I loved the story instantly from the start. It was cute and I loved the characters. [That extra chapter on Joseph and the girl who has a crush on him is just plain adorable.] I read this manga from Webtoonlive and I was really surprised when the author, Seok Woo, requested that the website stop translating the manga into English and to remove all the chapters. Why? We English-speaking people want to read it too. Why does she even want people to stop translating? How would translating even affect her? Well, my friend, who also read this series, found translated chapters on another site, so we just read the last few chapters there (I haven't read the last one yet).
I feel like the ending is a little rushed. I'm pretty sure the story should go on for a while, because Ma Ri and Jae Min kind of finally got back together after they overcame all those problems (i.e. Jae Min's hatred for vampires). (They are my OTP.) Apparently Seok Woo is finishing the series because it's not popular enough. I kind of wish there was more about Si Hoo. He was a really important character but he wasn't mentioned as much...
This story left me with a few morals. It kind of reminds me of this comment that someone put up as an argument against adults who thought of Harry Potter as only children's books. The person stated: "When people say these books are children's books, as if to demean them, I balk. These books dealt with themes that adults do not fully understand or wish to. It dealt with racism, classism, sexism, homophobia, prejudice, and general ignorance. These books taught us that it doesn't matter how you were raised, but that you get to choose to be kind, loyal, brave, and true. They taught us to be strong under the pressures of this world, and to hold fast to what we know to be right. These books taught me so much, they changed me as a person. So just because they're set against a fantastical backdrop with young protagonists does not mean that their value is any less real." This statement matched so well to this story. Jung Jae Min just assumed that all vampires were bad people. By doing this, he hurt his mother and the person he probably cared about the most. When Bak Ma Ri was little, she was targeted and alienated by the other kids. They didn't even bother to spend time to get to know her, and if they had, they would have discovered what an amazing person she was. And just like the above comment, she was born a vampire, a monster according to society, but she chose to be a good person. She practically refused to drink human blood. (The manga showed the effects of drinking human blood regularly on Si Hoo.) It was so sad when she went to the art exhibit and people started talking about her like she was less than human. It was even more sad when Jae Min left her. He knew that she was a good person, but he left anyways. But the worse thing was when Ma Ri started to hate herself. When she wished she had never existed. Her friends abandoned her at the time she needed them the most. That was heartbreaking. When I started reading this manga, I thought that it was just a simple, fun story, but there was meaning behind it.

I love that the vampire thing is becoming a bigger deal and that we're seeing more of Mari's history and how it affects her current relationships. The romance is also growing on me.

Review For Chapters 31-45

Hogwarts Cup Readathon 2020

This series just keeps getting better and better with every chapter. I even teared up a bit during a scene between Ma Ri and Soo Ri, it was just that good. I'm also quite enjoying the way the romance is developing too. The new character is definitely not my favorite so far, but I think that's the point? Anyways, I can't wait to continue!

Okay let's be honest if Jaemin wasn't hot he would be arrested for being a creepy ass stalker. Stockholm syndrome much? Not that I won't read the rest of these.

I can understand feelings growing from exposure, but the faintly stalker-ish methods used still taints the subject material for me.

Marie Baek is a vampire high school girl in world where human and vampire live together, she always been ostracized for being vampire even when they don't drink human blood anymore, she's tired of moving around everytime something bad happened. She wish human and vampire will live in actual peace and not afraid of vampire anymore. Through this series we'll see her trying to navigate her life as closeted vampire in high school, trying to have good time and actual friendship.

Alas, we've reached the final page.
- I wish Ma Ri was a stronger badass 'i-dont-give-a-fuck' character. However, she still pulled through at times and she didn't falter when she was pushed to a corner.

There are some characters I just never stop hating no matter the 'change' or 'development' they went through. One of them is called: Chaerin.

Last comment: In the last chapters, doesn't Chaerin's 'boyfriend' look like Ji Chang Wook in Healer, guys? Haha.

끝났어?
작가님... 다시한번...

Yeah the last piece was great, yeah i said it was okay in second chappie, but not for the thrice.
Yeah its about a school life and stuff, despite that its more about how we dealt with differences. About how we accept each other. Its simple manhwa will brought up your emotion for sure, just read it, you'll experience it yourself.

Bye then!

I really think this is an adorable story. These two really do fight the odds and cause some change in the views of others around them. They even change their own views. I'm an ecstatic that this ends so happily for everyone.

It was very unexpectedly wonderful Story. Very captivating. When I started it, I wasn't expecting it to be this much fun. Tone of the story was Low and intense. One that can't go unnoticed. All in all it was a bundle of surprise (pleasant one).

Had some ups and downs right there but Jae min and Baek Ma Ri can totally handle everything they went through. Especially I love the part of Baek Ma ri's little brother, Joseph is certainly adorable.

This is a sweet shoujo manga about acceptance. Not really about vampires, but about accepting the difference. The art work is great. This third volume was my favourite.
