This was one of my daughter's favorite stories; we read it frequently. While I have always held Sesame Street in high regard, this book doesn't do a whole lot for me. It's okay, but it seems like it was banged out in about 15 minutes.
Antonyms can be taught using this as there are several simple examples.
It won't be the worst thing you ever read, but it is no page turner either. :)
This is read many times per week in our house. It has good rhythm and rhyme which makes it fun to read out loud. I change my voice to match what the monsters are doing in the story, makes it more interesting for me and the kids love it.
Preschool-grade one reader using repetitive text and opposites to encourage reading. Children will be attracted to the familiar and adorable characters from Sesame Street.
