Oh my! This book was HOT. A curvy, vivacious woman and two incredibly sexy vampire personal trainers… sign me up! Melanie becomes a member of a fitness center and is given a personal workout regimen with Alec and Rook – who just happen to be vampires. Alec and Rook have waited lifetimes for the perfect woman to spend their lives with, and when they meet Melanie, it’s more than just an attraction – they’ve met their match. But they have to convince her that she’s worth giving up a million lifetimes for and that they truly do love her.

From start to finish, this book is full of some incredibly erotic ménage scenes. Melanie, Alec and Rook are a perfect combination of sexy. Their intimate moments are so steamy and their relationship, while arousingly physical, is very romantic and emotional as well. It has it’s moments of wit and charm, and the paranormal aspect of the story makes their relationship much more meaningful that it would have been without it.

After reading Dying to Love her, I can honestly say that I wish I were Melanie, and Alec and Rook were working ME out with their unique talents. Bravo, Dana Lorraine, bravo.

Wow sexy as hell vamps and sex workouts... yeh I likey ...you know how many satisfied women there would be in the world! oh yeh and men too (wink wink) I like Melanie's character she's alone in the world just having lost her family and in her opinion needs to shed some pounds, she wants to be sexy and attractive. Alec and Rook oh my gosh sexy as hell, rock hard muscles and other things ...and what a unique twist on mates and taking blood and love. Very sexy and great characters, a lot of sex and teasing. Wish it was longer, really short but it packed one hell of a punch. 4 stars review by upallnightreadallday.blogspot.com

Please madame can I have some more?!? I would really like to read more about these characters and the way their lives have changed since their transitions.

The characters are very likable even if the passion between them was a touch to quick to be realistic but then again we are dealing with Vampires and we all know how glamours work ... sneaky seductive morsels.

I really wanted to love this story. The description sounded like something I would like. What I discovered was that you can't judge a book by it's cover or description. The premise is just so silly that I couldn't fully connect with it. I struggled almost from the beginning.

Melanie wants to lose weight so she can attend a wedding. She goes to a top secret weight loss center because she has heard that they offer crazy, amazing weight loss. As she enters the weight loss center, a hot man in a limo rolls down his window and makes a pass at her. She is flattered but she doesn't believe it because she is over weight. Ok, while I didn't fully connect with the setup, I was hopeful that it was heading somewhere. Where it went made me slap myself in the forehead.

You see, these aren't your everyday sparkly vampires. I'm not even going to try to explain it all here. Basically, the vampires don't want to live forever. They need to find their one true mate to make them human. Lucky girl, Melanie, is one of those mates. How ever did the vampires figure it out? Well, they ran a full blood panel and genetic test on her to determine which vampire(s) would be perfect with her. You see, she can't fight her genetics. She WILL love a vampire. And apparently, act like a total whore. I still don't understand why she made the decisions she made. Or why she jumped in bed with either of them, let alone both.

Here's the thing, Rook and Alec (yes, vampires) decided years ago to get a mate together. Why? They don't love each other. They could each take a separate mate. They don't NEED each other to become human again. So why mate together? To add to my confusion, they have shown incredible control by not taking other women that could have been their mate. They decided to wait for the perfect fit. So what happened to all of that self control? It ran down the street and caught a cab across town. As it turns out, once bitten by a vampire, you only have three days to complete the ceremony or bad things occur. Sigh. Just sigh. I can't bring myself to continue.

I would recommend this book if you like vampires.

DYING TO LOVE HER explores a nontraditional view of love in the vampire world and what sacrifices people are willing to make in the name of love.

Melanie thought she was a little overweight so she decided to join a gym. Empriva Fitness had an amazing reputation with guaranteed results. What she didn't know is that the rapid weight loss experienced by clients of Empriva Fitness is the result of a special enzyme that increases metabolism--and that this enzyme is created by a vampire's bite. Melanie doesn't mind so much because the bite feels good and the two men, or vampires, who want to bite her are gorgeous.

