It’s London’s senior year and she only needs one class to graduate. She just didn’t expect her final assignment: fall in love.
Communication 224 has a reputation for giving out the most unique projects of the semester. When London James and Beau Anderson signed up for the class they had no idea they would be paired up together, much less spend an entire semester working on their final grade.
Professor Garcia tasks them to produce a study on the hit reality show, Love Match, a show about strangers falling in love on over the top dates. London and Beau decide to debunk the popular show’s fantasy portrayal of romance. Determined they can date the entire semester and not fall for each other, the classmates share blogs about their dates and start a website where everyone can follow their dating experiment.
Is staying out of love as easy as it seems? Headstrong and success-driven London discovers there might be more important things in life than an A.
T.A. Foster is a Southern girl whose heart and spirit are connected to the beach. She grew up catching rays and chasing waves along the North Carolina Outer Banks and now resides in the state with her adventurous pilot husband, three children and canine kiddos.
Her long love affair with books started at an early age, and as soon as she was able, she transformed imaginative stories into words on paper.
T.A. has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. When she’s not chasing her two-legged and four-legged children or trying to escape for date night, you can find her reading, writing or planning her next beach trip.
I may be taking part in the tour, but I had this pre-ordered anyway well before it. And how glad I am that I did.
I'm often a bit hit-and-miss with New Adult - unfortunately it's usually a miss. But London Falling has somewhat redeemed New Adult books in my eyes. I really really enjoyed this read. I had a huge smile on my face the whole time I was reading.
London Falling is a sweet and slightly steamy romance which slowly and subtly grows and changes as the relationships between the characters develop.
This book was not what I expected at all, I mean you could tell synopsis that London and Beau would have sizzling chemistry but not like this!
It starts off both Beau and London being paired for Comms class and hearing that Professor Garcia's class is an easy A which is very important for London to maintain and get. We find out later in the book why as she has an agreement with her parents. Her family is nothing like what I expected, very easy going.
Beau and London's relationship are similar like magnets, they repel each other but exactly what the other needs. A match made in heaven.
The were a few moments in the book when I wanted to scream at London for making the wrong choices, it was about time when she realised love conquers all!
using today's obsession with reality tv shows in a brilliantly carried out concept
Reading books like this that feature such fun assignments always makes me a little envious of the college courses available in the US as opposed to the more traditional projects we undertake in the UK *sigh*.
London Falling uses todays obsession with reality TV programs as an ingenious basis for the story. Making the students undertake a project based on one of the myriad of reality TV shows around at the moment, the aim to prove/disprove the hypothesis that the events portrayed in these shows could occur in the real world. Personally, I would go with the stance that no they couldn’t. However, having to recreate a series of romantic dates would surely have an effect on even the most hardened cynic ;)
On the surface, London and Beau appear complete opposites; London is very driven and single-minded, focussing on her dream of becoming an actress to the exclusion of all else. She hasn’t taken the time to enjoy her college years having to prove herself to her parents. High grades are among the stipulations of pursuing her dream. Beau on the other hand is rather an enigma, his laid back persona is at odds with his career choice, lawyer, until you get to know his background.
Beau shows London how to enjoy herself, testing her boundaries with their fun dates. They bring out the best in each other which makes London’s often callous remarks without thought to Beau’s feelings even more cutting. I honestly felt that it was a defence mechanism for London, she hasn’t been in a situation that has made her question her future and her feelings before and it scares her. To be fair Beau isn’t exactly mister open about his feelings either. This is only exasperated by their assignment, although it brought then together their stance now has the opposite effect, having to keep their developing relationship hidden and worse pretend they don’t have feelings for each other adds to the apprehension within the narrative.
The character development alongside the briliantly executed plot make London Falling a riveting read. Not to be missed :) Now if only I had someone to plan dates like that for me ;)

London Falling is a sweet story of a young man and woman who get partnered together in a college communication class.
London is an overachiever who can’t wait to graduate and flee to Los Angeles–but to do that, she needs an A in the class. Beau’s taking it because he heard there’s no homework.
