This book was so freaking good. I am so glad that I read it and I want to shout from the rooftop how much I loved this book. Even though it is shelved as chick-lit, I really enjoyed the romance. The tension is sizzling!

Sexy, protective, ridiculously hot French bad boy undercover agent - check. Hot chemistry - check. Wanted to switch place with Chloe - check.

I will not spoil the plot, it was that good! All I will say is that there was so many great twist and turns and for most of the time I had no idea where we were going.

And the scenery. I am a sucker for books taking place in France and here we got Paris AND ridiculously gorgeous French countryside. I almost booked a ticket straightaway.

I want to put posters up - read this book straightaway! It was everything a good chick-lit and a good romance should be and I will revisit this amazing novel soon.

Straight-laced (read: selfish, boring, emotionally distant) fiancé - check!
Rugged, drop dead gorgeous stranger who is polar opposite of said boyfriend - check!
Ridiculously contrived situations where stranger and heroine must kiss, or embrace closely (usually while scantily clad) to avoid the "bad guys" - double check!
Having to stay in rooms with only one bed - triple check!
Pretending to be in a relationship to make sick and/or dying relative happy - check!

You get the point, pretty much every chick lit cliché a reader could want along with an added dose of just plain annoying. If I had to read one more time how slutty/slinky/sexy/short/skimpy the dress Chloe was stuck in I was going to scream. And seriously, if your shoes hurt that bad, take them off and go barefoot - it can't be any worse that having raw, swollen, blistered feet. Let's also throw in plenty of cheap stereotypes like fat, unhealthy Americans who only eat at McDonald's and thin, sexy French people who only eat stuff raised on their own farm.

Once Chloe discovered she actually had a brain and started doing something, the book got slightly better - but it really was just meh fluff. About what I've come to expect from free Kindle books.

*****Inhale deep breath, sigh******

Yes it was clichéd, but still I smiled through it and that’s the main thing right?
It was also free.
Put bluntly this book was fun to read. I have given it 4 stars not because it is written so fantastically I can't rave enough about it. I've given it 4 stars because it has made me want to go to Paris and drink wine, eat food and find a French man! and also because I like smiling! ^_^

Event Planner Chloe Turner is sent from D.C to Paris a week before wedding for work, It was supposed to be 4 days, last minute thing to fix the event and get home and marry her partner (Paul) of 8 years.
That is until she wakes up in her hotel room with nothing but a skimpy red dress, her underwear, a toothbrush and black high heels. EVERYTHING has been stolen, passport, money, luggage etc by a Con-Man. (Claude)

I won’t ruin the plotline but Julien *sigh* comes into the picture and what follows are:
a series of twists and turns, great scenery, wine, Australian’s, shopping, theft, great food, some laughs, running from the police, wedding crashing as they race through France trying to find Claude and get Chloe back to D.C to marry her “stable” fiancé Paul. Question is after all this adventure, and spontaneity, can she go back to stability and dependable?

I really liked the Prologue, it is a bit epistolary where there is just email after email from Chloe to her boss, from her boss to Chloe, and Chloe’s sisters to each other which gives us an insight to Chloe’s life without having to go over pages and pages and pages of detail about her family.

So to sum it up, if you are after a light and fluffy cliché at times book with a HEA don’t look any further!

I got this eBook when it was available as a free download on Amazon, I had already read and loved Sleeping with Paris, so I jumped at the chance to read this.

I loved the start of the book – emails being sent back and forth was a great way to introduce the storyline and characters, it also gave me a few laughs which I feel is always a good thing to start off with. As the story progressed it allowed me to put my detective hat on (I believe I’d make a good detective…. really) and I tried to figure out what had gone on during that catastrophic night and why.

I found the whole book very exciting, it felt like I was reading an action movie with a bit of romance and laughter thrown in. The breathtaking kisses, chiselled cheekbones and arched eyebrows all added to that feeling of excitement and adventure.

Chloe was a lovely character that I warmed to very quickly, I guess I felt afraid for her too because it must have been scary being in another country and having everything taken from you. I could feel her confusion and shock as everything begins to tumble down around her and she finds herself having to rethink her life and what she wants from it. As for Julien, what can I say other than a part of me fell in love with him and his cheeky, passionate ways!

There were many twists and turns in the story that kept me reading until late at night and lots of funny moments that had me laughing out loud, one part that I particularly enjoyed was the newly wed bus tour, I will say no more but look out for that if you read this eBook.

