Diana Hambre's shifter nature is out of control and could cost her job as a graphic designer at Matrix. A year of going it alone since her mate's death has her leopardess mating cycle broiling. To curb her carnal cravings, Diana signs up for an evening at the Downtown Den, unaware that her boss is the owner of this exclusive shifter sex club.
When Shawn Barclay stalks through the doorway, it's mayhem in the making. As owner of Matrix, Shawn has ignored his primal instinct to claim Diana as his mate. With his Zen training, he keeps a tight rein on his desire for the leopardess. But when she's collared upstairs at the Den, he refuses to let another shifter near her.
He offers to be the Dom for the evening, taming her unchecked urges into submission. Diana agrees and what transpires lasts longer than a night. In opening up to Shawn's explosive bedroom skills, Diana taps into her powerful leopardess instinct. So primal, she fears what she may do if left unchecked. Shawn proposes to teach Diana how to harness her alpha power in return for total control over her body.
During a midnight run, Diana confronts a rogue shifter pack and forces Shawn's hand to her backside and what he proposes could last a lifetime. From Denver to Las Vegas, these two are inseparable until his ex-fiancée comes back into the picture with a claim to stake.
Can Diana mix cutting edge graphic art skills with red-hot sex? Difficult when the ultimate alpha shifter might shatter her heart.
Scorching, erotic scenes hot enough to peel paint Adult content. Paranormal romance with erotic elements.
Bestselling author Susan Arden writes high-stakes, pulse-pounding romances filled with heat, tension, and unforgettable passion. Her stories blend realism and raw intimacy, blurring the line between desire and danger.
Readers describe her writing as addictive, cinematic, and hot. Love stories you feel in your bones. Romances that grab the heart, twist tight, and don’t let go.
Susan lives near the Tail of the Dragon in East TN. She loves iced coffee, imagining impossible situations, and chocolate cake.
If you love a dirty-talking cowboy, you've come to the right ranch!
I can, and will say, that the author tried. I can't honestly add much more. The text was full of litter (part of words left there) and the writing itself at times seemed off to me. (Like, what is the point or what is she trying to say? All the training is a good example.)
This is labelled as erotica, so the sex-to-story ratio is high. But I admit that in the field this ratio is usually much higher. So kudos for it :) As erotica, though, plot and world-building are not high in the list of priorities. I found some points a mystery (like why all of a sudden she becomes insecure? Or how an alpha can submit? Why the emphasis on her past if you then don't talk about it?) I also admit that none of the scenes of "submission" sounded right to my ear (but clearly this is purely personal).
This is on the November Amazon Deals. I would have preferred if it was marketed as self-pub. (In theory it's not. It could be a vanity press, which is the same thing.) I might have decided not to buy it or I would have been less irked by the constant litter left in the pages.
If you decide to go for it, note that the sample is a good set for the book. Rather than hooking you, it leaves you dry. (For an erotica book, it's not such a good idea.)
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 unicorns - I loved it! ** Received ebook as part of a blog tour for an honest review.
I love the cover especially the kitty with the big beautiful eyes :)
Ok first things first, a majority of this book is very steamy erotic scenes, so if that’s not your thing, then you may not want to read this book. There is definitely a story to go with it, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is the first time I’ve read anything by Susan Arden, but after looking at the cover and the blurb I knew it was something I’d enjoy. Her writing style makes it easy to visualize everything that is happening and be sucked into the characters’ lives. Diana is trying to make her way in the world as a lone woman trying to control her leopardess half after personal tragedy. She is a strong woman who does not like to admit she needs help, and she keeps people at arm’s length. Shawn is a confident alpha who is a bachelor after being burned before with no plans for that changing ever. Their story is awesome.
Only thing that I wish there was more of was their families. I almost wonder if there will be another book involving meeting both of their families & closure which would rock, and I would definitely read it. However, I have seen no indication of this being a series.
I loved this book and highly recommend it to paranormal romance lovers who like it steamy and hot.
I was given this book by the author and asked if I could review it so here we go! This is the story about a shapeshifter Diana who is trying to find someone to help her in a critical time of her life. And a shapeshifter named Shawn who is a alpha he is consumed by her and her by him! It is very hot and very steamy!!! They each have things in their past that make the romance challenging. I dont want to give to much away but its a great read and i know u will like it! Definitely not for anyone under 18! I just hope that there's more to come. The author was very detailed in her writing which is always a plus!!

