Even though computer wireless networks havent been around for very long, the basic technology used to create them is more than 100 years old. WiFi uses radio waves to send and receive data and connect smartphones, tablets, and computers to the Internet. Today, almost everywhere you go has WiFi, including schools, coffee shops, and the library. The inner workings of this ubiquitous technology will fascinate readers, who probably use it every day. Accompanied by full-color photos, the main content will introduce innovators like Nikola Tesla and other electronics history, as well as the future possibilities of wireless connection.
'How Does Wi-Fi Work?' by Matt Anniss is a very good book in the High-Tech Science series. Each book in the series presents a detailed explanation of a different topic in the Technology branch of Science. This book is about Wi-Fi, the thing that enables us to connect to the internet wherever we are in the world. A very good book that I would recommend to any young readers who are interested in Technology.
Holy cow, Batman! This book was detailed. Granted I am not a science person, but this book, while thorough, was def. for the older reader. I found it in my juvenile section of my library. Can't see how a grade school student could comprehend it.
