This was published in 1983, and it has a lot of restaurant and snack food recommendations. Of course many of them are out of date, and as they involve smaller businesses I assume some of the restaurants are no longer in business. The idea of the book is fun though, and it does still have some fun ideas (I particularly liked the history and the how food got its name sections). I am going to alter this book, add in some notes on current places for pigging out, note if the recs are still good, and remind the reader that Yelp can be your best friend when you are looking to pig out. Also, I am going to see if I can find some color pictures of pictures in the book - the B&W ones just aren't good enough (especially for the quiz on the cross section of candy -- all of which I think still exists - my one question is on the Zero candy bar -- but I will see).