First of all I must say that the cover of this title is what first drew my attention and then when I read the blurb I was further intrigued. As a result when the opportunity arose for me to read and review this title I was very enthused. However, my enthusiasm got shot to the ground after the first few chapters. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that the story was not good it was just not what I was expecting. To be honest, I don’t mind reading about sex in romance stories as I believe it adds spice but when it practically dominates the entire story that’s where I draw the line. I know this is an erotic romance, but frankly I was expecting a bit more substance. It moved very slowly. It was not until the about the last four chapters that the story started to get exciting.
The sex scenes were definitely sizzling. There was some amount of BSDM and anal sex so if you are in to this type of thing then this book is definitely for you.
Although I was disappointed with the story line I have to say that the story was well written. Characters were well developed. I was especially drawn to the female protagonist, Diana Hambre. She is a leopard shifter who has been a widow for some time. She had gotten use to keeping her carnal urges under control on her own. However, lately it had become quite difficult for her and she recognized that she needed help to achieve this task. Little did she know that the place she went to obtain a solution to her problem is owned by her boss, Shawn Barclay. She is a very strong willed person and it was somewhat difficult for her to give up this independence and to submit to Shawn. I liked how she was able to eventually do that and at the same time was able to hold on to her identity. She had no qualms about protecting what was hers.
Overall I found it to be an ok read. It may not have been my favorite read but I would still recommend it as I know everyone’s taste is different.
Once again I'm wondering how I read the same book as all the very positive reviewers. I just got a new kindle and decided to take advantage of the lending library with this book. Bummer on me because i can only get once a month. I dont even think i made it through one chapter because the writing was so absurdedly over the top. Like ok she's in heat and horny I get it we don't need to spend 75% of every page beating the dead horse over and over and over and over and over and...well you get the point. I was also not even a little impressed by the heroine. I get that she's in heat and all but the "oh if someone doesnt service me im gonna jump the next hot guy i see" good lord some willpower please silly me but i want a heroine who is more than just her lady bits. "oh my boss compliments me at work so often i just wanna molest him on the desk" ugh it was just...not sexy to me. I couldnt respect her. The author tried to give her some depth by throwing in a dead mate but it just comes out of the blue and has no emotional impact. And we're just dropped in the middle of the world with 0 explanation which is a huge pet peeve of mine. What that all added up to for me was i knew i wasn't gonna enjoy this and i decided not to waste my precious free time
***UPDATE AS OF 11-3-24*** this book was removed from my device without notice. Apparently this author and Amazon likes to double dip and make customers pay twice for their books. This to me is theft. If there is some new guidelines about the amount of time one can own the copy of a digital content than there is a massive problem coming ahead. Until the time my copy is returned, I will lower my stars to one.
Yeah. I really got into this one. There was a time a got a bit tired of the sex but surprisingly it finally got back to the plot and story. It was still good. A bit different than most. I liked that the female led didn't become clingy. Right from the get go she was like, "that's all good and all, but what happens...." she never quite gave every bit of control over.
The male led was not an alpha male, but then again he was. He was an alpha of his clan but his actions were not alpha style seen in most recent contemporary romance novels. He wasn't abusive in anyway and once he had her, she was it for him.
In all I actually would read this book over and over again so I have zero problems rating this a 5 star.
I received a copy for the tour. I really liked Diana. She had a strength of character that made me connect with her. Her mate had been killed so Diana was attempting to control her shifting urges on her own. She finally reaches the point where she needs help so she seeks help from a stud club that caters to shifters. Unbeknownst to her, the owner is also her boss at the graphic design company she works for. The alpha male that has called to her and left her panting for more. She knows he is to be avoided at all cost because to engage him is to wind up bonded. Shawn has desired Diana for awhile but he also knows that giving in will cost him the best designer he has ever had. When he discovers that Diana is at his club, he knows he has to get rid of her but when he realizes how close to the edge she is, he knows he is the only one that can train her. I love that these two need and want each other. Vegas was a bit of a pain cause there is nothing worse than a vindictive ex. I am a fan of Susan Arden’s and I can’t wait to devour more!
I was given this copy in exchange for an honest review. This is a very steamy book that is bound to get you hot and bothered. It has male Dom, a tad of BDSM, and shapeshifting--OH MY! Who could ask for more? If you are looking for an easy-going book that will take your mind off of reality for the weekend, this is your read.
