The children of Jasper’s Bay had not seen nor heard from an adult in over a year. So, when a tall stranger arrives in town, the delight is widespread. However, the joy and wonder are soon replaced by hostility as a rift develops between those with the virus, and those without. When sisters Lexi and Hadley are caught in the middle, dire consequences erupt. Can the town survive the bitter conflict, or will it implode from within?

Divided is the third truly captivating book in the Seventeen series, meant to be read by teens and young adults. The storyline enjoys a catchy setting which is vividly described, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the world of the story. Blended elements of adventure, emotional twists and turns and well-crafted characters are the main components of the fiction. The author has developed a compelling narrative with a well-balanced pacing, thrilling action sequences and moments that allow us to truly connect with the characters not as mere readers but on a different level. All the characters have their own complexities and face challenges which make them unique and forces us to connect with them.
With its promising and thought-provoking plot, this title is a success. It invites readers to consider society dynamics, empathy, and possible negative effects of people’s division. This book in the Seventeen Series delivers an intriguing and significant addition to the genre with its compelling characters, fascinating setting, and relevant ideas. This is a delightful young adult piece of work in which the pace is often excellent, with great breaks for tension and contemplation. However, there are times when the story may have benefited from being more tightly focused. All in all, this is not a determining factor to stop enjoying this title. I highly recommend it and of course I’ll give it 5-stars.
This third book in the "seventeen" series has left me even more surprised than the previous ones; it is a novel full of charm, conflicts that are resolved in a mysterious way and pleasant characters. The scenes seem carefully thought out and the protagonists are defined in an incredible way, each one follows their essence, their character and their style and one can quickly recognize them. I was very satisfied with the reading and, for this reason, I highly recommend it. It is an easy reading book aimed mainly at adolescents and young adults. At home, we have read the entire series and my family has accepted it very well. We loved it
Book number three in the series is a very enthralling young adult story with a very captivating plot. One of my favorite things about this book and about author’s Suzanne Lowe’s work is her way of describing the characters, how she gives them life and the reader can picture a very vivid image of them.
The plot is very interesting and it leaves the reader eager to know more, this idea of a town with no adults and suddenly someone arrives sparking hope and conflict onto the main characters Lexi and Hadley.
To sum up, I think this is a great book for teenagers; I loved how chapter 10 ends!
I loved reading this series and this third book really tied up the story nicely. I enjoyed all the descriptions of the outback and i felt like i was in Australia with the characters in the story. Great read.
