This series is really growing on me. It has just enough crazy to keep me happy, and this book brought lots of extra crazy. I like extra. Extra anything really. Extra frosting, extra candy, extra fries in the box, extra guac in my burrito... Hmm, I guess I like food. Does this make me a foodie? I hope not! Pretentious assholes!
as long as they put extra cheese in them!
Anyway, in this book we have Penelope, a girl trying to get money for her sick mother's treatment, and Kinich, the sun god. Unfortunately for Kinich, his sister is Cimil who is batshit crazy. I like batshit crazy people, therefore Cimil is my favorite character in these books. But, she can be a little tiny bit annoying to those around her. And, in this case, she roofies Kinich and Penelope in order to get Penelope pregnant with a little sun godett. Oh, Cimil! You and your crazy antics!
Maybe just a tad too far.. but I'll allow it.
So, we get to watch Penelope and Kinich go through their angsty romance. But, don't worry because there is waaaay more going on then just those two. Luckily. We get to meet all of the gods as they have meetings, and they are gloriously crazy and messed up. We also get all of the characters from the past books. Two words: vampire baby. Oh, two more words: Demigod manny (in hot leather pants. roawrr!) Plus, there is Cimil!! Have I mentioned her yet?
Here's Cimil party planning over the phone:
"I'm thinking we go with the chicken fingers... No, silly. Real ones. I just love crunchy food." Pause. "How the hell should I know what to do with the chickens? Make them some special shoes." Pause. "Yup. Yup. Clothing is optional. Except for the clowns..."
I really want to go to one of her parties.
Cimil with road rage:
"Shut your pieholes and go the fuck home!" Pause. "What? Did you give me the finger? I'll rip it from your pasty little hand and stick it where the sun don't shine!"...
"Fucking Cub Scouts," she huffed. "Give them some mistletoe and a few Christmas carols and they think they own the whole fucking holiday!"
Well, it sounds like those kids deserved it....
And, this is just the tip of the Cimil-crazy iceberg!

And, as awesome as Cimil is, there is also a rumor that she may or may not have a unicorn. A talking unicorn. *crosses fingers*

This is another fun installment into the Accidentally Yours series.
We start of with Cimil causing more chaos by roping Penelope into being a surrogate mum for her brother, the sun god, Kinich. Penelope is very adamant that her womb is not for sale, however all sorts of interesting hilariously confrontations occur, that may have swayed her mind, including meeting the delicious Sun God himself.
That is not good enough for Cimil however, and she has many back up plans in place, her devious nature knows no bounds.
However something goes wrong and Cimil's visions of the future disappear which could mean the end of the world.
I would just like to start by saying I love the light hearted, humorous way these stories are written and this one is no different. The conversations are fast paced and the verbal banter and inner monologues are highly entertaining, I was turning the pages just to say what somebody would say next.
Characters from previous books were back to entertain us and add new dimensions to what was going on and I loved to see how they were going.
The introduction of new mythological characters was great, angels and angry naked leprechauns, hahaha( no they weren't in the story but they exist in this world), it definitely kept me intrigued as to what other things they could add into this world.
Poor Penelope our new main heroine of this book, I felt sorry for everything she had to take in, but man did she take it in her stride, I really liked her as a character. Therefore I was a little disappointed in the ending. I got there and I was thinking okay, things are about to get good and there will be my happily ever after, ahem I mean Penelope and Kinich's happily ever after.... and there it was.. To be Continued. Noooooo! We better get more of their story in the future!!!
Even though we are left with a cliffhanger of sorts, it also gave us the beginning of a few other stories that I am looking forward to reading. Cimil and her Roberto, hahahah, finally maybe someone to tame that crazy goddess? Viktor and Penelope's mum? Tommaso, so many stories to be told and hopefully all in this same witty format. I am really looking forward to seeing what will come next.

Penelope’s life is not working out as she had hoped. It has always been just her and her mother, but her mother has been sick with an undiagnosed illness. Penelope has taken her to Dr. after Dr. but nothing helps. She is working as many hours as she can as a waitress to try to pay for her mother’s care and spends all the rest of her time caring for her.
Crazy Cimil is at it again. She approaches Penelope and somehow knows all about the hardships she is suffering and makes her a proposition. She will pay her one million dollars if she will agree to become pregnant with her brother, Kinich. And of course, the miracle treatment she needs for her mom is not covered by insurance so this is the only way she can come up with to try to help her. The one thing she didn’t know, though, is that Kinich or Nick as his friends call him, is the Sun God and he has thirteen siblings that are Gods or Goddesses. Cimil is truly whacky. She loves to wear her pink fur coat and loves reruns of 70’s and 80’s sitcoms such as Love Boat. But…at the end of the book, we see what we might call a method to her madness. A reason behind some of her actions.
Penelope is thrown into this world full of immortals and beings she never would have dreamed existed. But, I want to say that the female characters is one of the things I love most about this series. We see in each book these characters accepting things far beyond their most wildest imaginations and not only accepting it but excelling and gaining strength in their new lives. And, I love how Mimi gave these women snarky, sarcastic personalities. You can’t help but laugh out loud with what goes on in their heads.
“Sure. Just what I need. A bubble bath. Then, maybe after, I’ll write some colorful poetry about a fluffy cloud and go frolicking gayly in the meadow with the baby animals.”
We also now see where the series is going. At first I thought each book was a separate story. And, while each book does concentrate on a different character, they are all coming together now. And their objective is to save the world from the apocalypse that Cimil is predicting. There are many evil beings that our Gods and their armies must overcome and at the close of this book, things are not looking very good. So I can’t wait to see what our author has in store for us in the next book. I said it before but it is worth repeating that this series is fantastic and if you are looking for a series that is fun, sexy, sarcastic, sweet and suspenseful, this is the one for you.