For days Diana has been burning up. She's right in the middle of her heat cycle and has no fellow leopard shifter to help her with the burn she is feeling. She finds her savior in the form of Downtown Den which is located through her daytime job at Matrix. Little does she know that Downtown Den is co-owned by her boss Shawn. Diana has been attracted for Shawn for a long time, but Shawn has always kept it professional. When he discovers Diana is in his club, he is not happy. So when one of his employees goes up to confront her about the contract she signed that states that she withheld her connection to Matrix, she thinks she's going to kicked out. That is until Shawn gets a whiff of her scent.
Shawn has been unmated and single for a long time. He doesn't want a mate, or a woman that he has to take care of and protect. But the second he gets scent of Diana a fellow Leopard shifter, all those thoughts go out the window and he knows he must possess her for the night. Stepping into the room and locking the door, Shawn and Diana are both barely able to control their urges to shift and mate to one another. They struggle the entire night until Shawn decides to take Diana home and show her some training that she seems to be lacking.
Diana has been single for a year, her husband and mate dead. She's withheld her urge to mate for as long as possible for she cannot resist Shawn and so she follows him home after a night of hot passionate sex. Shawn has also been single for a long time ever since his mate ran off with his cousin and never looked back. For Diana and Shawn their attraction to one another is an easy one. They need one another and are barely able to contain themselves when they touch one another. But will Diana be able to love again after her previous loss? Will Shawn be able to learn to let another into his heart? What happens when an old flame returns to shake up their happiness?
This book was hot a steamy. It was a little different from what I expected based off of the title of the book, but overall it was enjoyable. If you are into paranormal romance and hot scenes with two dominant alphas this will be a book you'll enjoy reading. I enjoyed parts of it, but then again paranormal isn't really my genre and based off the title I just thought it would be a little bit different from what I read. Overall good reads, 4 stars.
***Review Copy received from author in exchange for a honest review***
Paranormal romance has always been a favorite of mine. Collared for a Night is no exception to that. It’s fast, hot, dirty and intense.
Diana is an untrained alpha leopardess. She’s in heat and needs some relief. She contracts with a local club that caters to single shifters in heat and needing relief. What she doesn’t realize is her boss is part owner of this club. He sees red when he finds out she’s there for the night. He decides to take things in his own hands.
Diana’s boss, Shawn, is powerful in his own right. He’s an alpha leopard, on the shifter council, businessman and all around badass. Diana is badass in her own right she just doesn’t know it!
This story is non-stop seduction, sex and domination. Of course, it’s exactly as expected based on the description of the book. The attraction between Diana and Shawn was hot. I love that Diana didn’t just fall at his feet. With her being an alpha leopardess, it fits with her character. It also fit with her to be reserved and cautious. She wasn’t so cautious and reserved that it spoiled the story. It was the right amount.
Shawn was determined to have Diana. He was patient and relentless. He was understanding and played within the boundaries set at the beginning of their liaison, no matter how badly he wanted to break those rules.
There were several things I found interesting in this story. One. Shifters are not unknown to humans. There wasn’t any explanation of how or why, it just was. It worked for this story and I didn’t feel anything missing for it. That wasn’t the focus of the story. Two, because Sean was wearing condoms when he mounted Diana, he couldn’t always tell when her orgasm was coming. I actually found this endearing and realistic. Third, there was some medical/psychological stuff that was a bit out there, but again, it worked for this story. It wasn’t over the top and it worked within the confines of this story.
This was my first story by Susan Arden and I will definitely be checking out more.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
The authors warning...Warning: Erotic scenes hot enough to peel paint...she wasn't kidding!
I love love love shifter stories. And Collared for a Night is no exception. Loved it!
I have always been a fan of paranormal romance. Loving the worlds the authors create. And shifters, a definite favorite. Alpha male, virile, dominant, smexy to the highest power, completely committed to their mates and pack, what's not to love?
The language was lush and smexy. Very swoon worthy. Had me on the edge through out the entire story. And the erotica...blazing kids blazing. But...drove the story line and even gave you some insight on the ways of shifters and how their relationships really work. It is a shifter story and the erotica, dominance, and animal tendencies is a must.
