Normandie Alleman
One day Normandie saw an interview with author Stephanie Meyer, in which Stephanie said that idea for her book, Twilight, came to her in a dream. Normandie determined that she needed to write down her next really good dream. Little did she know that vow would lead her to a career writing erotic fiction.
A former psychologist, Normandie has always been fascinated by human behavior. She loves writing quirky characters that are all too human. “I’m interested in the kind of relationships people have in real life. So I write about my characters’ messy, unpredictable, and inexplicable journeys to love.”
If there were another 5 hours in the day, Normandie would spend more time needle-pointing and playing with photography. Instead, she’s a Pinterest addict and sports junkie who’s crazy for Twitter and the color pink. She lives with a passel of children, her hunky husband, and a pet pig who loves Red Bull.
Ashley is Roger's live-in sub and she adores every moment with him. She feels frustrated when Roger asks her to learn to cook. Filled with nerves and worry she knows a sub's job is to make her Master happy.
Disaster after disaster strike until Ashley tries to get sneaky. She is pushed to her limits when every attempt fails and she feels like she has failed as well. Will she please Roger or get punished?
I felt like Normandie Alleman wrote this just for me. I laughed at Ashley seeing my own reflection in her. I was in tears from laughing so hard. Subterfudge is a story in its own; full of humor and sex, Subterfudge will keep you going till the end.
Description: Dreanna, called the Wildling, has travelled over the most dangerous lands in the Ten Kingdoms. She has survived the Glass Tundra and the Broken Mountains. She has bested monsters that would make a seasoned adventurer turn white with fear. On her return from battle with the Dragon Knight, she flees from her companions rather than admit that she desires the enchantress Kallyria. Returning to the forests and the wilderness she sees as her home, she comes across a statue of a beautiful naked man. Dreanna's actions under the quiet leaves of the midnight forest will break an ancient curse and set in motion a chain of events that will forever change the course of her life. This erotic story features very explicit sexual situations, and is for adult (18+ or 21+ depending on location) readers only. My Review: This story catches you right from the start. A story about Dreanna a wilding of the forest. This is an adult book and over 18 is recommended. She is escorting a group with a mage through the woods. She becomes attracted to her and watches as the mage uses her powers to create her own personal lover from the flames of a campfire.
After sneaking away from the mage she finds herself alone in the woods where she finds a statue overgrown with vines. She out that this statue has been cursed and is actually a living man. He has no idea how long he has been cursed but tells her the tale of what happened the day he became stone. He tells her about his betrothed that he was showing countryside to.
"Melody was beautiful - that is not in any doubt - but the sight of her delicate features, her shining hair, her willowy form, raised in anger against me... I suddenly realised the spirit that was in her, and I knew then that I would never feel for anyone as I felt for Melody."
They begin a quest to find his home, his love, and the one who cursed him. That is where it ends and it killed me!! I can't wait to read about these two and can imagine the trouble they get into. It's a sexy tale of curses and magic that shouldn't be missed.

Tuesday, April 8, 2014 Loving a Thief (The Maxwell Series)
I am the daughter of a thief, I know all of the signs to watch for, so when I met Damian all the warning bells go off. Damian is everything that I told myself that I didn’t want, and I’m not what he wants. I make sure he believes that. I refuse to be like my mother loving a man that will never love me for who I am, so I stay away from him, hiding behind my alter ego is what I do best. I lied about who I am, to him I am Leslie his sister in laws Cassie’s best friend. If he only knew... I’m a thief. Well, that’s what Leslie calls me. I love women, I don’t want a love that consumes me, that makes me do crazy things. So I am looking for a wife one that is quiet, compliant and well connected. I don’t want a wife that invades my heart, only that looks good on my arm. So why is it that Leslie, the opposite of that, is the woman that invades my dreams? She is loud, crazy and drop dead gorgeous. I crave her, but she doesn’t fit into my plans. So I watch her from afar, stealing time with her when I can, and searching for a woman that I can tolerate, not love.
One night changes it all, a chance meeting in an unlikely place changes them forever. Makes them look long and hard at who they are, and who they think they want to be. Through this journey they learn that love can’t be measured by time, or distance or death. To love is to steal the present and the future
My Review: While I enjoyed the story Loving a Thief, I found that I just could not connect with the characters. The first part of the story just seemed rushed to me. I was confused on the character Ari, until I realized that she was pretending to be three different people. This would lead you to think that she has MPD.
