Bare Notes Within

Rate this book
Brave erotic tale of one man's obsessiveness to hide pain through the art of love making. Every encounter is only met with the absence of a long needed fulfillment. That is, until he meets his hero. His potential true love in one girl.

What would you do if you encounter such a passion filled human, like the main character in this romantic story? Would you only enjoy the pleasures and desires he has to offer? Or, would you look even farther, past your own lust, to the treasure he holds within?

I had to think about how i wanted to review this book for a few days before actually making one. I have voiced my concerns with the many typos in the book, and even spoke to the author personally about them. I understand the hard work that goes into writing a book, and can only imagine how difficult it was to self publish. My hat goes off to Mr. Gonzalez, if for nothing else but the simple fact that he has a published story.

I wanted to like the characters in this story, but they seemed very shallow. The main person we are supposed to feel for is the apparently addicted to sex male lead isaac. I won't ruin the storyline at all, but found him very difficult to understand. There were many times where i wasn't sure if this was intentional, to keep us not completely clear of his ideas or intentions, but just found his thought process to be all over the place. His relationships with other people were very weird, and his thoughts of the fairer sex as easily played games were frankly very demeaning.

Despite all of this, k didn't want to put this down, as I was trying to figure out exactly what would happen. This is the reason I kept going, to see just how convoluted he could make his life become before the bottom dropped out. I was impressed with the length of the story, as it did flow at a fair pace.

I had my issues wih the ending, but that is neither here nor there. I did rate this as a three star book, and I stand behind that.