The story line and characterizations, as well as secondary characters...excellent. You really got to know everyone. The characters were completely engaging and well rounded. Totally believable in their passion, feelings, wants, and needs.
Collared for a Night was a smooth and quick read, not easy to put down. The passion Diana and Shawn have for one another was palpable, though both were hesitant because of family history of who they are and their own painful pasts. Much of the story is Diana and Shawn working and sexing through her heat. Discovering who she really is was key to the story, training of her alpha self by Shawn, and their desire for one another. And even with their own hidden fears of completely mating, their need for one another was very real. The story takes an unsuspecting twist when Shawn's past comes back to haunt and destroy then both. That was a definite surprise! Really liked that flip in the story line. The ending was prefect and believable how all was eventually resolved as well as these two finally accepting their desires and needs.
Really a good story and a must for all you shifter fans!
The story starts by leopard shifter, Diana, who has not had a mate for a year since she became a widow. Now she is in fear of shifting since she has been in heat and does not have mate to help her. Diana decides to make an “appointment” at a Downtown Den, specifically for shifters. Only Diana does not know that the Den is co-owned by her boss who is also an alpha leopard. Shawn has had his eye on Diana since she started working for him at his graphic design company, Matrix Design. When he finds out that Diana has made an appointment in his Den, he cannot handle the idea that another male leopard will be helping Diana with her problem. Shawn wants to help her not only in her time of heat, but also to show her all her potential as a leopardess.
Did I feel connected to the characters? Shawn is a very sexy, hot, alpha leopard. I love how protective he is of Diana and that he tried to help her since she was unaware of all the power she had as a leopardess. At first, I was annoyed with Diana analyzing every word that Shawn would say to her. He was trying to make her feel wanted and she took it as him trying to control her. It was frustrating. I wanted to tell her to stop analyzing.
Pace of the story: The first chapter dragged for me. There was a lot of inner dialogue which I thought would carry throughout the book. However, it did not. The story took off after the first chapter. The story switched from Shawn’s to Diana’s POV, which I liked.
Positives: A lot of steam between the two characters. I love that Shawn opened up to Diana immediately about his past. I think him opening up to her about his previous relationship with a woman and the friend made the story more interesting. I always love the potential of an ex coming back. I love that type of drama.
Negatives: Some of the dialogue between the characters felt awkward at first.
Do I recommend? It is steamy paranormal romance.
Book Format Read: A copy was provided by exchange for an honest review.
Overall the book was alright. The lead male character (Shawn) was dominate and controlling while the lead female character (Diana) wasn't a push over but was submissive. The sexually heated scenes were borderline animalistic- a lot of biting and referring to there inner beast coming out. I felt like there was more to Diana's ex Cole or at least there should have been more. The author hinted at a tragic death that traumatized Diana but never went into ant detail or closure. I also felt like Shawn did an unrealistic complete flip on his feelings for Diana. His change in Feelings didn't make sense. The flow of the story was a bit choppy. There were parts where I either had to skim over the text or I would lose interest. I did however finish the book so it wasn't obviously to bad.
This is another one of those books where I feel it would make a fantastic pornography film if only they had the budget for good actors and special effects.
Diana and Shawn have some pretty amazing sex scenes, especially when Diana is at the height of her heat cycle (and ladies, I think we can all agree — we’ve been there, almost crawling up the walls because you have an itch that you just can’t scratch — yeah, we’ll use that analogy.)
I really enjoyed that Diana has more of a back-story than most heroines in this sort of novel would have. She is a widow, and due to running away from her family (because they wouldn’t approve of the match, and they’d want to arrange something) she doesn’t fully understand what she, herself, is capable of. Shawn, of course, has that ho-bag of an ex that comes into the picture at one time or another, but he’s also more complex than most erotic novels would give the character.
Diana is an alpha but she doesn’t really know what that means, and Shawn is going to help her understand that. And also how to control herself when her animal side gets to be too much. I want to see if there will be more books in this series (as far as I know, it isn’t an actual series just yet), as there are some various secondary characters that I’d love to read more about.
For $3.82 currently on amazon, you can’t really go wrong for a good erotic novel with a deeper story line than you’d expect. So a 3.5 out of 5 from me for entertainment value, character development and some pretty intense sex scenes.