Oh thank God that's over!
I was gonna be generous and give it three stars cause it was funny in a "at times cringey" sorta way but you won't believe the times I had to stop myself from dnfing the crap outta this.
As per Mimi's words, I'm being mean so I suck but guess what?

WHAT?!
They barely talked, barely met, other than those never ending sexual fantasies nothing happened! This was insta. Like total insta and really bad at that.
With the amount of eye-rolling I did, I'm surprised my eyes are even functioning right and let's not even talk about the gag-fest Emma and Guy's "love" brought.
I'm not doing this. This was so unreasonable.
I can't read any more of this series.

Bat shit crazy Gods, vampires, half vampire, payal, angel, demilord, stinky ass villains, angry naked leprechauns and talking unicorns (though we haven't seen the proof of the last two). This one is the best book yet, I still have to read the rest of the series. And the best couple.
Penelope is living in hard times. Her mother is sick and she can't afford her treatment.Nix oops Cimil offers her a million dollars to have her brother's baby. Cimil's brother is the smoking hot Sun god, Kinich. The problem? Kinich believes that Gods and humans should not mingle and procreate together. He thinks payals are an abomination. Kinda makes it hard to get pregnant by such a deity. But aunt Cimil has a plan and it involves roofied champagne and midgets. Gods, I love Cimil! The Goddess of the Underworld is going super crazy. Her hairbrained schemes are causing the end of the world. If Cimil can just take time from her activities, garage sales and Love Boat reruns, they might be able to stop the apocalypse and save mankind.
The introduction of new Gods was great. They are the most ludicrous bunch of misfits. Can't wait to read their books. I loved Mimi's writing in this one. Lots of sarcastic and witty dialogues and entertaining soliloquies. It ended on a cliff hanger. I hope Penelope and Kinich gets their HEA in the next one.

Penelope is approached by the strangest craziest woman known...Cimil. Cimil offers Penelope a proposition, she will give her a million dollars in exchange for having her brothers baby. At first Penelope feels outraged, but with working to pay off her mothers medical bills, and trying to save up to go to college, she doesn't know what it would hurt to meet the man she is supposed to have a baby with. When she first meets Kinich, her senses go into overload, and she knows the heat alone that flares between them from across a crowded room, she knows they would no problem making a baby right? Kinish is a powerful god, the sun god. He has lived for thousands of years, but he believes in never socializing with humans, as it leads to consequences he would rather avoid. But then he realizes that this sensual beautiful woman is everything he could ever dream of. She starts to teach him of the beauty of living. But a war is coming, and his enemies threaten to destroy everything good and pure, including the one woman who has stolen his heart.
For a year or so I have been watching this series pop up, and I have been curious on reading these books. So when I was able to obtain a copy of this ARC, I couldn't wait to pick it up. Even though the e book was published in 2012, the mass market paperback was released a couple of days ago. So another E book format was released as well. I have heard pros and cons to these books, but I think after reading the first chapter I was hooked, completely. I was so drawn into this story, I couldn't put it down, and I read it all this morning. WOWZERS!!! That is all I wish to say because I don't believe my review will do this book justice. I was so shocked in how much I enjoyed it. I wasn't even expecting anything as close to what this book was packed with. As I was in the process of reading it, I could barely contain my excitement of this story, characters and a plot that thickens with each chapter. With each page turn, I found myself mystified and intrigued by the continuous change of events, and how when I thought I had the story figured out, something would change and it would blow my mind away!!
The characters in this book are phenomenal and I loved every one of them. Penelope is endearing and charming and a fighter and I LOVED her. She has spunk and intuinity, and a sense of adventure and her personality is very bold even though it doesn't seem like it at the beginning. You see a transformation of her character in a subtle but progressive way. Now Kinich I think I had a harder time liking. He is everything you would like in a alpha male stereotype, but he took some getting used to. His character is a bit more harsh and unapproachable at times. But as I progressed further into the story, he started to become more endearing to me. We see other side characters, and couples from the previous books (so I am aching to read their stories too.). The intimate scenes between Kinich and Penelope were blazing at times. They so have a fire buildup of chemistry, but there wasn't quite as much focus on the romantic relationship. There was some, and you see more of it through the later half. There is also much more going on in this story than just a simple romance, there is a few complex issues that come up and it built up the plot that only engaged the reader even more.
Overall a sexy paranormal romance with steamy scenes, a thrilling plot, plenty of action, mystery and romance. BREATHTAKING!!!

