The characters are what make this series fun. They are facing a world that is all about staying the same. There are prejudices that are set and people are having issue with letting go of them. The characters have to face a battle to be with who they want. They must also facing fighting for that same.

The author's writing has improved through this series. The writing is flowing smoother with more believablity. There is a lot of sex in the story but these flow more like a comfort read. These aren't complex, mind-blowing books but are fun and heart warming read.

Ok I have to say this...I love the way Author Grace Lynn brings different species together in unity and equality in this series. I love all 3 books but this book by far was my most favorite. You get a taste of Elves, Vampires, Shifters and many more all-in-one great series. Demend is my favorite character out of all of them because he is a mystery to me in his abilities and just who he is. It will be interesting finding out more about Miles and his not yet revealed abilities.

I really enjoyed this installment in the Guardian City series. The universe created for this series expands a bit to include new species and new characters, as well as including some of the old. It all blended very well. I immediately took a liking to Miles for some reason. The trio had a distinct and complete attachment, both emotionally and sexually, and it just really worked for me.

General overview - solid 4 stars, amazing writing, and so so so hot. Looking forward to the next.
