therapist. He is one hot man that Brielle cant take her eyes off of him. He is eyecandy as hell to her and AMBITIOUS! And...hes going to start working at the gym Addy and Brielle own! (Brielle doesnt know this as of yet). Brielle stays active in the cheering after she comes home because of Cambree's interest in it and it gives her the feeling of control of her own life.

Even after Tylers warnings of her being a firecracker. But Colby doesnt listen to Tylers warnings and procedes with this feeling he has for Brielle and the feeling is mutual.

I give this 5 stars because I love the hell fire Brielle is and the story is so loving and romantic and Brielles commitment to her siblings. Im really hoping there is a story of Addy next! This would be perfect. And would I recommend this book... Hell Yes I would!

Leigh Ann Lunsford where have you been? After a good friend recommend this series to me, I got to one-clicking but then put off reading it. I am absolutely beside myself that I waited so long to dive into this series.

This book follows the story of Brielle as she is finishing college and moving back home to be close to her family. She has an older sister, a younger sister and a brother. After some tragic events in her past, she moved in with her grandparents, who have since passed. Shortly after she was moved so were her siblings. Brielle is sassy and bold loves to cheer and communicates through music. She takes no prisoners and will defend those she loves to the death.

On her first night back she meets Colby. He is her older sister, Addy's boyfriend's cousin. They are both instantly drawn to the other in a way that they can't explain. When a blast from her past shows up at the bonfire, it hits the fan. Enter Colby to the rescue. As time moves forward and their connection deepens, they decide to give this relationship a try. Even though Brielle is wary that she will eventually hurt Colby by not being enough for him. He promises her that she is more than enough and for a while it is smooth sailing. When Brielle and Addy have a girls weekend away, chaos reigns supreme. An old enemy shows her face and stirs up trouble for the happy couple.

It takes a while but things sort themselves out for the couple. Colby's calm is the perfect counterbalance to Brielle's fieryness. When Brielle finally finds the courage to tell Colby about the tragedy that is her past and is met with nothing but compassion their fate is pretty much sealed. Everything is looking up until an unexpected health crisis arises. Colby lashes out and Brielle shuts down and him out. My heart was breaking for both of them during these scenes. They were both so caught up in their own heads that they couldn't see the other persons pain. Brielle takes off to try to find herself. While she is away she realizes that is isn't whole without Colby and goes back to get her man!

Leigh Ann gave so much depth and emotion to these characters that I couldn't help but fall in love with them. The interactions between all of the siblings are realistic and very relateable. I know that I've had similar interactions with my brothers. This is a book about hope and love and finding your inner strength to get you through the hard times. I absolutely can not wait to dive into the next book in this story, Addy and Tyler!

okay its That time again

me.. writing a review.. its horrible AND I suck at it.. but LOVE doing it!!

Lets do this..

I read it in one-go!! thats IT !! you know how hard its to find a book that has you from chapter 1?? I laugh so much in this book it wasn't Healthy!! Its very well paced.. we start in 2013 and goooooooo to 2017!!Yes Im in the future !! LOL .. the Main characters Brielle and Colby dont have that typical lovey-dovey relationship..THank Gosh for that.. Its multiple POV.. and i love that!!

We have.. situations.. graduating 1year earlier.. cousins..brothers and sisters..crazy parents..Awesome friends that are not afraid of saying SHUT THE HELL UP..Music..nicknames.. a fun side of books-meaning? The Lord- Yes the one by Jodi Ellen Malpas is mentioned a few times and its crazyland..reminder fucks!!bahahahaha!.. A HOT COP*thats a secret cant share more* junk punch..LOL..Falls.. a few VERY sad moments.. And we have babies it went a bit crazy land in that department-hehehe-

the book has his own PLAYLIST and everytime a song was mentioned i ran to my Tab and started listening too to get in the zone.. and OMG so many great songs.. B. sings and express her feelings with music and our hero learns that Pretty easily and rocks on music/link sending to get the girl..
Brielle has a mouth!!NOOO.. The WHOLE Parker family makes a group of sailors cringe isn't that Super??

So we meet the P.family.. (Brielle, Addison, Cambree and Dustin) the James family..(Tyler and Colby - they are the craziest-most annoying-weird..hilarious cousins in the whole world)and a few dudes and dudettes!!

Brielle suffers with a *situation* that left her a little guilty.. because that situation (in)directly made her move to her grandparents house and her siblings came with her..