What would you do if a very strange woman offered you one million dollars to have her brother’s baby? A New York waitress, Penelope has the weight of the world on her shoulders, her mother is dying of an unknown disease, she needs money badly, but is she willing to rent out her womb, supply her eggs to create some stranger’s bun in her “oven?” One look at the crazy woman’s brother has her eggs screaming, “Pick Me! Pick Me!” The man is beyond hot, beyond smoking hot, and oh yeah, he is the Sun God, Kinich. Too bad he is opposed to the idea of gods procreating with mere humans, not that he doesn’t want to “go through the motions” with feisty Penelope. The problem is, the “morning after,” they aren’t sure if they had the wild and crazy sex they both fantasized about or not. With evil rearing its ugly head, and danger lurking around every corner, Kinich and Penelope become bonded to save Kinich’s soul, but can two beings really inhabit the same body or has this become a case of “Three’s Company” inside our heroine? Penelope is so unprepared for what happens next, but the unsuspecting world is depending on this little waitress and the council of the gods, which is scary in itself!

A frantic pace, the end of the world is eminent and Ms. Pamfiloff has me in stitches with laughter! Her creative one-liners, internal dialogue and character banter is priceless! Do you like sarcasm, wit, charming characters, foreboding circumstances and truly magnetic tension? It’s all here, paranormal romance and action at its entertaining best!
If you are following this series, (and if you aren't, why not?),you are going to love this addition, as it throws some light on where we are headed and what the gods will be up against. I can only say, charge your e-readers, stock up on chocolate, the future could get nasty and the gods will have their hands full protecting our human, um, backsides!

If you are following this series, (and if you aren't, why not?),you are going to love this addition, as it throws some light on where we are headed and what the gods will be up against. I can only say, charge your e-readers, stock up on chocolate, the future could get nasty and the gods will have their hands full protecting our human, um, backsides!

I really enjoyed this book!
One of the major issues readers will have with this series in general is that sometimes Ms. Pamfiloff doesn't know when to stop regarding cutesy internal dialogue or jokey explanations. That said, this book and the books in the series had me laughing. If you can get through this without being overly annoyed with the perpetual Penelope soliloquys (ugh and how do you pluralize soliloquy? I don't even know) in her own head you will enjoy this.
This book is about Penelope and Kinich. Kinich thinks Payals and really any non God race should not procreate with the 14 gods. Apparently Kinich is the Sun God and the leader of the Gods and he has an agenda to ensure that his perspective that Gods procreating is bad mojo is officially instituted among his brethren. Meanwhile- Cimil, in her mostly entertaining ways (she's an almost Nyx knockoff from the Kresely Cole series IMO, but I loved the irreverence of the Valkries in that series and generally enjoy that attitude in characters so I do not care!) gets her hands dirty all over the place to steer events of the world and lives toward an unknowable goal. This includes setting Penelope up with Kinich with a few strange rules and an offer Penelope can scarcely refuse. Penelope is taking care of her incredibly sick mother and is under financial life draining strain to do it all by herself.
This installment of the series has fun twists and turns IMO if abruptly introduced. I loved the interactions of the Gods and the summits. I really enjoyed the introduction of Zac and I think he will figure largely in the next book. Although I will say that Zac's interactions with Penelope is blatantly suspect and makes me wonder if he's truly on the good guy team. I hope he is because he sounds vaguely like a sexy dreamboat of a God and I'll gladly read his romance later in the series if it's going to happen!
This ends on a cliff hanger dammit! I can handle that if the next book is coming out soon. I'll keep telling myself that so I don't fume. I'll be happier if the next book really wraps this Apocolypse up and I loved the ending otherwise.
This will be great for fans of PNR looking for another different series. Also if you like super huge men with super huge fun manly accessories you will enjoy this series. New races are introduced in this one and YAY for that! So far no shifters (thank god, I mean, enough with the blue collar motorcyle driving holey jean hairy alphas thank you!) but several vampires, Gods, Payals (offspring of humans+Gods), a new paranormal that I will not mention bc it's a major spoiler but I LOVED it, and according to Cimil, unicorns, leprechauns, and of course the evil Mayan priests.
I'll be getting the next one as soon as it hits Amazon.

In Mimi Jean Pamfiloff's sequel to her other two outrageously funny books, Cimil, the Goddess of the Underworld, is back, taking a break from her favorite activities -- garages sales and reruns of The Love Boat -- to meddle in the affairs of humans, specifically a terrific new character – Penelope. Wearing a pink mink coat and pink snorkeling gear for a headband, and for reasons only Cimil knows, she is trying to convince Penelope to mate with the God of the Sun.

It's disappointing that there was no real ending, I hate having to wait for the next instalment for HEA closure... and clarity about what on earth is going on. It seemed a little light and lost compared to the other two.
That said there was plenty of laugh out loud moments so my time was not entirely wasted.