Diana, an alpha female leopard, had made it through her heat cycle for months alone after the loss of her mate but it is becoming too much for her to handle alone. She needs help. Therefore, she turns to Downtown Den a stud club for shifters. Who walks into her room but her boss at Matrix Design. Diana is alone in the world she left her home years before.
Shawn Barclay gives her a choice but to spend the night with him or someone else from the club. Shawn is an alpha male leopard who once tasted Diana now wants to show her everything she did not learn. Shawn did not start out wanting a permanent relationship with anyone after the loss of his almost mate who walked out on him.
The chemistry between Shawn and Diana is blistering hot. The sex scenes were hot and very steamy. I loved how the author intertwined D/s into the story without it overpowering the overall story. In the middle of everything, Diana and Shawn fall in love.
I enjoyed the ending of the book even though it caught me off guard. I did not expect Shawn’s evil ex to pop up. Both Shawna and Diana handled the problems she created with a lot more grace than many.
The author created a wonderful world; it was flushed out very well. I wonder if this is the start of a series. I hope so because I hope that Tristen, Fin, and Santo get their own book. Overall, this was a delightful and compelling book. I am a big fan of paranormal romances and this is one book I would re-read.
Ok so Im baised with my love for shifters!! For me this book rocked! A young girl and a arranged "marriaged" just dont work and she is forced to leave with her young sweetheart. Leaving before learning how to deal with a upcoming future. A Tragic lost and this lady is left to deal with her raging heat alone. Shawn a Alpha and Diane's boss. He has his own ugly past to deal with. But in the club that he owns, He needs to deal with a female shifter in a raging heat that only mind blowing sex can tamp down. (did I mention mind blowing sex?). Diane has no clue that about her sexy boss, besides the fact that her heat cycle makes her want to bump uglies with him. She goes to the club He owns(she didnt know he owned a club that catered to shifters) to find a alpha to help her through her cycle. Bound and determined to make his employee leave his club, right up until he catches her scent. He accepts his royal as her "banger". He accepts a few more roles as well. I loved the story line, I loved all the characters. Both just meshed well together. The back and forth, the "almost mating" had me wanting to smack both of them. The forest scene was fun. All in all Id loved it and would read it again. The BDSM element was hot, the whole me tarzan you jane worked for me as top of the A list. Enjoy.

A shifter paranormal romance that had my inner kitty roaring throughout this erotic read. Diana Hambre is desperate; she is a leopard shifter and is in her heat cycle which makes her crave sex. After being widowed for a year Diana decides to indulge her cravings and heads to the Downtown Den, a shifter’s club where she can hire a stud to service her for the night to help ease her cravings. Diana is collared and waiting when her boss Shawn Barclay comes walking through the door and informs her that he owns this club and will be the only one that will be servicing her that night or any other night. Shawn, a powerful alpha leopard, knows that Diana is his equal and wants to train her to be the alpha leopardess he knows her to be, can each of them put their pasts behind them and move forward together?
Mega sexy read! I was worried my kindle was going to melt due to the hotness of this book. I love a sexy, dominant alpha male and Shawn is definitely all of the above. I liked Diana as well, even though she is more than willing to submit to Shawn in the bedroom, she is a strong and independent person. Even with the large amount of down and dirty sex in this book the story is wonderful and keeps you hooked throughout. I am looking forward to reading more from Susan Arden in the future.
Shawn sometimes just needs to ease his woman's mind at times, "he encircled her with his forearms, anchoring her against the hard lane of his torso. "Diana," he whispered, "I could take you right now. But I've much better plans for you." He has to do that 'alpha' coaxing thing with her, "Kitten, put away your claws. I believe you'd never intentionally ensnare a man. You've got a secret weapon. I bet you don't realize the spell you cast, do you? Baby, you could tempt a saint." Diana brings out the animal in Shawn, "concerned. You're a handful but even so, I may have tired you out. All I want is to tear off your clothes and toss you across that bed." He's also the type of man who needs a routine, and luckily for Diana she's in on that routine, "good morning," he whispered into her sleepy face. He kissed her briefly and sat back to roll a condom down his d***. She gasped as he positioned himself at the mouth of her slick center. "Come on, baby, I'm not about to start the day without you." The thing I love most about Shawn is the fact that, the boy knows how to talk dirty, "god, I can't wait until I can fill you so full of my semen that it will run down your legs. Possess you and release inside you." I really enjoyed this book.
