Chasing Rain
Averi Rain has always been in love with one man.
The problem is he’s always loved everyone else.
Ian O’Neal has been known for his reputation with the ladies and has never really cared about any of them for longer than a one-night stand. He’s known Averi since they were both in high school and had always harmlessly flirted with her, never really seeing her for the woman she’s become.

Very sweet book about a young woman Averi Rain and the man that she's been in love with, Ian O'Neal, but he doesn't know it.
Ian and Averi have known each other since high school and Ian has a reputation for being a ladies man.
Averi believing that Ian will never commit to just one woman decides to start dating another man, Alex but there are some things going on with Alex that Averi's not aware of.
Ian and Averi find themselves in a position in which they have to spend more time together and both find out all is not as it seems. Something happens that turns Averi's world upside down, can she count on Alex or is Ian the one to help her pick up the pieces, I'm not telling :)
I really loved this book, very sweet, full of drama and also very funny. You will also love a character called Tiny, that's all I'm saying about that.

Chasing Rain is the second book in this series and is truly a great continuation from the first one, Secrets of a Hart. It dives into the lives of the first books secondary characters, Averi and Ian. In book one I feel in love with Tristan, Ian's older brother. Before even getting halfway through with Chasing Rain, I completely forgot about my love for Tristan because Ian just stole my heart! The relationship that develops in this book is so beautiful and real to me. To me it was very realistic and I love that in a book. When you can relate in any way, it makes for a great read. The way the author ended Chasing Rain was absolutely perfect and put a huge smile on my face. I could feel the love that Averi and Ian had for each other because the author really painted a picture with her words. Great job Elizabeth! I recommend all romance readers out there to read this series, especially if you love a series that does NOT have cliffhanger endings!!

Chasing Rain is the 2nd installment in the Romance of the Boardwalk series. This story follows Ian and Averi as they discover and come to terms with their feelings for one another. After making a bet with Tristan Ian wins the rights to Kendall's apartment, but what they don't know is Kendall already promised it to Averi. Being the adults they are they decide they can share until one of them finds other arrangements. Here starts the mischief. Averi and Ian have always had a love hate relationship... they love to hate each other :). They are constantly bickering and picking on each other and it's so funny to watch it unfold. One of my favorite characters in the story is Averi's dog, Tiny, he's just precious and reminds me of my own pup! This book is a light romance. If you are looking for something sweet and romantic without the erotica then you will love all of the books by Elizabeth James.

This is my favorite book by Elizabeth James. I loved Ian and Averi. Ian is the ultimate ladies man. He can any lady he wants except the one who won't give him the time of day. Averi is the cutest thing ever and does the best henna tats. Averi is forced to make huge life decisions in this story and has to find out which path is right for her. Will she choose the path that is safe and straight as an arrow or will she go for the one that never stays straight and is full of pot holes. I personally know which one I want her to choose but you will have to read it it decide for yourself.

I am not a romance reader, but I get my 'awwwwww' fix from Elizabeth James each and every time. I adore Averi and there were times when I wanted to throttle both her and Ian but that is what makes a phenomenal love story. The last line of the book absolutely made me crack up. It ended on a perfect note. I am forever a fan of Elizabeth James.

'Chasing Rain' is book 2 of the Boardwalk Series. This is the story of Ian and Averi. I loved this story. Excellent follow up to 'Secrets of a Hart'. Another enjoyable read from Elizabeth James.

Ok......more of mature YA.......storyline was ok....I just didn't really connect to the whole, but others might like it