Further on something is revealed that is either a crazy coincidence, fate or something else entirely. I really loved this part of the story – I didn’t see it coming and it actually gave me chills when I was reading it!

Mystery, action, romance and laughter make this a story not to be missed.

Curiosity lead me to " Kissed in Paris",accidentally reading the content of the book " Sleeping with Paris " on goodreads,my eye caught the part where are also the other books from the author,at the moment this book just found its way to me and I began to read, interesting start of the story, funny moments, and began my journey into this wonderful story :)

The story had my attention,I liked what I read, but had a small part of me who missed it to be completely drawn into the story, and it has changed somewhere around 40-50% of the book and from that moment there was no longer that little reserved part of me,it got lost and all my attention was directed what would be,how will end,I was eager to know more and more.

Juliette Sobanet on a light, delightful way carries us down the beautiful places,as Giverny, Annecy, countryside near by Lion, amazing vineyard,a wonderful journey transferred over to words,it's like you are there.:)

Chloe and Julien are great characters, for whom you cheering up all the time to succeed and to be together :)

This is a beautiful story who will find a way into your heart and stay with you :)

I'm not sure how this book ended on my iPad. I guess free and Paris were the trick.
The more I was reading and the more I was thinking about the movie "French Kiss" with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. This may have been a hommage but it's a little too close to be a coincidence. For example:
- the title itself
- American traveling to France and losing passport and luggage
- 2 con men who know each other
- the friendly cop
- the trip by train to the southern part of France
- the not so nice fiance
- an expensive object stolen that needs to be recovered to save the family vineyard
- the family diner at the vineyard
- ....

If you're in this kind of novel, this is a pleasant read. If not, simply go enjoy Annecy, it's truly a beautiful gem in the French Alps.

And BOOM! Juliette does it again! Once again she made me fall in love with her characters and writing, not to mention the french hottie all of you will love.

*pause*

This is not the best way to start a review? Excuse me? Have you ever read a book you thoroughly enjoyed? YES? Have you ever felt so immersed in a story you actually thought you're one of the characters? You have? Have you felt so so sad once you've finished it and were craving for more? Aha! Then my friends, you completely understand me.

But then, you also understand my fears that my review is not gonna be good enough, that I won't appear eloquent enough to express just how much I loved this book.

However, I'm gonna try, I really will try hard. So here we go..

Juliette Sobanet won my heart and became one of my favorite authors after I read her debut 'Sleeping with Paris' 2 years ago. It took her just one book to get on that list, and mind you, I'm not someone who gives 5* easily or uses the word 'favorite' that often. When I was given this book for a review, of course I was thrilled but nervous too, because I really had high expectations and I definitely wasn't ready for a disappointment. Now, after reading it, I can only say this one is even better than her debut (and am really sorry I can't give it more than 5 stars).

Chloe is getting married in a week, but her boss from hell tells her she needs to go to Paris on a business trip to back her up because she's sick. Of course, Chloe feels like she doesn't have a choice, she loves her job as an event planner and she's absolutely sure she's gonna be laid off if she doesn't go to Paris. It's just couple of days actually, and she'd still have enough time to get home in time for the wedding (and before her family and fiance strangle each other).
But all does NOT go to plan. What's supposed to be a very brief stay and easy task turns into an international incident (well kind of). Police and agents get involved too. Lots of running, chasing, action and of course ROMANCE. Chloe thinks she only lost her passport and money in Paris, but could it be she's also losing her mind over absolutely yummy and charming Julien?

I think I said more than enough about the plot to get your interest. It's fast paced and I promise you won't be bored even for a minute. I kept flipping through the pages intrigued to find out what will happen next. Is Chloe gonna ever leave Paris? Will they arrest her? Will she make it to her own wedding? Lots of action and twist and turns you won't expect.

Chloe is such a lovable character. I could feel all her insecurities, her dilemmas, her fears. I cheered for her, I wanted her to have her HEA because she really deserved it. To be quite honest, I really can't say if I liked Chloe or Julien more. Julien is an amazing guy, someone everyone would drool over. He's protective (in a good way), caring, funny, gorgeous...AND FRENCH! I shall quote Juliette here "Seems that French man are a different bread!"