Once the story made it past the first part, it smoothed over, but once again got a little confusing at point. I loved that these characters realized their instant attraction and eventually acted on it. They were able to overcome certain preconceived notions that they had about each other.
I give this story 3 out of 5 stars. It is definitely worth a read. Posted by Deborah Bean at 10:09 PM No comments: Email This BlogThis! Share to Twitter Share to Facebook Share to Pinterest

My review: Subterfudge is the hilarious story of Ashley and her master Roger. Roger wants Ashley to cook for him. Ashley, loves to please her master and agrees. Sounds easy enough, but Ashley is a disaster in the kitchen.
The bedroom however is a different story. Roger punishes Ashley at every failed attempt at cooking. But, punishment of the sweetest kind. Ashley and Roger are perfectly suited, and the love and respect they have for each other is evident throughout this funny story.
Beautifully written, it gives a lovely snapshot into the lives of this Dom and his sweet, sweet sub. I really enjoyed this, Ashley is a little minx and her capers in the kitchen, and her efforts to fool Roger into believing that her bought food is actually her own cooking are brilliant.
This is a delicious and easy read that will keep you smiling long after.
This was another short story from Normandie and I couldn't get bloody enough of it, I was glued to it like a dog on heat lol (I know, funny way of describing myself..) but it's true. This little number was a pure beauty!! It was packed solid and that's why it was such a page turner it was funny, witty, sexy as hell and a perfect eye opener for what a submissive is, there role for a D/S relationship but not
We have Master Roger who only asked his sub Ashley to learn how to cook for him which is not really an impossible task to learn really is it? But for our Sub Ashley it really is impossible, everything she tries is a complete bust and I mean EVERYTHING... So she continues to try and bless her she really does put her heart in most of them but nothing gives, so she thinks she's doing the smart thing and carrying on getting take out which is the norm for them but it's never good to cut corners or beat around the bush as Ashley learns...
The nitty gritty is bloody wicked in this and found all the punishments quite enjoyable even the children's blocks they made me laugh and kinda wanted me to be bad so my Mistress punished me like that lol...
The sex is intense and crude but I loved it in every way and made me want more, loads 'n' loads more lol... ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Really fun little story, as a fellow non-cooker I was laughing along with Ashley's trick!! But that is not a trick to play on a Dom, unless you are looking for punishment!!
Yummy little bit of steam packed into this short book. Oh good lord, food and sex is a decadent combo.
The story here is kind of on the thin and predictable side, still it was entertaining. The characters are engaging and surprisingly well developed a short time span. Not my fav kind of BDSM theme but a great read regardless.
*Disclosure - I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions and ratings are my own.*
~3.5 Stars~ This was a good quick read. I liked Ashley. She wanted to please her Dom which is always good in a sub. But I thought she could have at least tried to attempt to go to the cooking class or maybe go to another class. She wasn’t much of a cooker but she didn’t make much of an effort. She should have been honest from the get go. I liked Roger but he wasn’t my ideal Dom. He was a little soft with Ashley. I liked that he wanted to try and make their home life better. Though I didn’t think he should have punished her because she wasn’t a good cook, not everyone can be good at everything. Communication would have helped these two a lot lol.
All in all Subterfudge is a good read. It has some steamy sex scenes. My favorite was the caramel scene. lol I liked the punishment he gave because I haven’t seen that. It was very original and refreshing. I would have liked to see a punishment scene after she lied to him because it would have given me as a reader more closer.
When a submissive deceives her Dom, she may get a warming on her ass. Ashley makes the mistake of pretending to cook the food she's serving her Dom, Roger. Uh oh. Not good! This is a problem because when he finds out...she's in big trouble.
This story is cute. The plot is simple and easy to see happening in real life, BDSM or no BDSM. People love to be praised and appreciated. Ashley falls into this trap too easily when she takes credit for something she didn't do. Ms. Alleman does a good job show how a person could get themselves into this situation. It's funny to witness Ashley's failed attempts. I can sympathize with Ashley because my first year of marriage was very rough. I could not cook and my poor spouse had to suffer through all my burned dishes. Or my over cooked yet under cooked dishes. How the hell does a person do this? I have no idea but I've done it. Luckily, my spouse stuck it out with me and a year later, the food I prepared was at least edible. If I could have affording buying pre-made food, I might have done what Ashley did.
All I can say is that cooking is a skill set that is underrated. It's not easy. Ms. Alleman shows it in a humours way with a dash of sexy. Recommended for contemporary romance lovers who have a good sense of humour.