London and Beau were both likable characters. London was a semi-celebrity on campus for her starring roles in plays, and Beau was making a name for himself as ‘the blogger with the bucket list.’ London was a bit uptight in her quest for an ‘A,’ but it was so much fun to read her character. Beau was much more laid back.
I really liked that London wasn’t as aware of Beau’s insane attractiveness as other girls, and that it wasn’t until she started getting to know him that he was able to knock her off her game and make her feel a bit awkward. They developed a real connection instead of insta-attraction, and it was such a refreshing change of pace from other books I’ve read recently.
There were so many fun scenes in this book–from London and Beau getting so hot and heavy they nearly go up in flames (literally!) to my favorite–’the hometown date,’ where London takes Beau home to meet her family, and he nearly forgets about her. There were so many sweet, belly-laughing scenes in this book!
London Falling was fun read about two people who find love when they are least expecting it. This is a great book if you are looking for a quick, sweet read that will leave you with a smile on your face!
So having just finished the first season of the show UnReal, a behind the scenes look at a Bachelor-like show (so good btw), this book caught my interest. I loved how the show showed how manufactured everything actually was. So I thought this would be an interesting new take on that.
Straight A student, actress London gets paired with adventurous, social blogger Beau on their Comm 224 project, to analyze the show Love Match. Having not watched the Bachelor I'm pretty sure Love Match is essentially the same show. A bachelor or bachelorette goes on a series of over the top dates with a dozen or so potential mates.
London and Beau decide to disprove the theory that romantic situations can inspire romantic feelings by going on a series of similar dates themselves. Ok, kind of interesting. But after a few dates, they start to have feelings for each other. And decide they are going to fail this project. And this is where the story started falling apart for me. Umm, one of you is a straight A student. Do you not understand how an experiment works? You make a hypothesis and it's either proved or disproved. You don't fail if it's disproved.
**Beware spoilers**
But whatever. They decide to date in secret and continue their experiment as if they hadn't fallen for each other. They date for a while until they have an argument about the project and Beau breaks things off since London's plan after graduation in a few weeks is to move to LA to become an actress anyway. London admits everything to her professor and here it lost me further. The professor's solution to her student's broken heart because of her weird assignment, it to continue the project but secretly chronicle her real feelings and see if she can get Beau to have feelings for her again. What?! This makes little sense to me. We know he has feelings for her already. What kind of theory are you trying to prove now?
**End spoilers**
And then almost every interaction between Beau and London from here on out made little sense to me. I didn't understand their huge swings in behavior with one another and their arguments for/about their relationships didn't make complete sense to me. I had trouble emphasizing where either was coming from.
Beyond their relationship there were certain details within the story that bothered me. Not deal breakers, but these little inconsistencies bothered me a bit.
I absolutely adored this book and loved every minute of it. It has such a fun and unique plot but it was also sweet, romantic and emotional. The chemistry between London and Beau was beautifully written and their journey of love was full of both tender and heartbreaking moments.
London is a senior in college and one class away from her dream of moving to California to pursue an acting career. I liked her and how motivated and hardworking she was. She is also a loyal and caring friend and I felt like that said a lot about her character. She is confidant and self-assured so her constant fumbling around Beau was cute and funny. I liked how open Beau was with London and he definitely wore his heart and his feelings on his sleeve. London was a little less transparent and she definitely said the wrong thing a time or two to cause strife between her and Beau. It seemed like London cared more about the grade than her relationship with Beau and I could definitely see how he would interpret her actions. I felt like he gave up on them too soon but I understood that he was just trying to protect his heart because his actions didn’t match his words and actions always speak louder.
This was one of the more fun plots that I have encountered in a while and it is half the reason I loved this book so much. The idea that they have to disprove that you can fall in love by going on dates similar to Love Match (a bachelor type show). The dates they went on were so fun and entertaining and it’s easy to see how they could fall for each other, even when they’re trying to prove it’s not possible. The turning point in their relationship was so romantic and I definitely fell for Beau in that moment. I loved that he cared about London more than anything, including his grade on the project. I know London felt the same but sometimes it takes losing something to make you realize what you really want. She so was so sure about her path and what and where she wanted to go but meeting Beau made her question everything. Realizing how much she cared about him, I loved watching her win him back.
