Dr. Cresswell Simmons, a dream worker, is passionate about traumatized psychics and works in a psychiatric hospital to find those she can help. Six months ago, she barely survived a traumatic experience with a patient. Now on the cusp of returning to work and dreading every minute of it, she’s asked to step back into the same case that almost destroyed her. She desperately wants to say no, but an eight-year-old boy’s life is at stake. Gray Burnett had worked on the original case, watching the devastation that had hurt Cressy. When asked to help her retrieve the information they need, he agrees—but more to protect her and the little boy than following orders. When her return to work is less than joyful, he wonders at the undercurrents in the hospital, as jealousy, admin disputes, even Board of Director members dominate the investigation and not in a good way. Cressy is used to a world that doesn’t understand her work, but she needs Gray to open up and to see what’s going on around them. It’s the only way they will survive, as the case takes a bizarre turn that shocks even her …

I’ve been reading this series for many years and it never gets old. There is always some new ability coming up that we’ve never seen before. Such unique and unusual stories that grab you and won’t let go. Go grab this one now. You won’t be sorry.
Dr. Cresswell Simmons is a dream worker and works in a psychiatric hospital to find those she can help. Six months ago she barely survived a traumatic experience with a patient and is now about to return to work when she is asked to step back into the same case because an eight-year-old boy's life is at stake. FBI Agent Gray Burnett worked on the original case and watched the devastation that hurt Cressy When asked to help her retrieve the information that they needed he agreed to protect her and the little boy and not to follow his orders. Her return to work was not good as there were undercurrents, jealousy and admin disputes in the hospital and even the members of the Board of Directors were involved and under investigation. Cressy is used to the world not understanding her work but needs Gray to open up and see what is happening around them if they are to survive.
I really enjoyed this story with all the layers within the psychiatric hospital and trying to work out who was orchestrating which part of the puzzle and who could it be. I liked the strange relationship between Cressy and Gray and the way she had to be the one to work and he was her protector using every tool he had in the non-psychic world to protect her. The emotions of the characters were clearly explained and easy to understand. A little mature content at the end.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really like the relationship between Cressy and Gray. While he doesn’t quite understand what she does he does his best to support her. The ending was a bit of a shock. I definitely didn’t see it coming.

