Review: Daughter of Diamonds by J. Gabriel Gates
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Daughter of Diamonds is yet another phenomenal installment in the Luck Gods series. J. Gabriel Gates continues to raise the bar with each book, delivering a gripping blend of fantasy, mystery, and deep character development that keeps you fully immersed.
I loved how the plot pieces are finally coming together—everything is starting to align, yet the tension keeps building. The mystery/crime-solving angle added a fresh layer of suspense, and Aggie’s arc is one of my favorites in the series. Watching her wrestle with identity, doubts, and growth while slowly stepping into her true self was incredibly rewarding.
Jack continues to evolve in unexpected ways. He’s more morally gray than I anticipated, and it’s fascinating (and emotional) watching him face the fallout of his choices. And Deuce? The ultimate ride-or-die sidekick who had me on edge with worry. The emotional stakes for these characters are high, and I care so deeply about all of them—Molly, Cleo, Junior, Rachel. Each one feels essential to the story.
This book balances action, introspection, heartbreak, and hope with ease. It’s clear the final showdown is coming, and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out. If you’re not reading this series yet—what are you waiting for?