As much as I loved the romance part I admit I was literally blown away by the friendship between Chloe's mother and Magali from Paris and their history. I totally didn't expect to cry, but I did. It's a fantastic story within a story, giving the book a completely new dimension and depth.

It really is a page turner and am wholeheartedly recommending it to anyone! You'll love it I'm sure.

This was a complete impulse buy for me based off of the blurb alone.

I should also point out immediately that this book falls in neither a genre I like, nor a writing style I enjoy (I grabbed it before I was aware of either), yet the author was able to create a story that kept me interested enough to finish out the book.

This is the story of Chloe, an American woman sent to Paris for her job, who while there, ends up getting robbed. To make matters worse, she's supposed to be getting married within a week's time, but due to circumstances surrounding the robbery, she can't tell her fiance the whole story.

In walks Julien. A handsome Frenchman who insists he can help Chloe recover her passport and engagement ring without the help of the police. From there the adventure begins.

The author takes the protagonists on a extensive trip throughout France (which clearly she knows first-hand or has done her research on), always chasing the allusive Frenchman that has deceived Chloe and taken ALL of her belongings – clothes included. As the hero and heroine traipse through the quaint towns and countryside, they start to 'like' one another, which makes Chloe inadvertently question her relationship with her fiance, which doesn't seem to be so solid in the first place.

The looming and approaching wedding is always an external conflict for both the protagonists together and the heroine, personally. With the focus being on the heroine by the use of first-person POV from Chloe's perspective, I obviously wasn't gifted a glimpse into what the hero was thinking with all the craziness going on and Chloe's stiff, rude, and somewhat naive personality.

I was not a fan of the heroine at the beginning of the story, but by the end she seemed to loosen up enough to start taking in the circumstances and evaluating her relationship with her fiance, rather than always be so rudely stubborn.

The plot was reminiscent of at least one movie I've seen, but can't seem to remember the name of. And the ending was ... odd?

However, with all that being said, the author makes my personal qualms take a side seat throughout the book. Clearly she kept my interest, with great pace and enough intrigue to keep me flipping the pages and actually finish it.

Despite, however, some of my own personal issues, I have to say that the author must have done a good job to hold and keep my interest in a genre and writing style that does not appeal to me. And, surprising even to myself, I think I would pick up and read the stand-alone book prior to this one: Sleeping with Paris.

This was a cute and romantic read with very little heat. A lot of sexual tension is present, but no sex.

Recommend: If you're a chick-lit fan, enjoy books written from a first-person POV of the heroine, want to 'see' more of the French countryside, enjoy chasing an allusive bad-guy while in the presence of a laid-back, sexy Frenchman with his own secrets, and aren't looking to be scorched with sexual heat, then this may be the book for you!

Chloe Turner is event planer, she is very organized person and everything in her life must be perfect she even organized everything in her close family, her sisters and her father. But…
Her wedding is about one week, but she must go in Paris on a business trip.
On the day when she had to back home she reveals that her passport, engagement ring and her all baggage is stolen and she wears red, inappropriate dress. Dressed in that provocative, dress on high heels suddenly she becomes a fugitive from the police
Chloe ‘s life is in a mess, until she trying to remember what is happen and who is doing that to her, she meet Julien. He is most gorgeous man and he rescue Chloe from the police. Chloe and Julien going to the journey across the France to find Claude, the man who is professional con. They start from Paris, and then they go to the Giverny, where Claude Monet paint his famous painting the beautiful water lily pond and bridge .Then they go to countryside near by Lion, on the most amazing vineyard owned by the Julien’s family. The vineyard most amazing “picture” of countryside and two silhouettes, lips to lips, hands to hands, two souls in one that take my breath.
Juliette vividly reflects regions which the main characters pass and I enjoy reading this descriptions. Through the all book I sense the magic of France and the magic of love.
There is a much of action and there is more vivid twists than in first book of Juliette Sobanet “Sleeping with Paris”. I like when Julian and Chloe burst in boat where Charlotte and Luc has a wedding party. Yes, precisely those Charlotte and Luc from ”Sleeping with Paris”.

Oh Wow this was a really fun adventerous read. I stayed up all night to complete it, it was soo doggone good! I think in my very younger years I could easily relate to poor Chloe waking up not exactly remembering what in the heck happened the night before. Been there done that! So yep I totally knew that feeling. (Good grief I hope my mom's not reading this) LOL

But yeah if your looking for a fun, adventure filled romance this is it! At first I wasn't so sure I was gonna like it because as it opens it is a series of notes between sisters about Chloe's upcoming wedding and I was so hoping the whole book was not going to follow in that pace or I may not have continued on but thank goodness it was just a neat way to open up what was going on up to this point and once the actual trip to Paris came into play the fun began!