Quick & Dirty: Penelope needs money, but is she desperate enough to accept money in return for having a stranger’s baby? Penelope’s about to find out she’s bitten off much more than she can chew with this particular fella in this surprisingly entertaining read.
Opening Sentence: Wondering which screw in her head had come loose this time, twenty-four-year-old Emma Keane strapped a parachute to her back in preparation for another fun-filled jungle mission.
The Review:
Penelope is desperate. Her mother is very sick, and Penelope needs to somehow come up with the money needed to treat her. But when a seemingly crazy woman approaches her about having a baby with the woman’s brother, Penelope isn’t sure that’s something she could do, no matter how much money the woman is offering. Despite her feelings on the subject, Penelope agrees to at least meet with the woman’s brother. When Penelope first meets Kinich, she is instantly attracted to him, and it seems the feeling is mutual. There’s just one small problem. Kinich is completely unaware of his sister’s plan. Oh, and he’s also the Sun God and has sworn to protect humanity at all costs. Penelope’s world is about to get a whole lot bigger. The main question is, will the Sun God hang around to introduce her to this world, or will he hold on to his belief that the gods should not mate with humans?
I’ll be honest. I’ve been moving this book further and further down my to-review stack because the title and cover just turned me off. I really need to take the mantra “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” to heart because this book was so much fun to read. It’s full of humor that had me snorting with laughter constantly. Penelope’s inner voice is hilarious, and I especially loved when she would imagine her eggs saying things in regards to Kinich in their eagerness to procreate with him. I constantly had a smile on my face while reading, and that’s always a good thing.
Something else I really appreciated about this book is that Kinich’s personality didn’t change just because he was attracted to Penelope. When we first see him, he is adamantly defending his “Gods shouldn’t mate with humans” stance, and he clings that stance throughout the book even as his feelings for Penelope grow stronger. I really hate it when a hard to like hero’s personality makes a sudden shift, so I really liked that Kinich remained the same guy throughout the book.
Another item in the plus column is that the side characters are great. I went into this not knowing a thing about the previous books so meeting all of these people for the first time was a treat. They practically leap off the page, and I definitely want to see more of all the various gods and goddesses.
Really, the only negative thing I can say is that I think Penelope fell in love too quickly. When she first realizes her feelings, I immediately thought “It’s too soon,” and it kind of took me out of the book for a moment because it was so jarring. After that first initial moment though, I was able to look past it and continue to enjoy the book.
All in all, this book was a delightful surprise. I couldn’t be happier that I finally picked it up and started reading. I’m going to have to go back to read the first two books, and I’ll definitely be picking up book four as well!

Outside. Nude. Sweating.
I kicked off the blankets. Boy, it’s hot in here.
Why couldn’t I purge him from my brain? Maybe I didn’t want to. What I really wanted was to see him again. In my bed. In the shower. Ironing naked in my living room. Folding my undies – the pretty ones I reserved for special occasions, of course.
I sighed deeply and rolled over for the fiftieth time.
I hadn’t had a case of lust this bad since Jimmy Roberts in the fourth grade. He had the coolest BMX bike – Ninja Turtles motif with flag, bell, the works. Jimmy also resembled the blond guy from Saved by the Bell. I followed him around at recess, offered him my cherry Capri Sun every lunch, and had his name written twenty times inside my Care Bears notebook. Oh yeah, I’d had it bad.
But this . . . this thing with Cimil’s brother was far worse. I could practically feel my eggs shaving their legs and painting their toenails – hooker red – in preparation to meet him.

Rating's Breakdown:
It was an okay read but my review disclaimer is that books that end with cliffhangers receive an auto star reduction because they contain an incomplete story. I don't require a HEA and will settle for a HFN. But cliffhangers??? They just suck the interest right out of a story (series) for me.
This story was chock full of characters with diverse personality traits. Good in one respect because it kept the story interesting but bad in that it got overwhelming at times with all the people popping in throughout the story. I understand that they were essential to the plot but the story took on a chaotic dimension because of it. The subplots were complex but frustrating, especially as I reached the end of the story and spied no resolution because of the dreaded cliffhanger. And although the story was funny at times, there were many times when the humor felt contrived ("Grack" was one such instance and Cimil's almost excessive hijinks was another). The all-too-prevalent sarcastic quips, retorts, and banal humor ceased having entertainment value after a while.
All in all Sun God Seeks…Surrogate? wasn't a bad story...I just gained more enjoyment from Accidentally in Love with...A God? and Accidentally Married to...A Vampire? I'm crossing my fingers that the next book will feel a bit more fluid and answer some of the unanswered questions that remained in this one.
P.S. This is not a stand alone book. You will be completely lost if you do not read the first two books in the series.

The third book in the Accidentally Yours series is a thrilling paranormal romance.
Penelope Trudeau thought she had seen it all, but nothing like when she is accosted by an insane redhead who has an even crazier proposition – have a baby with the strange woman’s brother in exchange for a million dollars, well that one. While Penelope could use the money to help her mother, she insists that her womb and eggs are not for sale… until she meets her impressively built, gorgeous intended mate and oh let’s not forget to mention that he is an immortal Sun God. Kinich doesn’t believe in fraternizing with humans so procreation is a definite no- no. Until he spends one night with the beautiful Penelope and begins to think that he could be wrong, until he learns that the whole thing was set up by his crazy sister. But if he lets her go, she’ll be in danger from his enemies.
The fast paced plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, action and romance. The author paints the story with vivid images and details that make it seem as if the reader is part the story and the strong compelling characters reach out and grab the reader drawing them deeper into the story. The continuing battle between good and evil that is being fought is well written and believable and the gods that the author created for her paranormal world are intriguing and fun characters that gives a little something extra to the story.
The attraction between Pen and Nick radiates heat from every page and the sex scenes, even the ones in dreamland are hot and steamy, love the shower scene, that one is a category all its own. The romance between the two has a long way to go since there is one very sexy but stubborn Sun God and of course fate has a way of sticking her nose in things making things even more difficult.
I really enjoyed this book and the world of mythological gods that the author has created, it has its unique twists, lots of fun snarky dialogue and some surprises that the reader doesn’t see coming.

