Thank you to Net Galley, the Publishers and the authors

Flashpoint, a Lexi Mills Book 6.

Sadly this is my first book to read in the series, yes gifted this book to read, sounded to good to refuse.

Yes as reading I had to get used to the many characters, yes strong characters in this series of books, which I did and quickly was connected to the fast pace, strong story of this book.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.

Flashpoint by Brian Shea and Stacy Lynn Miller is the sixth installment in the Lexi Mills series, and it does not disappoint. This novel is a high-octane thriller that takes readers on a rollercoaster ride of suspense, action, and intrigue.

The story picks up with seasoned ATF Agent Lexi Mills on the trail of a notorious crime boss, Anton Boyko, following the mysterious death of a top Federal Prosecutor. Lexi’s pursuit leads her to the Raven, a criminal mastermind with a deadly high-tech weapons system. Alongside her partner Nathan Croft, Lexi finds herself entangled in a complex FBI plan that pushes her skills and morality to the limit.

Shea and Miller have crafted a narrative that is both explosive and meticulously plotted. The pacing is relentless, making it nearly impossible to put the book down. The authors’ backgrounds—Shea’s experience as a detective and Miller’s military service—lend authenticity to the tactical and procedural elements of the story, immersing the reader in the world of federal law enforcement.

Lexi Mills is a protagonist for the ages—tough, intelligent, and unwavering in her pursuit of justice. Her character development throughout the series reaches new heights in Flashpoint, as she navigates the murky waters of national security and personal ethics.

The writing is crisp, the dialogue sharp, and the action scenes are described with a clarity that puts you right in the middle of the fray. The stakes are incredibly high, and the tension builds to a crescendo that delivers a satisfying payoff.

Flashpoint is a must-read for fans of thrillers, especially those who enjoy a strong female lead and a plot that keeps you guessing.

I received an ARC through "Severn River Publishing" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story begins with the Raven once more providing a tool to eliminate a Assistant U.S. Atorney to prevent the start of a Grand Jury hearing relating to a N.Y. crime family. The instrument is to cause the individual to pass out and die in an accident. The individual has close ties to Lexi.

Lexi meanwhile has been on vacation the past week since her honeymoon was interrupted earlier. When she arrived at the office, she came upon the fact that it was decorated with flyswatters and to remind her of the gaffe that she did in the last book. She was also called into her boss's office and told that she was being removed from the Raven case and Nathan, her partner, was taking over. Lexi was able to convince her boss to let her stay on the case. While Lexi was away a discovery was made that might help the case. She and Nathan the next day went to a prison in New York to speak with an inmate.

As it worked out, the NY crime and Raven case would intersect. As a result of another request to the Raven, his equipment designer was captured. In order to pressure Lexi, a member of her task force was kidnapped. A plan was put into motion where an exchange would be made with Robert, the Raven's man, and the task force member would be exchanged. Things did not go as planned and many casualties were made.

Eventually because of the importance of the weapons that the Rave had developed, a plan was put in place to capture him and recover the weapons and the designs that were created.

To discover what happened to the U.S. attorney, who was kidnapped, how and who was relaying information to the FBi, and how it all worked out in the end, then you need to read this book. You won't be disappointed.

Over the course of the six books in this series I have become hopelessly enamored by Lexi Mills and her ability to kick ass and take names. Flashpoint, like its predecessors, kept me on the edge of my chair and several times I found myself holding my breath. Along with non-stop action and plenty of intrigue/suspense there was also a profound loss. To figure out what that loss was you will need to get a copy and get busy reading. To say Brian Shea and Stacy Lynn Miller take their readers on an emotional rollercoaster ride is an understatement. This is one of the best police series that I’ve read. I received an advance reader copy of Flashpoint from the publisher and chose to provide this review.

Even if you haven’t read previous books in the series, this book will pull you in and keep you totally focused. This sixth book in this series hits the ground running and doesn’t let up until the very end! This series is so well written with great characters. Lexi and her team continue their hunt for the Raven and this time they’ve never been closer to bringing him to justice. Will they finally bring an end to his reign of terror and protect national security? Pick up this explosive, action packed series installment to find out!

The tension is from the beginning, continuing to the end, and Lexi is on a line of which direction to take. Readers will love the author's latest book.
A good series that continues with this fast paced plot, and with Lexi and Nathan.
A Top Federal prosecuter dies in a mysterious accident, they now know the stakes are high. The criminal who started this, seems to be one step ahead of them
Well done and I enjoyed.. Given arc for my voluntary review

This is a very well written book with great characters. It can also be entertaining if you turn your brain completely OFF, as there is a lot of tactical nonsense. The technology is still sci-fi, and if it were realistic, it's (unfortunately) not possible to un-invent anything, so their quest is moot.

Flashpoint ties all the loose ends left in the previous books, it's full of action with Lexi at her best and supported by her team. They fight to put the Raven and his engineer behind bars and to obtain control of the locusts and their production plans. It has a great plot, it's well-written and very entertaining!
I thank the authors and their publisher for this ARC.

This installment of the series hooked me from the first chapter. Lexi Mills is set on taking down the Raven once and for all, events in this book putting him closer than ever.

I enjoyed the way this story unfolded, and look forward to seeing what's in store for Lexi in the future.
