Abducted by aliens in the middle of the night, then dumped on a foreign planet in nothing but my flimsy nightclothes.
Any number of predators could have eaten me.
Well, as it turns out, I was—eaten, I mean—by a hulking alien who really knew what he was doing when it came to pleasing human women.
Is he my protector or my captor? And what happened to the other women I was abducted with?
Something must be seriously wrong with me because I want to ask for his help to find the other women, but even with our language barrier, I find my thoughts drifting. And the way he touches me tells me his thoughts are anything but pure.
I must be crazy. There are dangers on this planet he’s only hinted at, a reason I’m here I don’t know, and yet when I’m with my alien savior, all I can think is when he touches me, I really, really, like it.
Stefanie Dawn summons deliciously devious demons you can’t help fall in love with, and journeys to out of this world planets where alluring aliens will convince you to stay and live happily ever after.
Her characters (and the monster peen you'll discover along the way) will have you questioning your morality and screaming your safe word.
When this chaos-gremlin isn’t creating fantasy romance stories with a helping of extra spice, Stefanie loses herself in reading and watching movies, and would like everyone to appreciate the level of willpower it takes her to not spout obscure movie references few are likely to understand.
On a casual Sunday you'll find her crocheting phallic shaped toys, and summoning demons in the kitchen while sipping a cocktail.
You can stay up to date with Stefanie and her books at her demon banging specialist and tentacle enthusiast website www.angelsandfirebooks.com.au
⚠️Warnings⚠️ 1.) There are aliens. The government exposed them, and S. Dawn made them scrumptious. 2.) There are abductions. Some probing, but not as dark as we are used to seeing. 3.) Yes, there are definitely spicy scenes, so no whining, Karen. 4.) You'll get swept up in the story...no joke. 5.) Alternating 1st person POV 6.) Kind of a cliffhanger, but that's cause it's Book 1 of a new series.
Ok, so when I tell you I forgot this was a freaking ARC and got SUPER upset that kindle didn't suggest Book 2...seriously ruined my whole afternoon. 🤬
But it lays great groundwork for a wonderful alien series! I love the fact that the Synths adapt to their surroundings, so you know each book is going to be different enough to keep you hooked through the entire series!.
Well there goes my Sunday! Damn. I don't know why I didn't pick this up sooner but I know I'll be binge reading the rest of the series very soon.
This alien abduction romance starts off with Erica being abducted from her home and taken aboard a ship to be experimented on. She forms a bond with other abductees through soundproof glass using charades and blowing on the glass to spell out words to communicate. Soon, they are all dropped on an alien planet and in different places.
Erica soon finds herself rescued by a gargoyle like alien who can't communicate with her until he bonds with her mind and then the communication barrier is over. Not to mention he's got some crazy pheromone thingy going on and they're both animals for each other.
When readers think about their introduction to alien romance, some would answer Ice Planet Barbarians. Mine is this book. While being new to the sub-genre, which is alien spice, ordinarily I wouldn't pick up, I was swallowed up in another mind-blowing universe Stefanie has created and more. I hold astronomical expectations for the rest of the series now. It's. That. Good.
I brought this from the author at an event in Adelaide. While not usually in my reading wheelhouse, Stef has an easygoing sense of humour that I had to try her work. So glad I did. I completely loved this story. It's excellently paced and the world building has depth and is well considered. Such great concept for a series, and a punchy opener... I'll defs be reading more from Stef!
If you're new to Alien romance, or are all about the alien romance you will enjoy this book. I wasn't hoping for much when I started the book, it was one that popped up on my KU suggestions, and I'm so happy to took a chance and purchased it. It's well written, the characters are enjoyable. I enjoyed the take on the genre, and needed to read the rest immediately after. There's spice and heart. Only beef I have is the end was kind of abrupt, but I'm hoping we explore that with the coming books.
This is a great story. I loved reading about Erika and Ilk's journey to find their HEA. The world building is excellent and I really got drawn into Erika's plight--first when she was abducted, then when she finds herself marooned on an alien planet. And Ilk... who knew a guy who is built so rough could be so gentle and protective? If you are a fan of alien romance, you need to read this book. It's the first in a series, and I can't wait to read the rest.