Seriously, this book was a much needed breath of fresh air in the contemporary category and I needed that. The writing was really fantastic and the plot flowed so well. The characters were developed well and I definitely had an emotional attachment to them. The moments of passion between Beau and London were so tender and sweet and I really liked that. I also really liked London’s roommate and best friend, Nina, and I’m hoping her and Andrew might get their own story.

"Because when you’re in love, there’s nothing you want more than to see that person every day and every night. They are the why for your sudden smile. They are the reason for new chances you’re willing to take. They inspire you to be more, to be better, and to be real. Loving someone isn't a hobby or a project—it’s part of your being."
Everyone knows that nothing can go wrong with having fake dates with a hot dude!!! RIGHT?????
Straight-A student and aspiring actress London James doesn't know what's in store for her when she is partnered with hot and funny Beau Anderson for their Communication 224 project.
But it's not just an ordinary pair assignment. They are tasked to prove if there is any reality in reality TV. Having picked Love Match, a show wherein a bachelor or bachelorette goes on different dates with the contestants and by the end of every show, one is eliminated until that certain bachelor or bachelorette only picks one by the end of the series. (for short, think of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette).
Both of them agree to creatively do their project by actually imitating the show and them going on fake dates.
They are both eager to prove that reality TV is fake, especially something like Love Match. Both of them are so sure in proving that a person can't simply truly fall in love by just going on romantic dates, like the ones shown in this reality show.
Alas, they embark on their own Love Match. Fakes dates here, fake dates there, fake dates EVERYWHERE!
But we all know what happens when a boy and a girl start going on fake dates.......it becomes not fake at all!
Oh yeah!! Definitely a good read!! This book also made me want to create my own bucketlist (but I'm just so lazy to even create a list, let alone do stuff that's on the list). Anyway, I also liked how some of the things that Beau listed in his bucket list were incorporated on their fake-slash-real dates. Plus, loved the characters and the different settings of their dates.
Some of my favorite moments:
The fake BUT sweet dates
Their accomplishment of the bucket list!!
The I-can't-fake-it-anymore moment!
The I-want-it-to-be-real moment!
The funny moments!
The steamy moments!
The sweet moments!
AND LESSON LEARNED DEAR READERS! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
Anyway, this is my first T.A. Foster book and I loved it!!!
Straight A student London James needs just one more class to graduate from UNC and head off to L.A. to begin her acting career. But the nutty professor of Communication 224 gives just one grade for one project, and it's a lot more complicated than it sounds. With another student as her partner, she has to live the project, immersing herself in the reality show world of perfect, unreal, romantic dates. The goal? To prove that rose petals and champagne can't manufacture romance. If only it were that simple.
She's spent the past four years of school immersed in acting, spending her weekends in the basement with the rest of the drama crew, working on their series of productions. She's dated a few fellow drama geeks, but nothing to write home about, and the last thing she needs is to be saddled with a partner who doesn't take perfect grades as seriously as she does. After all, if she makes less than an A, her parents won't support her move to L.A.
Beau Anderson is a typical college guy, exactly the kind she's never been interested in. He goes to parties, watches sports, lives with video game junkies, and has never even seen on of London's plays. But he's easy to talk to, fun to be around, and keeps coming up with perfect date plans. Suddenly her fake boyfriend feels a lot more real than either one of them intended.
Gorgeous cover. At first, I was wondering how a beach scene had anything to do with UNC -- I mean, it's not like Chapel Hill is anywhere near a beach. But then the break happened, and guess where our two love birds ended up? *Insert girly sigh here* Granted, I could have done without that font -- it's not nearly as bad as Papyrus, but it's still way overused. Still a lovely pic, though, with beautiful colors and totally fitting for the book.
Loved it! It's a fun, sweet romance that somehow manages to avoid all the cliched trappings of so many novels in this genre. So many romances have a couple at odds who finally give into their attraction, followed by a jealous misunderstanding or some angsty mess where one or both are unwilling to admit their feelings, followed by the guy rushing in to sweep the girl off her feet with some uber-romantic declaration. But this book has something far better than that!