When Dr. Maddy calls Dr. Cresswell 'Cressy' Simmons she had forgotten the time difference. Dr. Maddy needs Cressy's help with a young patient who is currently hospitalized in Bishop's Sanitorium. While Cressy knows she won't say no to Dr Maddy, she also has concerns. She's been on sabbatical since the last case, it took quite a toll on her, and she collapsed right after. This case involves a twelve-year-old boy who witnessed the murder of his family. He's withdrawn into his mind and insists the person in custody is not the right one.
The FBI agent involved is one who was also on that case. Gray Burnett doesn't know that he actually helped Cressy, he's a non-believer. While talking to her, Grant calls him and he expresses concern that Cressy isn't quite sane. That comment leads to a phone call with Stefan.
As Cressy returns to work her co-workers welcome her back. Some sincerely, some not so much. There have been many changes since she went on sabbatical, none of them good.
She looks in on her patients and finds they have regressed some almost to the point where they began. She also finds an increase in medication for some and changes in medications and doses for others.
The hospital staff doesn't question Gray's presence, and he's there when she has her initial visit with Adam. She finds that while Adam is twelve years old, he's regressed to age eight. She manages to do some soothing with her energy, and she'll be able to do more later without an audience. Taking him to the main dining room for lunch she discovers the quality of the food has drastically declined. This enrages her, healthy food is a must for these patients. The chemicals in what they are serving is detrimental in many cases.
She learns the board of directors have taken the stance of the bottom line being most important. That's not good when the families of these patients are paying top dollar for their care.
After a feeling of being followed the night before, she asks Gray to check her office for bugs. What he finds is she's being spied on. Now she's questioning everything and debating whether or not to stay on staff there.
There are so many twists in this book, as well as the growing attraction between her and Gray. I can honestly say I was totally surprised by the outcome of this case.
When I first started reading Dale Mayer's "Psychic Vision" series it was so far out of my comfort zone, I couldn't imagine enjoying it and now I eagerly wait for them to be released. Dr Creswell Simons had a special psychic gift that she was able to put to good use in the psychiatric hospital where she worked, it was a gift that non of her colleagues understood, it was a gift that set her apart and made her quite lonely but it was a gift that produced great results. Cressy had returned to work after an absence of six months, an absence that she needed to heal herself after a traumatic incident that nearly ended her life. The FIB didn't understand Cressy's psychic ability, they just knew that it worked, they desperately wanted information from a traumatised child who had been admitted to the hospital, they knew that only Cressy could get close enough to him to use her woo woo (as they called what they couldn't understand). In the six months that Cressy had been away things at the hospital had changed and not for the better, with Cressy out of the way the board had reduced to funding, the patients were sedated instead of treated, the food was inedible and the security was non existent, Cressy was fighting the board and some if her colleagues, who could she trust ? Cressy felt an aura of evil about the place, a feeling that she knew well. One person who Cressy could trust was FBI Agent Grey Burnett, he had seen first hand her near death experience, he didn't understand what she did although he tried, he did know that he trusted her and he would be there to protect her. This story is exciting from beginning to end, it twists and turns to a very unexpected climax and of course love blossoms between Cressy and Grey. I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.
Dr Cresswell (Cressy) Simmons is a dream worker and psychiatrist who's passionate about her patients, especially traumatized psychics. Six months earlier she barely survived an attack by a patient at the hospital where she works so she took some time off. Now she's being asked to return and work the same case and only agrees because an eight-year-old boy is at risk. Gray Burnett worked the original case and knows about the attack on Cressy because he was there. So, when he's asked to help, he immediately agrees. But things aren't the same at the hospital and Cressy seems to be under attack. Can Gray and Cressy figure out what's going on? To do so, he's going to have to open himself up to her world.
I absolutely love this series and this book is no exception. The paranormal romance genre is a favorite and this series is a can't-miss. I buy every book without even reading the synopsis. This book was well-written with well-rounded characters and a fast-paced plot. I was immediately drawn into this tantalizing tale and kept hooked from start to finish. This intense story had action, intrigue, mystery, and romance, all with a paranormal twist. The two main characters were great and there were some characters who "returned" from previous books including Dr Maddy and Stefan. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend both book and series.
This suspense filled psychic thriller will have you on the edge of your seats. The characters will captivate you. Dr Cressy is a psychic dream walker and psychologist. She works at a hospital walking into the minds of patients bringing the good forward and hopefully getting the bad out.alot of the patients don't really need to be in a hospital for mental issues. Many are psychic in one form or another and need to learn how to use their abilities for good.she's been off work for six months since she was attacked both psychically and physically. She gets a call at five in the morning from Dr Maddie saying she needs her help.a young boy is at the hospital where Cressy works he's pulled into himself he won't speak to anyone since the anniliator killed his family.Grant calls one of his agent Gray to keep Cressy safe. Gray only witnessed the end of the attack on Cressy he still doesn't understand everything but he wants to keep Cressy safe.there are so many twists an turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by thus multi talented author. al
Insanity by Dale Mayer Pysic Visions Series Book Twenty-Four Dr. Cresswell “Cressy” Simmons has been on sabbatical for six months after a patient attacked her…physically and psychically. Unlike Dr. Maddy, who works on physical health with her unique gift, Cressy worked on the minds. Only this patient was strong. She’d almost died. Now that she’s returned, everything has changed at the center, and it feels very off. FBI Agent Gray Burnett had been with Cressy after she’d been attacked. He didn’t understand this woo-woo stuff, but here he was to help her again. A young boy in that hospital needs Cressy to find out who killed his family. Gray needs to protect the boy but also wants to protect her. Unique series with interesting characters. Every story in this series is new and exciting. **Mild sexual content and language https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
I have loved this series from the beginning but sometimes some of the books have too much detail about subject. In this book there was retailing of information that was already told and the person acting as if they never heard it. Then the most glaring and unacceptable was that Grant Summers in this book who was the MMC in book 2 before Maddy’s book never mentioning his own love interest who was psychic as well. He acted like he was only connected thru Dr. Maddy. This is disappointing. It won’t stop me from still automatically saving anything Ms. Mayer writes though. Sometimes the stories are good. I just wish she would not over detail things like all the mental health stuff etc. I do like some details but there was too much that was restated over and over… I also have to say that Cressy was a bit of a bitch sometimes. Also in future if we could get more love interest chemistry for the lead characters that would be great. I had to give this two and a half stars. Not three though.
Once again in this series comes a story that truelly stretches a readers mind, it's complicated, intriguing and mysterious. It held my focus and probably gave me as many more questions as it answered, I believe in abilities and that they do exist but to think of them on this level is pretty worrying. Wonderful characters and even before the main two connect completely I certainly sensed it building and knew it was going to be a joining of souls once it happened. There was a lot of depth to this plot, lots of avenues to think about and some suspense, a few twists one especially I didn't expect. I do love that everything got tied together at the end so nothing was left hanging in the ether, that would have thoroughly bugged me with this. It's mind boggling reading but somehow I really love these books and how they make me think. Splendid reading.
I loved reading Insanity . This psychic thriller is off the charts . It's intense and intriguing and suspenseful . This book #24 of the Psychic Visions is as suspenseful as it is scary, and keeps your attention throughout. Dr Cresswell Simmons is a doctor at a Psychiatric Hospital and she specializes in psychic trauma. She has been requested to help a traumatized boy and the FBI wanting information from this boy has sent Gray Bennett to oversee the situation. Cressy is just returning from a leave due to a traumatic issue with a patient and Gray has seen this too so they make an interesting pair working together. Their journey together is intriguing with just the right amount of twists and turns to keep you up at night reading. A bit stressful and creepy, yet the characters make you want to know what happens. Difficult to put down and satisfying.