Of course biting isn't the only part of the weight loss plan; there also has to be sex. Again, Melanie is willing to make whatever "sacrifices" she must to lose some weight. But Alec and Rook, the owners of Empriva Fitness, are keeping a secret from Melanie--she is the key to their humanity. Now that they have found Melanie they have a limited amount of time to get her to understand everything that is happening and accept them both into her life.

For me, this book was fun above all else. Melanie is thrown into this crazy situation and given all of this unbelievable information in a very short period of time. In her mind she is so focused on losing weight that she isn't able to process some of the heavier information being given to her. Alec and Rook want to make her a permanent fixture in their lives and she is worried that if they stop biting her she won't lose weight. There is a great deal of humor that arises from the misunderstandings, the time crunch, the sometimes too straightforward approach of Rook, and the instant and unexplainable sexual attraction.

The dynamic and differing personalities between Rook and Alec were also a complete pleasure to read. While there were some serious elements thrown in--Rook and Alec's existence depends on their ability to connect with Melanie--this book was mostly light and a complete joy to read.

~3.5 HEARTS~
It went in a whole new direction with vampires which was very refreshing. The old myths didn’t really fit in this book. I think that is part of the reason I liked it. It wasn’t the norm. It was unique and completely different from any other vampire books I have read. Plus who doesn’t like a book where a curvy woman gets 2 drop dead gorgeous men.

Melanie wants to lose weight and goes to Empriva Fitness to make it happen. She has to sign a confidentiality form and pay a huge amount but they promise fast results. Then she learns their motto “Suck and fuck” which her hesitant but she did jump in head first. That took someone courage, even more courage when she was afraid of becoming a joke. I liked that she didn’t just bow down to Alec and Rook. She made them work for it.

Alec and Rook are vampires but they can be made back into humans by drinking from their lifemate. I think they should have maybe explained things to Melanie because any sane woman would have ran after hearing a man say “I love you” in the first 48 hours. Lol I also enjoyed their manly bickering as it made it feel real.

The sex scenes in this book were hot and full of sexiness. I felt at times that maybe a break between sessions would have been nice as a reader so I could have seen more couple interaction. The whole book happens in about 48 hours so the time frame is extremely fast.

I have never had much luck sticking to a resolution to lose weight. But, I didn't have two hot and hunky vampire personal trainers that can give spontaneous orgasms with a bite that also releases a magic 'lose weight' enzyme either. Stimulating, fat-burning horizontal workouts and vamp-assisted bathing are included in this enticing package. Sign me up, please! I will be a regular from now on. Melanie wants to lose weight and signs up at Empriva, an exclusive fitness center guaranteed to bring results. Owners/best friends and vampires, Alec and Rook are interested in Melanie but not as a customer. They have discovered she contains the special enzyme in her blood that is compatible with both of them and that will allow her to become their lifemate, altering their physiology from vampire to human so that they may live out the remainder of their days as human with the one that they love. The first bite has been taken. The countdown is on. Forty-eight hours is all they have to convince her that she is theirs and they are hers. This was a fast, fun and sexy ménage read that I really enjoyed. Just what the doctor ordered (or should).

Received through a giveaway.

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
Melanie Woodson enters a gym with the express intent on loosing her "saddlebags" and pudgy belly. She has heard great rumors about the success rate of the trainers at the gym. It is highly secretive, how they achieve success. Little does Melanie know that she has been selected by two hot vampires as a "special project." What exactly does that mean? Well you are just going to have to read the book to find out.
I have a new found love for Ellora's Cave books. This author created a seamless story that was intense, erotic and interesting. There were new elements associated with the vamps that I had not read before. The downfall, some of it seemed a bit fast paced-with regard to the relationships in the book. I have a hard time with knowing someone five minutes and falling into bed with them, regardless how sexy they are. On the plus side, it made for steamy sexual encounters and did not leave me angry with some cliff hanger. Sometimes you need a book to just finish without leaving you hanging. I give this book 4.5 fangs.