London may be a theater geek, but she's no wallflower, and for all his typical boyishness, Beau is a far cry from the binge drinking jock one might expect. She's not saving his grades, and he's not showing her how to cut loose. They're just two people with very different interests who find a common ground and one hell of an attraction. I loved that London is proud of who she is, and while she may be studious, she doesn't naturally assume she's any less of a catch than any other girl on campus. And when the angst kicks in, she doesn't even think about giving up. Instead, she goes after what she wants -- Beau, of course. The result is a story that serves up a fun, sweet, somewhat complicated romance with just the right amount of drama to keep you turning the pages. This is one author who's going on my watch list!
*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
London is in her last semester of college, and her last requirement to graduate is a communications class. An A in this class means that she has earned her parent's support in moving to LA and exploring her passion of acting as a career. The communications class is notoriously unique and the projects are often immersive. This year, the instructor is having the students explore reality television and they are paired off and asked to explore a specific show using the theories discussed in class. London is paired with Beau Anderson and they are given the show Love Match (which is pretty much exactly like The Bachelor). London and Beau set out to show that going on fancy dates doesn't make people fall in love. The problem arises as they spend time together and realize that they are very attracted to one another and are now in a position where they have to decide how to deal with their feelings for one another without messing up their research project or messing up their hypothesis.
There was definitely some predictability here, but I didn't really care. I read this book straight through when I picked it up. I really liked the characters and it was fun to spend tim with them. Despite the elements of deception that were going on with regard to the project, I liked that London and Beau were honest with each other as they struggled their way through a difficult situation. London was a complex person and it was interesting to see her so confident in certain areas of her life, and nervous in others. Beau was extremely likable, and it was easy to see how London could develop feelings for someone who had so many interests that were different from hers. Seeing them spend time together and trying each other's dates with an open mind was really fun. I also enjoyed the story lines that went along with the friends' characters, and watching how they supported each other through difficult situations. Overall, this was an enjoyable read, and I would gladly read more by this author in the future.
Bachelor and Bachelorette Fans This Ones For YOU ♡
My Oh My! This was a fun read! This book has the cutest story line! Much of America is obsessed with reality T.V. Be it those duck men, men cutting down trees, working on cars, surviving on an island or trying to find the love of your life, WE.WATCH.IT. (Oh wait not me. I quit T.V. No really I did! For the most part that is!)
London is trying to finish up her Senior year of college with one last class. A communications class with a teacher that thinks out of the box. This year she has her students pair up and live out a reality show in their real lives. London is assigned hottie Beau as a partner and the show women of America go crazy for. You know the one with the amazing dates, 25 women/men vying for one and of course those coveted roses. They blog their dates as the student body follows along. They plan to prove that you can not really fall in love like this and that the show is a fraud.
London Falling is a fresh new story for fans of the New Adult genre! It's funny, sexy, sweet and pure reading entertainment at it's best!
This book has it all!! It's fast paced, sexy, and even comedic at times. Although the college days are a thing of the distant past for this reader, I found myself completely immersed in this college romance story. I could not get enough of main character and heartthrob, Beau Anderson, and enjoyed living vicariously through this story's lead sweetheart, London James.
London and Beau meet their senior year, when they're chosen to be partners in an awkward class project that forces them to get to know each other better. This story completely captures the excitement and seduction that a new relationship brings, with also the humor of reality television and modern love stories we all get a little too wrapped up in. As a side note, if you're a Bachelor fan, you'll love this book, and all the inside jokes shared by the bachelor nation. If not, you'll still enjoy the occasional humor mixed in with the smoking hot romance between these characters.
T.A., I am a HUGE fan of the Ivy Grace series, and you certainly did not disappoint with this new addition to your collection. I can't wait to see what you do next!!
London Falling is based around a class project. And I have to say, that professor seems more than a little eccentric, but so cool! I loved the way she structured her class and the projects that they had to do. It was a communications and social media class, and each group of partners was assigned a different reality tv show and they had to use the different communication theories that they learned in the class to create a hands on semester long project based on their show. And being a bit of a reality tv show junkie, I ate it all up. The show that London and Beau got was Love Match, which is basically exactly like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Which, incidentally, is one of the few reality shows that I have never watched, but I know the concept of it. London and Beau both think the show is stupid and can't possibly be real so they create a blog and set out to prove that you can't force people to fall in love with each other by just by making them go on these crazy dates.