COLBY JAMES-- sigh!! I want him.. isnt that good enough?? ugh .. Colby knows what he wants even though he doesnt.. he tries to deny his feelings like for 3h!! thn its wham-bam-LOVEEE!! he has no NUTS!!thats the best line ever!! he screws up!!like BADDDD .. but even in those parts i was cheering for him.. I so love that he gets mad like red-eyed mad over Belle.. and his jealousy is super cute..

so going with the LOVE of music my song to describe this BOOK is Happy by Pharell Williams because thats exactly what I felt will reading this book..

Oh waiiiiit a sec!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN Tyler its the father?? oh thats for the NEXT book??Yummy !! *wink wink*

I love this story, it's simple and very real story about love and family.

This starts out with Brielle coming home after graduating college, without telling anyone in her family. She comes home surprising everyone in the household. She is very family oriented girl, everything is all about her family. She is also a real fire cracker, very strong, intimidating, up beat girl from the outside, with issues about not being enough inside. Coming home after taking her brother to his Dr's appt she passes by Tyler (who is her sister's boyfriend of 6yrs) and see's a new face. That new face is none other than Tyler's cousin Colby, who is recently move into town. A very tall, gorgeous guy, that not only looked her way, but felt exactly as she felt when they saw each other for the first time. Since Brielle and Colby first sight of each other, neither could keep their mind off each other. Each started thinking about what they could have in the future, each were surprised where their mind wondered off to a future together, after the first kiss. The way this two were pulled into each other was just beautiful, Colby felt very protective of Brielle right away. He wanted to make sure he did everything he could to win her over. Even though this two main characters are very lovable, they weren't the only one. I wanted to know what was also happening to Brielle's sister Addy and her boyfriend Tyler. I was also rooting for them two, so I can't wait to read the 2nd book to find out what becomes of this two lovable duos.

All in all I give this book 5 stars. This story made me laugh, giggle, awed, broke my heart..almost cried(if my husband wasn't around when I was reading I was for sure going to bawl my eyes out) and then put my heart back to pieces with the love Brielle and Colby had for each other. This book is HEA, which I love.

Thanks Leigh, you are a sweetheart, thank you for sharing this book with me. I love it. I can't wait to read your future book. For now I will start with reading the 2nd Parker Siblings. =)

Received this book as an ARC for an honest review********************

There are three things that to me make a great book, characters, story line and a happy ending! Well I was not disappointed with reading this book.

Not everyone has a perfect childhood or perfect parents, and although Brielle loved her siblings and grandparents her parents were another story. Never being able to measure up in their eyes she was turned on by her parents in the worst way. People who were supposed to love you and believe in you no matter what. They were not those parents for Brielle. She learned early on at the age of 12 that to them she wasn't special or good enough, so with the love and support of her grandparents Brielle was able to grow up and graduate college and return home to her siblings she loved unconditionally.

This was where she met the to be one person that did think she was enough Colby. He is in love from the first moment he laid eyes on her. After a lot of convincing and reassurances Brielle let's Colby in, finally decides she can love someone and have them love her back like she deserves. This of course does not go off without a hitch and Colby does some really shitty stuff and breaks Brielle's fragile heart even more. (He is a man after all so they do stupid shit)

Knowing that staying in town and being broken over Colby isn't helping Brielle heal nor letting her be there for her siblings like she wants to so she takes off for a few months to do some soul searching and working on her demons. Finally finally FINALLY she comes home and is ready to give her everything to not only her family but the love of her life Colby as well...

The dynamic of this book and the crazy ass family that Brielle has is awesome! I love them all and can't wait for the rest of their stories because I know it can only get better!

How would you feel if you thought you were never enough? Never enough for anyone, including your very own parents. That would take a toll on anyone. Luckily for Brielle, she has her grandparents and they step in and take care of her, her 2 sisters and brother. Brielle doesn't even feel like she's enough for her siblings. All she wants is to be enough. She is when she is cheering.

Brielle graduated college early so that she could be where she wants, at home with her brother and sister. Little did she know, that her first day living back home, she would meet Colby.

Colby is newer to town, his cousin Tyler is Addy's (Brielle's older sister)boyfriend. Colby defends her on that first night they met, and they both feel the instant connection. He knows that she wears a mask to hide her feelings behind. He tells her he knows.

"If you believe in anything, believe in my love for you. Always."

When the issues raised up between Colby and Brielle, you better grab some tissues. Brielle needs to figure things out and "fix" herself. Will she be able to? Will she finally see that she is more than enough?

"Shit happens every day in life. What matters is how you handle that bullshit. There is nothing you can't get through or get over as long as you want to."

I could not put this book down at all. I had to finish it before I was able to sleep. Have some tissues with you, because you will cry. I found it really easy to connect with the characters. I loved all of them. I had to start Not Leaving (book 2) as soon as I finished Not Enough.