Collared for a Night is the erotic paranormal Romance between Diana Hambre, an alpha shifter leopardess whose mate has died, and Shawn Barclay, an alpha leopard who owns the shifter club where she goes for servicing in the midst of her heat cycle.
He's also her boss at Matrix Design where she is a graphic designer.
Shawn offers himself to service and train her. When she agrees, he takes her to his mountain retreat where they mate and run and she learns what it means to be alpha--and to fall in love.
A trip to Vegas to accept a design award for Diana brings out the worst in everyone as she meets and is challenged by Shawn's ex.
The sex is hot and heavy. The world of the shifters in Denver carefully drawn. The story moves to its inevitable conclusion by way of the Rockies and Vegas as Shawn and Diana decide whether it's possible to both be free and to bond with someone you love.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Collared for a Night is one hot ride with an amazing cover. That’s what attracted me to the book and the blurb sealed the deal.
Diana has been through hell. She left her family behind to avoid an arranged mating with her childhood friend Cole. They mated and everything was fine until he died. Then she was left all alone. After a year of suffering through her heat by herself and a couple of unfortunate mishaps, she decided to take of her problem this heat.
Shawn and Diana wanted each other but didn’t. I loved the back and forth with these two. It wasn’t too much, it was just enough. Shawn is Alpha in every way and hot as hell. My favorite shifters to read about are wolves, but these two just might make me change my mind. Wow! That’s all I can say.
Ms. Arden writes chemistry in a way that has the reader engulfed in the flames as well. I could literally feel the heat. She is definitely a talented author who I will be reading more of.
Ok, So I really liked the premise and the beginning. The character set up was great. You got to know a bit about both Shawn and Diana. The overall flow of the book was a bit quick at time and slow at others. I didn't think this was a fated mates story but it ended up being that way. I wanted to know more about Diana's training and how it was going before she went to Las Vegas. Overall, I enjoyed the story. 3 stars because of unevenness and some editing problems that spellcheck won't catch (ex, of instead of on).
If I could give this book a 1-10 rating of hotness... it would totally be off the scales. The book is like one big orgasm and I loved it. It's not your typical erotic book. Hotter than FSOG, this book takes two alpha shifters and drives the reader insane! I couldn't put this book down. Well written, but so much more than just some hot sex. There's a true storyline and tale to be told here. If you like Paranormal Romances, and you like Erotic books, this is a perfect blend of both!
The book was a bit too long with too many details - it felt like their relationship was more about him training her alpha nature than about the two of them. But not a bad book at all.
There was actually a lot less BDSM content than I was expecting, but the story was amazing. If you love Christine feehan's leopard people series you will love Collared for a Night.
” ‘You’re right about this being about sex. But sex is power, make no mistake.’ “
From the intense and sexually charged first pages, to the romantic finale, I LOVED THIS BOOK. It is scorchingly HOT: a fantastic mix of shifters, human emotion, fantastically written sex scenes, all darkly tinged with power, dominance, and submission.
What should have been one night becomes so much more; it becomes everything. Before we even even meet Shawn, the sexual tension in Diana’s first scenes is positively sizzling, and when Shawn enters, the real fireworks start. This book is filled with fantastic sex scenes: at times sensual, and other times edgy and gritty, but always mind-blowing.
I enjoyed every bit of this book, not just the sex. The shifter storyline was woven seamlessly through the human storyline and I soon forgot this was a “shifter book”. Diana and Shawn must face their pasts in order to be together. They must accept their true selves and find a way for two very strong personalities to mesh, despite uncertainties and misgivings. I am crazy about Shawn’s sexy, dominate, protectiveness. He is an extremely strong character; he has to be, if he has any chance at taming the nearly equally strong-willed and powerful Diane.
This book as a whole: sex, plot, action, and romance is intense to say the least. I was captivated from beginning to end. Already a fan of this author, I love how I’m once again impressed by her ability to draw the reader completely in to whichever amazing, unique story she chooses to create for us.
" 'Your first mistake was believing I’d be fair. When it comes to having you… baby, I’m not playing some game. If there are rules, I’ll break every one of them to get to you. That’s my promise. I get you in the end. I’ll destroy anything -anyone- that stands in my way.’
No more words. Syllables spoken were useless. He kissed her in a way that left them both breathless. He kissed her to remember. He kissed her to make sure she’d find her way back. He kissed hello, not goodbye.”