London Falling is such a fun book. London and Beau seem to be complete opposites on first glance. London is totally focused and Beau is so free and fun-loving. Beau is a well known campus blogger at the college and his senior "bucket list" is like a personal mission of his. I loved that they each worked items from his bucket list into their dates. I thought that was such a cute addition to the story. I really enjoyed the dynamic of London and Beau. They each pushed each other. I could tell right away that Beau was really falling for London. In fact, everyone could tell except her. The book is told completely from her POV so we only get her take on things, but TA Foster does such a great job with her characterizations that I still felt like I got some of Beau's point of view and his feelings. I really felt like I got to know him just as well as I got to know London and that is impressive from a single narrative book.
I don't want to spoil anything in the book. I was a little sad about a couple of the decisions they made with regards to their project and I was a little more than sad at a few of the choices they each made in their personal lives because I became so invested in the thought of London and Beau together. But the way everything plays out in the book is kind of perfect. Even though I was sad a couple of times, I wouldn't change a thing.
London Falling takes you on all kinds of ups and downs. Fake feelings, real feelings, hurt feelings, oh my! I was rooting for London and Beau from day one and I also was rooting on their project being a success. This book was every bit addictive as a realtiy show. Bring on the guilty pleasures!
London Falling is a cute story about two people trying not to fall in love. London needs an A in this class so her parents will pay her way to California and Beau is just taking it because he heard it was easy. Everybody in the class is assigned a partner and a reality show. They're suppose to decided whether or not the show is true to life or just Hollywood fluff. London and Beau are assigned Love Match, a Bachelor/Bachlorette type show.
London was pretty cool. She was smart and knew exactly what she wanted in life. She's just kind of awkward around guys. Beau is the author of a blog that's well known around campus, particularly for the bucket list of things to do before you graduate. He seems utterly ordinary to London and she admits that it never would have even occurred to her to date, let alone fall in love, with an ordinary guy like him. That's the thing I liked most about the book. The fact that it brought two people together who never would have even become friends under ordinary circumstances.
There were a couple of things I didn't understand though. They're task was to prove or disprove reality TV shows, not just disprove. So when they fell in love, it would have been okay for them to put that on the blog, even if it contradicted their hypothesis. That's the beauty of science. I got the feeling though that it was more London's perfectionist personality that prevented them from doing that. I also wished that London and Beau would have talked about their families a bit more. Especially before they went to London's parent's house, because they kind of popped up out of the blue.
If you like cute romances, then London Falling is definitely the book for you.
London Falling is a beautiful story about reality, love, and the unexpected. Reality television has more often than not the feeling of being stage or even scripted. London James thought the same when her professor assigns s her and her Communications 224 partner, Beau to analyze and be the reality dating show “Love Match.” London and Beau decide that just going on highly over the top dates based off the ones on the show is not enough to bring out real romantic feelings.
London is a Straight-A student, who only needs Communication 224 to graduate and she is determined to keep her Straight-A status. Beau maybe pre-law, but he is a live in the moment and experience life type of person. London cannot see herself falling in love on a few dates with someone like Beau right before graduation and leaving for California. This seems like a slam-dunk way to end college, but it may not be as easy as it seems as Beau opens London up to new experiences.
I liked the way “Love Match” was incorporated into the story and actually becomes an integral part of London and Beau’s story and relationship. London has been so focused on her stuffing and theatre that she never had the “normal” college experience. While I admire her focus and drive, I think Beau is a perfect balance for her. Beau makes London stop and experience life around her. Falling in love with Beau is not in London’s plan and it could cause her to fail Communications 224.
London Falling is a delightful story and does not completely revolve around the experiment keeping the story fresh. I liked the story development and T.A. Foster is writing style. I would most defiantly read something by her again.