And guy was on the way saving her grandmother; Gabriella who had been injected with Maaskab serum.
Came Penelope Trudeau who Cimil propose to be surrogate mother to her brother's baby for a million dollar on the day before Penelope 25th birthday.
Cimil slipped 500k cheque with notes to her. She went to find Cimil to return the cheque and Cimil panicked because Penelope was not supposed to come earlier or her plan will be ruined.
Penelope dreamed of Cimil's brother and she felt she needed to treat her mother thus she decided to take Cimil's offer to meet her brother and take the 500k. Oh her mother gave her a ring as her birthday present. Cimil have her 3 rules. “One: I could not ask why they’d chosen me. That alone was a monumental sacrifice because the question burned in my gut like a festering ulcer. There had to be a reason. Perhaps something to do with the genetic testing I’d volunteered for when a group of specialists researched my mother’s illness? It was plausible that my information ended up in one of those databases.
Two: I had to let her brother bring up the topic du jour first. He apparently felt very sensitive about the surrogate subject and found it difficult to discuss. She insisted I start out by getting to know him a little and waiting for him to open up.
Then there was demand number three: Under no circumstances could I tell anyone about our arrangement. Doing so would land me in… “a very hot and dark place,” she’d said.”
Kinich Ahau aka Nick had a conversation with Votan aka Guy Sebastian. Nick was proposing to end procreating with human afraid of going against their Creator's plan. But Guy dismissed Nick's idea.
10pm sharp Pen met Nick at the hotel diner, went to his penthouse. Apparently Cimil roofied Nick's drink. Both of them can't remembered whether they done the deal or not. But Nick was furious knowing Cimil paid Pen to have his baby.
2 week later, after their heated argument of him acciusing her as seed thief, he called to apologize anddd to check whether she is pregnant already. Then Maaskab came to her place. Nick found her hiding in the dumpster and save her by killing the Maaskab with his light. 💩
He hypnotized her to sleep and brought her to Andrus's place. Andrus was currently babysitting (bodyguard/ caretaker/ manny) Helen and Niccolo DiConti's baby girl Matty - half vampire whom drink blood from the bottle. Cute! Helena helped bathe her.
When Pen woke up, she then left. Nick went to tell Guy about the Maaskab incident and wanted him to find out why the Maaskab was after Pen. Guy has spy inside the Maaskab - Tomasso. Nick also said that he didn't think that Pen is pregnant because she removed the jade necklace.
“Gods could only be intimate with a human when they wore the black jade. And, if conception occurred, the fetus would only survive if the mother continued wearing it. Otherwise, the god’s light was too potent for a human body to endure”

Turned out, though, only the firstborn children carried Chaam’s deity genes—including any firstborn children from subsequent generations. So then he started to sleep with lots and lots of women. If the children were male, he gave them to the Maaskab for their army. Females—Payals—on the other hand, weren’t so lucky; once grown, they were slaughtered and used as deity-charged biofuel for his weapons—some sort of black jade pyramids he’d built.”
“I suppose I did, although I do not recall that night. The jade, however, is not evil by itself. It is merely a substance capable of storing particular kinds of energy, supernatural energy. If it is exposed to good energy, then that’s what it will contain. If dark energy, the same. Luckily, only one being knows the secret to releasing the charge—Chaam—and he’s not talking.”

Nick frowned. “He does not speak because he’s locked away inside his pyramid under constant surveillance by our human allies, the Uchben.”