Cressy tips Gray's world on its head, she opens his eyes to things he never even wanted to imagine were possible, but seeing and hearing with his own eyes and ears leaves him in no doubt. Even if he struggles to process it. He has a need to be close to Cressy that he cannot explain, he needs to protect her, defend her and care for her...something he has never felt and doesn't understand, but he accepts it is coming from a soul deep level and acts accordingly. He sees her as a wounded bird, Grant warns him she is more of a Raptor, again he doesn't believe it until he sees it! It is terrifying to think that anyone can have the control over another's mind to the extent that Cressy is fighting, it haunts both Cressy and Gray, but wouldn't it explain a lot in this world......
When you see what can be done utilizing AI, is it really such a stretch to think that there is an ether, and that people can use energy to communicate with other and heal others? This story took me back to that feeling of "can this really be possible" that I felt when I first started reading this series.
Besides the psychic aspect, there are plenty of other happenings going on in the story - from Dr Cresswell returning to work after a six month leave, to deteriorating conditions at Bishop's Sanatorium to someone trying to push Dr Cresswell out. There were definitely some surprising twists at the end of the story.
This story left my head spinning. Dr Cressy comes back to work after 6 months of emotional healing. There is evil in the sanatorium, only it's not in this realm. Changes were made when she left, and they were not for the good of the patients. Food, cleanliness and security were some of the issues and she knew she had a fight on her hands. FBI Agent Gray is by her side most of the way. He needs answers from a child patient regarding his family death, only he won't see what's actually coming!! There were so many layers to this story, from corruption to danger. Well written characters and their stories, I just couldn't put it down.

Dr. Cresswell is back after a very traumatic experience while treating a patient. After taking several months off, she returned to work and was shocked at the horrible decline in the facility and in patient care.
Gray is on light duty after being shot during the same incident Cressy was in and has agreed to keep an eye on her while he is protecting a patient during an investigation.
Can Dr. Cressy figure out how to correct the downturn of the facility and they best way forward with the patients? Can Gray protect the patient and help Dr. Cressy at the same time? Read and find out!
Cressy and Grey have a link due to what went down 6 months ago which led to Cressy taking a "sabbatical" from work, but now she is back at work and Grey needs her help. I really enjoyed how Cressy already had a connection with some of the patients and how passionate and angry she got at the changes not not only them but the place as a whole, throw in the feeling of danger, distrust along with Grey and Cressy getting closer had me up half the night reading this book.

Cressy is very talented at what she does and FBI agent Gray needs her help as she returns to work. However, there is more going on at her work than either of them expected. An exciting race to find out the source of the happenings kept me glued to ebook until the very end. Highly recommend 👌 for those whom love suspenseful mysteries.

I enjoyed Dale Mayer 's 24th Psychic Vision Novel Insanity. Like a theses books they are a crime mystery with Psychic overtures. This book was more on the Psychic level then the crime mystery level. Considering it had a psych. Doctor being attracted by a psych patient on the Psychic play ground. I love all these books and if you like books with a little supernatural in them I suggest you read this series.
I enjoy reading about people who can do physic work. The name of this book fits based on who and what happens now and from the past. The ideas the author has for this series is amazing. There are a few twists I did not see coming.

Wow! I was hooked from the beginning. Just when you think the author couldn't possibly surprise you, she blows you away. I love these characters. We meet new and get to visit old friends. The mystery is intense. This is one series I never get tired of.

Readable, but I personally did not enjoy this one as much as the others in the series. Pinpointing exactly where it didn't gel for me is hard at the moment, so I will ponder on this for a while and come back and edit my review at a later stage. Dale Mayer is one of my favourite authors and I will be reading more of her books.
Wow!! I'd give this novel more stars if I could. What an intense read. Dr. Cressy is back at work, after taking a much needed 6 month sabbatical. Is she welcome or being set up.. The very idea that psychics could use their gifts for dark purposes is terrifying. What a fantastic read.. Wow.. just wow.
I have been provided with a review copy of Insanity from the author via Booksprout for an impartial review. This book was just so easy to get lost in. I completely got lost in the story and I just loved getting to see these new characters come together. I just absolutely love this story and I just didn’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.
This is another wonderful story in the Psychic Visions series, can be read as a standalone story. Well-written with an intriguing and suspenseful storyline, Cressy takes on a case with a young boy that has previously caused some trauma in her life but now she has Grey watching her back. Good Story.
The next thrilling installment in the psychic visions world Stefan and Dr Maddy help a Dr at a sanatorium for the insane or are they just psychic really love these books is it sad I wanna be them already preordered the next one is it June yet ❤️📚♥️
All throughout the book there were too many repeated conversations and each time it was like it was the first time being told between the same characters . The last three books in this series has been like that. Very weird.
I love this author! This series is one of my very favorites. By now, I know the recurring characters, though there are new ones with each book. What great abilities to think about. Looking forward to the next book.