Too mushy. Thankfully no graphic details though. Plot was the same throughout book: "I want to leave!" "You can't." "But why?" "Trust me. You just can't." Repeat those four sentences over and over and you've just finished the book.

Chloe wakes up in a Paris hotel with all her possessions stolen and almost no memory of how it happened. It's a week before her wedding back in DC, and now she's being investigated for fraudulent activities on her banking account. When a gorgeous french man says he's working with the government and will help her get her passport back and catch the man who stole them, she grudgingly agrees to go along with him on a race around France. Neither of them expected to end up liking one another, let along falling in love.

A cute, sweet book. Being a Washingtonian, I wished more of it had been set in this city, but I did appreciate the shout-out to a good restaurant on the DC/MD line. Clearly the author knows the area. I can only assume the same can be said of France as there was much detail and affection in the descriptions of the country. The book makes me want to go to France and visit Giverny, drink some wine and relax. This is a fun read - particularly good beach read since it's set in the summer.

Free from Amazon.

This book was cute but be warned it has language.

Chloe discovers that she has been robbed and finds herself rescued by Claude. He agrees to help her get her things back and back to the states. Their adventure together is hilarious and fun.

I liked this book. The things they go through together are very creative. I laughed out loud several times while reading this book. The author does a great job in laying out the landscape. I have never been to France but it was nice to imagine it from this book.

I also enjoyed the romance and mystery of who did Chloe wrong and how Claude plans to fix everything. It was also entertaining to find out who Claude really is.

Overall, this is a great chick flick book with a ton of adventure and humor added in. The book does drop the F bomb quite a bit, which was unexpected for me in this type of book. It was too bad the author chose to swear because I think she could have reached a larger audience had she edited the content down a bit.

Content: F bomb and sex (but not overly dirty)

After reading Juliette Sobanet's Sleeping with Paris, I couldn't wait to start Kissed in Paris. I was in need of a France fix this week so started it this week. Well, I wasn't disappointed.

Up-tight, event-planner Chloe Turner's life is turned upside down when she takes her boss's place at the last minute for a trip to a convention in Paris where after a drink with a stranger at the bar, she wakes the next morning to discover all her things have been stolen. Enter hot undercover agent, Julien Dubois, and the fun begins as he takes her from Paris, through Annency, Giverney and Lyon trying to get her things back.

Chloe is under a time constraint because she's due to marry her stable fiance, Paul, at the end of the week.

Juliette's rich descriptions of the scenery, and smells immediately put me in France. I can't wait for her next book.

Juliette Sobanet has literally become one of my most favorite authors of 2012!
After reading her first book, "Sleeping with Paris" I had to read her next one. I was not
disappointed at all! She had me engaged from the first paragraph and it never stopped until the very
end.
One of the welcome surprises was, this was not a sequel but a completely different story altogether.
I admire her ability to make me see, Paris and the French countryside in such clarity. Never do I ever struggle
to understand, who is who or what is what. Such simple story telling and yet, brilliant plot twists, that do not fail.

If you have read, Sleeping with Paris, then treat yourself to, Kissed In Paris!
5 stars without a doubt!

Never stop writing, Juliette!

It was total crap. There is no way a person can suspend belief enough to think that an adult woman who had everything stolen would a) not trust the police, b)trust a man who told her not to trust the police and c) not tell her fiance everything. Also, the first thing any nearly sane woman would do having done a, b and c is to demand new clothing. She would NEVER have run around in a short red dress and heels. Seriously. That said, I did read it to the end...

Romantico, leggero e divertente.

Consigliatissimo!

3.5 stars. Overall enjoyed the story, even though Chloe was very annoying at the beginning of the book. Once she got it together the story improved. Lots of chick flick cliches, but the images of Paris, Annecy and the vineyard sucked me in. I loved the scene with Julien’s family dinner at the vineyard as well as Chloe finally realizing important things about herself. Quick, easy, and fun read.

Pretend anything is possible and let yourself be fully consumed with a Hallmark mystery turned romance. The story progresses well with the main characters drawing the reader in to make this one a quick, easy read.