Pen saw Emma and Guy's bonding ritual of burning their hair. So pen did the same. The next day she can hear Kinich's voices inside her head. Apparently right before kinich killed the Maaskab he recited the prayer of Loyalty and Protection. He got his last wish which was to be inside her. She now houses the power of the sun, and it is their law that whoever holds this gift will be the gods leader. In the summit she was crushed knowing he wants to put the banning of making more Payals to a vote. Until she is separated from the power, she is the Goddess of the Sun. “Kinich growled, “Looks as though Cimil’s plan was successful, Penelope.”
“Huh?”
“All along we assumed she wanted you to be the surrogate mother of my child, when in fact, she was plotting for this. You, the surrogate Sun God. My proxy. A Payal who just successfully turned the tides away from a vote on this matter.”
Kinich's second vote was for her immortality but she dismissed him.
Fate suggested her to break the bond with Kinich.
She said “I believe that when the Maaskab released the jar into the pool—a jar meant to immobilize him so they could get to you—Kinich’s light separated from his humanlike body, leaving behind a mortal shell. But his immortal essence did not return to the cenote, as one might expect. Instead, it was drawn into you. Perhaps because he recited the prayer at the exact moment his light abandoned his body. Perhaps the Maaskab bespelled the jar in some way. Who knows? But nevertheless, the solution is clear. You must sever the bond.”
Pen kissed his cold lips, rested her head on his chest, and then recited the phrase Fate had written down for her right after the meeting. “Catcha lum tumben caah.”
It worked. He was back inside his body and immediately have sex with her. Not to my liking cause he tried to take her from behind and serve him right cause his penis sizzle and burns when he came. 😛
So his power was still with Pen and now he's just a mortal in human body. Cimil came claiming she could no longer see the future. And she congrats Pen for her baby and showed her the video of their making drunken sex. And the fact that the ring her mother gave her was sold by Cimil. Nick left her with just a letter. And the war started. Guy and Niccolo was stuck in the Maaskab's portal. Helena will now be the leader of the vampires. Emma (who is also now pregnant) will rule the roost Uchben. Viktor and Tomasso managed to save Pen's mother. “I rule the House of the Gods,” I clarified. “Helena is essentially the vampire queen. Emma the leader of the Uchben?” I was about to add that little tidbit about my grandmother leading the Maaskab, but couldn’t bring myself to say the words aloud.”
Her mother was actually a fallen angel who was used by the most evil vampire - Philippe. But Viktor turned her into a vampire. Roberto - Narmer (vampire) threatened to kill Kinich for revenge (errr I guess he wanted to marry her and have babies) and towards Cimil.
“He’s going to make Kinich a vampire,” Cimil explained, all too casually for my taste.
“What? No! I won’t let you touch him!” I didn’t want Kinich to die—gods no—but the one and only thing he’d ever wanted was to be mortal. And after seventy thousand years, he finally had it.
Roberto made a theatrical bow. “As you wish. But it is Kinich who came to me and struck the bargain.”
“Bargain?” I asked.
“Yes, he and I have been in negotiations for over a month. I was to kill my brother Philippe and he would deliver Cimil. Kinich came to me last week to finalize the deal. He offered his new mortal life as insurance.”
My mind scrambled. “Kinich had you kill your own brother? He let you do this to him? But why?”
Cimil gazed upon Kinich’s limp body with affection. “Very clever, my dear brother. We shall engrave your portrait in the Summit Room, right next to Kathy Griffin.”
“I’m not following,” I said.
“Philippe, who we’d been hunting for eons, was the maker of the Obscuros,” Cimil explained. “Roberto killed him, thereby snuffing out his bloodline, including any Maaskab who’d been turned.”
Philippe? The Philippe? My mother’s tormentor was the maker of the Obscuros? Son of a bitch was lucky to be dead, because what I wanted to do was much, much worse.
And Kinich gave his life to have him killed, to have all of the Obscuros killed.
Holy crap. The sad irony started to sink in.
Why hadn’t Kinich told anyone? Why keep it a secret?
Because… you would have stopped him.
Christ! I would have. And since he had no powers, there would have been nothing he could do to fight me, either. But if he had stayed, we would have lost the battle. We would have lost everything. My mother included.

Cimil slipped 500k cheque with notes to her. She went to find Cimil to return the cheque and Cimil panicked because Penelope was not supposed to come earlier or her plan will be ruined.
Penelope dreamed of Cimil's brother and she felt she needed to treat her mother thus she decided to take Cimil's offer to meet her brother and take the 500k. Oh her mother gave her a ring as her birthday present. Cimil have her 3 rules. “One: I could not ask why they’d chosen me. That alone was a monumental sacrifice because the question burned in my gut like a festering ulcer. There had to be a reason. Perhaps something to do with the genetic testing I’d volunteered for when a group of specialists researched my mother’s illness? It was plausible that my information ended up in one of those databases.
Two: I had to let her brother bring up the topic du jour first. He apparently felt very sensitive about the surrogate subject and found it difficult to discuss. She insisted I start out by getting to know him a little and waiting for him to open up.

2 week later, after their heated argument of him acciusing her as seed thief, he called to apologize anddd to check whether she is pregnant already. Then Maaskab came to her place. Nick found her hiding in the dumpster and save her by killing the Maaskab with his light. 💩
He hypnotized her to sleep and brought her to Andrus's place. Andrus was currently babysitting (bodyguard/ caretaker/ manny) Helen and Niccolo DiConti's baby girl Matty - half vampire whom drink blood from the bottle. Cute! Helena helped bathe her.
When Pen woke up, she then left. Nick went to tell Guy about the Maaskab incident and wanted him to find out why the Maaskab was after Pen. Guy has spy inside the Maaskab - Tomasso. Nick also said that he didn't think that Pen is pregnant because she removed the jade necklace.

Sun God SeeksI think Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is the only author I read where I actually put up with cliff hangers. This is the third book of the Accidentally Yours series and is worth the read and the aggravation of having to wait for the next one. If my husband hadn't been sleeping I would have screamed NOOOOOOOOOOO! when I finished the book, but damn I think I almost liked it more then Accidentally in Love with ...A God? These crazy Gods are so funny and Cimil bat ass crazy as ever but man I love her. I can't wait to read her story. But on with Sun God Seeks...
Penelope Trudeau is living in hard times her mother is ill and they can't afford the treatment for whatever is wrong with her. She hates her job and is working her butt of working a crappy waitress job when out of the blue this crazy lady wearing snorkel goggles as a headband offers her a million dollars to act as a surrogate for her brother. Pen doesn't think she can do it but when she meets this brother she is taken away by his beauty and his mesmerizing turquoise eyes. One night together, one wild night neither one of them can remember because apparently Cimil drugged the champagne.
Kinich is the God of Sun (duh) and aside for Emma he thinks mating with Payals (payal: true genetic offspring to the gods and are the only one who can produce offspring with Gods) is wrong and wants to ban the Gods from being able to procreate with them. He completely blows a gasket when he finds out Cimil has paid a woman to sleep with him just to get pregnant. The only problem is that despite his feelings for Pen he still thinks it is wrong. "It's complicated" what he keeps telling her, she is falling in love with the stubborn God and he just keeps tearing at her making her feel even worse.
To make matters worse the Maaskabs (bloodthirsty Mayan priest) and the Obscuros (evil vampires who only feed from the innocent) joined forces and are after Pen and her mother, Julie, has gone missing from the specialized hospital and the scary Viking looking vampire, Viktor has gone missing looking for her. Not to mention Cimil has gone missing. The Gods convene to discuss the pending apocalypse. Before it all happens Kinich and Pen start to give in to there attraction, in a quite literally steaming hot scene, when a Moboscuros knocks Kinich out of his body only giving him enough time to bind himself to Pen. Now he is trapped inside Pen's mind and now with the summit going on Pen is the surrogate Sun God. That's only the beginning they must plan an attack to rescue Pen's mother, and the other missing Payals and defeat the Moboscuros with out the world ending in apocalypse.

