This book is a collection of books on New York from the Akashic Noir series, so it is collection within a collection like those Russian dolls. The series includes Brooklyn Noir, Bronx Noir, Manhatten Noir, Queens Noir, and Staten Island Noir. The New York City Noir set represents the best writers in the series of American cities, and includes excellent writers like Lawrence Block and Jerome Charyn.