Brielle and Colby, instant attraction. What I loved most about this story was the author’s ability to connect these two characters physically upon first sight but throughout the book, she BUILT their relationship and it wasn’t one based solely on the physical. The characters grow both as individuals and as a couple and the experiences they share are real life. The author keeps the language simple but evokes emotion and richness in her plot that grips you through the end, leaving the reader wanting more.

I hesitate to say anything negative about this book because I truly enjoyed it (I read it in one sitting and stayed up half the night to do so.) The only critique I would give is that in the first chapter or two the reader is introduced to a whirlwind of characters (Brielle, the entire Parker clan, Tyler, Amelia, and Colby) – all of their physical characteristics along with personality traits were divulged in a very small section of writing. It took me a while to remember who each character was and figure out finally who the heroine/hero would be. The descriptions were well done, I had solid visual images of each of them but I wish they had been spaced out a little more.

Overall the book was fantastic and I can’t wait to read the next in the series. If you are looking for a light hearted, happy ever after, that just makes you love the people you meet – this is a the one to read!

Thanks Leigh Ann for gifting me this amazing series.

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

“Brielle, I am in no way, shape, or form a boy. If you need me to demonstrate that at any given time, I am up for it.”

“I want to take you home and worship you tonight, tomorrow, and every day until my life is over.”

“He is a few colors short of a rainbow, if you get what I am saying. He has no filter. I am not sure he even understands half of what comes out of his mouth, so I don’t know how in the hell anyone around him is expected to.”

“I want to bend him in ways Gumby would be jealous of. I wonder if there is a pill or a shot for these feelings.”

My Review:

This is my first exposure to Leigh Ann Lunsford, and luckily, for once, I have started at the beginning. I adored her characters and their frenetic energy, sassy mouths, and scrappy personalities. What fun. Her writing style and dialog are casual, breezy, and wicked funny. I was instantly sucked in and had difficulty disentangling myself from the story when I had to put my precious kindle down. I plan to read her entire catalog as I want to see what she has planned for the rest of the Parker clan.

Brielle Parker is used to carrying a quiet load when it comes to herself, she is always there for her family but she has never felt that she is worthy of happiness. Brielle blames herself for something that happened years ago and tore her family apart.

Colby James knows that Brielle is going to be an important part of his future. Brielle has walls that he plans to break through, but Brielle can be her own self destructive enemy. As secrets unfold and trust is questioned, will Colby and Brielle be able to weather the storm that is brewing around them.

The first book in the Parker sibling series. Very good story, was a bit angsty but you just didn't have Brielle's story, the siblings are actively part of the book. It took a few moments to soften to Brielle, she is a tough cookie but her history explains the way she is. Colby is a fantastic hero for this heroine. Look forward to more in the series.

I heard about this book from friends and was not disappointed, it was everything and more they said it would be. Brielle's love for her family is amazing to read about and how she and Colby told their tale of falling in love was just WOW!!! I love that the story is told in different POV's, you get to hear how each feels about what's going on. The author writes in such a way that the reader feels the emotions that they're reading. You also learn about the other characters in the story and I can't wait to learn more about them. I started this book and ended it in one day and it was well worth it, can't wait to start book 2.

I love a good sibling series and this is book one in a four part series. Not Enough follows Brielle Parker, who based on past experiences has a hard time feeling like she is "enough" for anyone. Even with her strong, sassy personality, she feels less then. When she meets Colby James she wants to believe that he can be her everything, but past insecurities still come up.

This book had just the right of humor, love, sexiness, family bonds, and drama to hold my interest. I look forward to moving on to Addy and Taylor's book- because it seems like there is a lot of story to be told!

This is a story mainly about Brielle and Colby. Though, we get to meet the rest of the family too. Brielle's mouth reminded me of myself. Her character I found to be realistic and I loved that. She was strong, fierce, a wise-ass, but incredibly insecure and she never thought she was good enough. I found that to be refreshing. Most people project what they want others to see. When internally they are completely the opposite. I think we all suffer a bit of this. If you love to laugh, love, swoon and possibly lose it at times(as I do). You will love love love this book as I did. Kudos Leigh Ann!

Brielle and Colby's story is awesome! I love Brielle's feisty personality! I love how Colby knows right away when he first meets her that she is going to be his. They have to fight and struggle through some tough times, which end up making them both better and stronger! Colby makes a huge mistake and Brielle has to find herself before she can even think of forgiveness. Read and find out if they get their HEA! This book is a great read!

I really enjoyed reading this book as well as Not Leaving..the intricate story of each individuals and they're struggles with life as individuals as well as couples and families. The decisions they made and the outcomes of those decisions that led to the cliffhanger at the end, I honestly can't wait to read the next book.