This was my favorite book of the series. I loved the characters, and you can see the direction the author is heading with the wrap up of the series. It was nice seeing the characters from the first two books back and playing such a big part of this story. This is a great series. I would not however start with this book. They really need to be read in order
Penelope, needs money. She is dealing with a very sick mother. The doctors and specialists have no idea what is wrong with her, and an experimental treatment is available in Sweden, for a mere eighty thousand dollars a year. Yeah sure why not? She can pull that off on her salary as a waitress. Penelope would also like to go back to school, finish her education and start a career.
Fortunately for her, a solution drops right in her lap. A strange woman, dressed in hot pink approaches her in a coffee shop and offers her a million dollars. All she has to do is be a surrogate for her brother. As much as she needs the money, Penelope can't tell this woman enough ways that her eggs and womb are not for sale or rent. But being Cimil, Goddess of the underworld, she wont take no for an answer. She knows once Penelope sees her brother, she wont be able to refuse.
Kinich, God of the Sun, Nick to his friends, works hard to keep humans safe. He believes relationships (like his brothers) with humans should be forbidden. There is no way a God can maintain a healthy relationship with a human and still perform his duties.
That's where his sister Cimil comes in. She is in a word, crazy. She sees the future, and manipulates the parties into what needs to be done to fulfill the prophecy. So she arranges for Nick and Penelope to spend some "quality" time together. Whether they want to or not.
This puts Penelope right in the middle of the trouble the Gods are having with Maaskab (dark priests) and the Obscuros (bad vampires). What Cimil has predicted is an apocalypse. The end of the world, unless the gods and their allies can work together to win the war.
Like I said earlier, this was my favorite of the three books so far. Right up till the end. Where once again we are left with a massive cliff hanger. We really don't have much of a conclusion to anything. The HEA, is not really resolved, we have characters who have gone missing, Other couples are in crisis. And the world is coming to an end. I hope things start being answered soon.

"TO BE CONTINUED"
I never thought I'd see these words from this series. :(
The story was good. It started out on a light and funny note just like the other two books.
Nick was very serious with his stand about the "no-touching-mortals-rule" but he was totally contradicting himself when it comes to Penelope. Penelope on the other hand, had so many things to think about. Her mom was sick and she was working herself to the bone to make ends meet since she was also studying.. Well, that is until Cimil drops the bomb on her. She kinda tricked her into sleeping with Nick. Cimil was still bat shit crazy. Her scenes were annoyingly funny. haha. I'm looking forward to more weird jokes coming from her.
Nick and Penelope does have a great chemistry. I like how they fight and then not-fight. They had their cute moments, especially when Nick got inside Penelope's head.
So there, everything was going well, until things got serious and I wanted those two characters to just be together. Unfortunately, it doesn't "really" happen in this book because there's a continuation. Dayyymm, I shoulda seen it coming near the end when the two main characters were still not seeing each other. My happy ending is still out of reach. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The story was good. It started out on a light and funny note just like the other two books.
Nick was very serious with his stand about the "no-touching-mortals-rule" but he was totally contradicting himself when it comes to Penelope. Penelope on the other hand, had so many things to think about. Her mom was sick and she was working herself to the bone to make ends meet since she was also studying.. Well, that is until Cimil drops the bomb on her. She kinda tricked her into sleeping with Nick. Cimil was still bat shit crazy. Her scenes were annoyingly funny. haha. I'm looking forward to more weird jokes coming from her.

I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.
I like this book the best in the series so far! I was really worried that the series would get predictable and boring, and go stale like that pack of crackers you threw in your purse for emergency munchies, but when you pull them out and see they're all crumbly and broken you throw them back in your purse in case you're ever desperate enough to eat them, but never do.....whoa, I think I was channeling Cimil for a minute there. Sorry, got the focus back. Like I was saying, I was afraid the series would just get predictable, but it didn't. This one held my attention the entire time. I even stayed up until 4 am trying to get in "just one more chapter". I admit it. I was suffering from the gack (god crack). But in the best way.
I was even ready to be frustrated with the whole "fade to black then reopen the scene the morning after" tactic. Seriously. I wanted details! But the fact that neither character could remember whether they did, or did not, was perfect. Frustrated Nick is very yummy.

