It only takes a moment to feel that spark of attraction…
Carina Lobos is a freshman in college. Jaxon Wright is a junior, captain of the rowing team, and can have any girl he wants. From the moment he lays eyes on her, Jaxon can’t deny the attraction between them.
Attraction is the prequel novella to the new Irresistible series.
This is the story of how Carina met her roommate and best friend Desirae and her on again, off again lover, Jaxon Wright.
HOLY HADES SWEET BABY JESUS WTF DID I JUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where is the billion stars for this book because that is what this book is. I mean it has everything in it from love, to lust, to friends with benefits, to loving an older man, and scandal just straight up scandal!
Carina and Jaxon meet at college and the chemistry is there right away. Carina is the freshmen who is at college for the first time and she is not sure about things yet but she knows that there is chemistry there between her and Jaxon. So she decides they will be friends with benefits because Jaxon has a reputation of being a man whore so she decides that a non commitment relationship is good for them. But then something happens to them and it is out of control that she breaks things off with Jaxon.
Then she goes to the club and she meets the club owner who is a man not a boy but a real man and she decides to start messing with him. When Jaxon finds out he is not happy nor is he ready to let Carina go so he fights for her. Now Carina has to decide who she will be with a boy or a real man.
This is a must read and I can't wait to read book two which I need like ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m royally pissed at myself that I had no time to finish this book earlier. I could of rushed it in one night but I love enjoying the twists. That certainly had me day dreaming the whole time. Jaxon no doubt became the typical college dude who knows what he has. Still thinks that he can do what he wants. I hope I’m not giving away too much. Can’t help but love/ hate him. Carina is a woman with attitude, has more balls than the typical college girl, goes through. I loved her instantly! Can’t wait for the next book. Ady Anes has me on my toes!! I need more!
Wow that was a lot for only 38pages! Carina is a freshman who catches Jaxon's eye. Little does she know he's a man-whore but when she finds out she leaves only to have to stumble upon it later. ugh. cant wait to read series.
I am very much looking forward to this series! This short novella and preview of the first chapter to Irresistible has me totally reeled in! Can't wait to read this series!
English, biology and DRAMA!!!! I don’t mean the kind that is taught in the college classroom. Attraction by Ady Anes is the first book in the new Scandalous series and it is at the top of all scandals. With sexually charged chemistry (wait, I thought we signed up for biology?) that cannot be denied the couples in this story are hot enough to put a Bunsen burner to shame. With the pages overflowing with angst Attraction is an A+ read or 5-stars. Looking forward to the next in the series Irresistible due out soon.
Carina Lobos is a freshman at college and has just met the most perfect guy. Jaxon Wright is a junior and captain of the rowing team, he’s gorgeous and built but, he’s been with half the girls on campus. Carina breaks off the new friends with benefits relationship before it goes to far but, Jaxon doesn’t want to give up. When Carina meets Valentino DeLuca at his club on Halloween, she realizes she’s met a man and not a boy. Jaxon still won’t give up his pursuit for Carina’s affections but now she must decide where she feels the greatest pull of Attraction, Jaxon or Valentino.
I may be a bit confused here but I came into this book thinking it was a MFM story. It’s not. In fact there’s a lot of things this book isn’t. To be honest, it isn’t particularly fantastic. There was no depth to the characters. I have no idea who Carina and Jason are. This book is crying out for dual POV, the chapter at the end, while it does shed much needed light, isn’t nearly enough. There’s also a massive disconnect between who the characters are. Are they promiscuous? Are they nice? At times they’re both but it doesn’t make sense. I felt like there was little to no chemistry between Jason and Carina, in fact, I felt there was more chemistry between Carina and Diego. Valentino felt like an afterthought. I also felt like Carina fell into bed way too early. I want chemistry, I want a build up. I got none of that. The constant mention of womb clenching also grated and the lack of punctuation after dialogue severely hindered my reading experience. This isn’t a great book and to be honest, I’d give it a miss, sorry!
This is the first book in a new series. Carina is a college freshman, and Jaxon is the captain of the rowing team, who is used to getting any girl he wants, and neither of them can ignore the attraction between them. Bring into the mix the sexy Valentine, who is the owner of Club 69, and things become complicated. This is a good story, which has me intrigued throughout, and I look forward to reading the second book.
First let me say that this book is freaking HAWT!!
A few of the relationships and a part of the story line were a bit confusing, but the heat between the characters kept bringing my attention back.
In certain aspects of the book, Carina acted as if she was way older than 18 and then others she was so freaking immature. Which it makes sense, she is 18, but it seemed in each situation she went in, I was never sure which version of her I would get to read.
But like I said, if you are looking for a steamy read with LOTS of angst--- this is your book!
I give it a 3.5 outta 5.
PS I received this book for free, but am voluntarily reading it.
Attraction written by Senayda Pierre, began with the bond between a brother and sister in a comedic fashion regarding life not always going the way we choose. It implored a rag to riches mentality when well to do Carina meets her trust fund college roommate Desirae at her undesired college of acceptance.
The investment the reader makes in the well thought out Characters is not in vain. The author conveys the developing relationships of the new friends, and the newness of recently engaged sexually active buddies. However, as with all immature choices that do not have the advantage of experience, the heated relationship is destined for confusion. Although filled with sexuality, Senayda manages to aptly convey college life and rites of passage for emerging young adults.
Would I recommend this book: Yes. This is a great young adult book that addresses college lifestyles and experiences. This is the prequel to the author's new series, Irresistible.
Would I recommend this author: Yes. Ms. Pierre understands her subject and conveys it with the written word. Look forward to reading the follow up books.
***Received an ARC of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review***
Okay this book had a great plot but I felt it was too rushed which rushed the character development. This in turn made it so I wasn't a huge fan of the characters lol. I'm hoping that when I continue the series it slows down a bit and the characters progress at a slower pace. Still a good book and I will be continuing the series down the road.
Lusty prequel, and just an overall head start to irresistible. Not really a requirement but if your going to go all in, you might as well do it in a big way! It opened the book and the characters. Three stars!
The introduction to Carina & Jaxon. They're hot and passionate nights to Jaxon just being a MF literally in front of her eyes. I am hooked. I wonder if Dieog and Desirae will heat up the pages as well.
