This study still continuing in our Sunday School class has been enlightening. In the letter studied the apostle Paul instructs the young pastor of the Ephesian church and charges him to “fight the good fight” in coming against false teachers and leading his congregation in righteousness and godliness. I believe Paul’s charge to Timothy is summed up in verse 6:20:
20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—