How about a book with 414 pages on kindle, 11 hours 28 minutes on audible and ends with TO BE CONTINUED......
Pretty disappointing I say. I have not even started the 4th book I am so aggravated. Lets just say that if I had to wait the 9-12 months for the next book to be released this review would be a bit more scathing. Luckily I just started this series and 5 of the books are available. However I am not even sure the 5 book is the last so who knows!
I think this story could have been finished without the stupid TO BE CONTINUED....
I would have been more inclined to immediately buy it. But I am not. On to something else then I may come back to finish this series.
Okay now that I am done venting, I thought the story was good. There were more of the Gods involved, the story line and plot was good. The chemistry between Penelope and Kinich is good, although his tunnel vision on relationships is a bit annoying. The sex scenes are well written, I love Cimil, Goddess of the Underworld. There is a lot of dialogue, ( I like a lot of dialogue) unfortunately this book is also written in the first person so again we get the blah blah blah thoughts of Penelope throughout the story. A lot of the characters from the previous books are present in this book, I like that.
As for the narrator, I have to say she has gotten so much better since the first book, All the characters have their own distinct voice, the men sound like men, she puts a lot of emotion in where it is needed and her reading voice is good.

This was a fantastic third book in the Accidentally Yours series! The main characters are Penelope and Kinich (Nick). And I think Kinich is my favorite God so far. Although Mimi introduces a ton of new characters as well as bringing back characters from books 1 and 2. She has created a fantastic world with characters that present endless possibilities. This particular book is able to create a new story while pulling in the main crisis from book 1 and 2. The new characters promise to have very key roles in upcoming books and I can't wait to how the higher arcing story unfolds. The third book in any series present problems because it has to propel a reader to keep reading. In this case there is resolution without resolution, if that makes sense. *small spoiler* It is a cliffhanger, but somehow I was okay with that because... well, read the book to find out why...And Mimi does not disappoint on the snarkiness, sexiness and silliness that is found when dealing with Gods and Goddesses and all other paranormals. I laughed myself to tears in nearly every chapter. Definitely worth the time to read all three!

The story of the Sun god Nick (Kinich) and Penelope.
As always, the author again showed how funny she is. There were so many funny and sarcastic dialogues, monologues and side comments. But sometimes when you've had too many, it becomes tiring. I saw some typos and some grammar problems (it kinda distracted me). No editor?
The book started really well and interesting. But as the book progressed, it got kinda weirder and weirder. She started throwing all these charcters in the story. And they were..."weird" (lol). Plus I found that these minor characters just confused me since they didnt seem to do anything important there but argue with one another.
I didnt appreciate how this book ended. It was anti-climactic, resolved nothing and was a damn cliffhanger.
Warning to readers: If you're expecting a "happy ending" like the 1st and 2nd book, you wont find it here. Better to have th 4th book handy before reading this one.

Gods run amuck, craziness ensues and we’re left hanging. What can one expect in between all of this? A funny, sexy, romantic all around amazingly great read!
Cliffhanges... not a big fan unless it's a feeling I'm having on a Six Flags ride, which is exactly what you get in this third book of the Accidentally Yours Series. Yeap! A cliffhanger all rolled up in a bat-s***-funny story orchestrated by no other than our favorite aunty Cimil (whose name is hopefully in line for the next roller coaster ride somewhere).
I really liked Penelope's quivering-with-want eggs and the rest of the set of characters in the series. In this book, we're also introduced to more gods, their interesting personalities and a whopper of challenge they have to face.
Overall, I think Mimi has found a great balance between fun, romance and drama and has left us all eager to get our hands on the next volume in her series.

What can I say? I came across the first of the Accidentally Yours series a while back and became instantly addicted. It's like crack...or as the heroine of this newest intallment may refer to it as grack.
This book is funny and I found myself falling in love with all the characters in Mimi Jean Pamgiloff's world full of oddball gods, goddesses, vampires, half vampires, payals, naked angry leprachauns...the list goes on and on. I suggest the reader first read the other books in the series, or find themselves completely lost...and believe me you don't want to be lost with the goddess Cimil anywhere! (Except maybe at a good garage sale!)

Mimi never stops amazing me! I loved books 1 & 2 so there was no doubt in my mind that I would also love book 3....however; I was pleasantly surprised as to how much more I loved it!!! I now have a new fav god (sorry Votan!) and it is just a book that keeps you on your toes & you cannot put down! Being a full time mom to 3 little ones (5 and under) + havig a full time job is beyond tough! Reading is my escape and one of my biggest pleasures, so Mimi, my hat off to you for being such a good writer and thank you for allowing me to "escape" to your wonderful world!!!

I had to reread the prior 2 books to bring myself up to speed before tackling this. Auntie Cimil is a hoot as usual and gets what's coming to her one hopes). Again we're a few steps forward and back. If you've read the other books in this series then it shouldn't come as a surprise that it ends with a cliff hanger..and unresolved.
Am I the only one getting tired or this? I like my plots nicely wrapped with a bow on top thanks.
You'll also meet some of the other Gods that make Cimil seem sane - no wonder their World is a mess.

Too many repetitions and too many characters. Absolute betrayal of reader/author trust in my mind in that there wasn't even a HFN ending (I don't need an HEA, but HFN in what is presented as a romance is absolutely required, or at least what appears to be a possibility and the way this leaves off it doesn't hint at how that could come about) and not one of the plotlines woven in was completed unless you consider the "rescue mom" one, and even that...the heroine sat back and other people did that. She didn't play any direct part in it.

I started reading this book in the morning and could not put it down until I finished. My eyes were blurry from reading, but mostly from laughing. The book is quick paced, smart, and fresh. Fans will not be disappointed in the third book of the series. All of the favorite characters are back. Cimil is in rare form. The fellas are steamy, or is that scorching hot. Where is my sun block? And, the bad creatures are up to now good.
