From the day he embraced Islam until the day he died, Abu Bakr As-Siddique أبو بكر الصديق (Radhi Allahu Anhu - May Allah be Pleased with Him) was the ideal Muslim, surpassing all other Companions in every sphere of life. During the Prophet's lifetime, Abu Bakr was an exemplary soldier on the battlefield; upon the Prophet's death, Abu Bakr (R) remained steadfast and, through the help of Allah, held this nation together. When others suggested keeping Usaamah's army back, Abu Bakr insisted - and correctly so - that the army should continue the mission which the Prophet (S) had in mind. When people refused to pay Zakaat, and when the apostates threatened the stability of the Muslim nation, Abu Bakr was the one who remained firm and took decisive action against them. These are just some of the examples of Abu Bakr's many wonderful achievements throughout his life. I have endeavored to describe all of the above in a clear and organized manner. But more so than anything else, I have tried to show how Abu Bakr's methodology as a Muslim and as a ruler helped establish the foundations of a strong, stable, and prosperous country - one that began in Al-Madeenah, extended throughout the Arabian Peninsula, and then reached far-off lands outside of Arabia.
Throughout the brief period of his caliphate (about 2 years), Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (R) faced both internal and external challenges; the former mainly involved quelling the apostate factions of Arabia and establishing justice and peace among the citizens of the Muslim nation; and the latter mainly involved expanding the borders of the Muslim nation by spreading the message of Islam to foreign nations and conquering those nations that stood in the way of the propagation of Islam.
During the era of his caliphate, Khalifah Abu Bakr As Siddeeq (R) sent out armies that achieved important conquests; for example, under the command of Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed (R) the Muslim army gained an important victory in Iraq. And the Muslim army achieved other important victories under the commands of Al-Muthannah ibn Haarithah (R) and Al-Qa'qaa ibn 'Amr (R). In short, the victories achieved during the era of Abu Bakr's Caliphate paved the way for victories that later took place after Abu Bakr's death. I have tried to analyze the above-mentioned conquests and to break down the reasons why they were such monumental successes. I particularly pointed out Abu Bakr's contributions to those conquests: His military strategy, the leaders he chose, the letters through which he communicated with them, and so on.

I was always intrigued by the Prophet's ﷺ and Ebubekir's friendship. So much that I wish to model my friendships according to theirs. It is full of trust, constant support and mutual respect. This piece of work is compact and short. I believe every chapter could've had more content or somewhat more to them. It's definitely a good read regardless as its shortness smoothly introduces the topic. And whoever wants to know more can continue their research.
This was amazing and simple for people whos beginner in learning Islamic History, I always wanted to read the stories of The Four Rightly Caliph, and this series are perfect for someone who want to read the shorter surface version.
I wish it's was long as it felt so short, though there's more moment about relation of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq with The Prophet that could be an example of a true frienship and companion for all human.
Absolutely amazing. Very well written and the best collection of details about the life of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). It's a delight to read about everything about this amazing personality at one place with good sources quoted everywhere. Jazak Allahu khayr to the writer for this effort.
The book was rather short yet left me feeling like it was long. There were too many facts in the book that didn't have to do directly with Abu Bakr included so at times, I had to remind myself that this is a biography of him. For instance, at the end in a passing sentence, I found out that Abu Bakr was known for his work in genealogy. I want to know more about that!
In my opinion, a biography should make you want to learn more about the person and by chapter 3, I didn't feel as excited. In fact, chapter 3 was the worst written chapter.
"Abu Bakr was his kunyah. Do you know what a kunyah is?" - First page of Chapter 3 in this book.
Asking a question mid-book that requires as a yes or no answer comes off as patronizing, as if I were being read to as a young child by a teacher. Perhaps this book was designed for kids under the age of 12, which is totally fine, but if that were the case, the sheer number of details given on warfare would have bored any child.
I believe the facts were all accurate - just boring and not conveyed properly so this is why I am giving a 3/5 stars.

An excellent book to get familiar with the basics about this great man. The english was easy to read and understand. a little too much focus on the conquest and expeditions. but i understand why as that was a big part of his Caliphate.
This is an extremely beautiful book that although no amount of pages or words can be used to properly describe Abu Bakr As-sideeq (may Allah be please with him), this book still delivered and absolutely deserves five stars