**Unabridged Bookshelf received this book, in exchange for an honest review**
London Falling was such a sweet book overall, I just couldn’t help but fall for it in return. I enjoyed the romance and how it occurred. I liked the idea of a class where the project is to take on different types of reality shows. It definitely made for an interesting backdrop to the story.
London, I thought, was a little messed up when it came to romance. However what I did love about her is that she had a dream and she stuck to it. She had long term goals and she wasn’t willing to compromise that for a guy, which I really admired. So often women are disparaged for being strong and speaking out, so I liked reading about a female character who wasn’t afraid to put it out there that she believed in her own self-worth.
There were a few parts of the story I found a tad clunky. The last part where their interactions changed, for example, seemed awkward. I really thought a lot of it could have been solved with an honest conversation. Honestly, though, I really enjoyed this book on a whole. I liked the characters, the premise, and I found it to be a really sweet story overall.
CUTE!!! Anyone who is a fan, or not a fan, of the Bachelor/Bachelorette Series will enjoy this book. London and Beau are partnered up in their Communications class to prove that the show "Love Match" is fake. They recreate the lavish dates (as best they can as college students) from each week's show then blog about it. Unfortunately for Beau and London, their hypothesis is wrong……..because they begin to have feelings for each other. But London doesn't want to risk their grade, so they're forced to pretend they aren't falling for each other.
There were so many great things about the book. I loved Beau. He was so sweet and adventurous. He showed London what the true College Experience was all about. London spent her entire 4 years at UNC Chapel Hill in the theatre, never going to a basketball game, or a karaoke bar, never living the carefree life of a College kid. London was great. She's funny, talented and a loyal friend. The supporting characters helped make the story enjoyable as well.
I was given an ARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. I don’t care how old I get, I will always love romances in a college setting. London Falling is one of the best one that I have read. This book was smart and charming, sweet and funny. It has a unique fast paced plot and its use of social media and reality tv make it very contemporary and relatable. The author has done an amazing job at creating a plot that puts a different spin on what could have been just another college romance book. The characters are incredibly likable London and Beau have a great chemistry that makes you fall for them even as they are falling for each other..Beau is just sexiness personified. I would totally attend any college that Beau was studying at. (grinning) London Falling is a smart book with humor and heart. I’m so glad that I was given the opportunity to read.
Wow, this is such a unique Young Adult Novel. In a genre that is overrun by the same story told in a different way, I really enjoyed the freshness of London Falling.
London is so incredibly focused on her goal. She sees things in her head one way and is determined for them to play out that way. She never expected a connection to form between her and Beau.
One of the main things that appealed to me is the authenticity in the way they fell for eachother. These two really did start out as two people just trying to pass the class and ended up steadily falling more and more for one another. It was so believable and the pacing in that aspect alone was spot on.
The dates... oh the dates. How imaginative and Romantic. I loved that they would watch the show and then come up with their own versions.
This novel is unique and romantic while being fun and real!
I really enjoyed reading this book! It was a fun and entertaining read that I didn't want to put down. I enjoyed going back to college and spending time with London and Beau! I loved the whole background of the story and would of loved to have a class like communications 224! Dating a hot funny guy like Beau Anderson for a grade, say what?! Heck yeah, that's one grade I would enjoy on getting! This is one story I recommend reading sooner then later!
3 stars. I had high hopes for this one. I thought the idea for the book was great, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed when I started reading it. I just had a really hard time connecting with the characters and there were just no OMG moments. Overall it was an alright read just not what I expected.
This book was SUPER! It had me rooting for the H/h the whole time! It was flirty, funny, realistic, and really sweet!! It's a book you really can't put down...You must finish one. More . Chapter...until you've devoured the whole thing. At least that's what happened to me!!
Nothing but 4.5-fun, flirty**** from this bookista!!!
This is book is a stand-alone and there is no cheating.
Can you put two people together who don't know each other and 'make' sparks? TV shows do all the time, right? Reality TV that is, and that's sort of what this book explores as a college project. The blurb alone made me one-click so fast I thought my index finger would fall off! I'm one of the biggest Bachelor/Bachelorette fans out there!
" It’s London’s senior year and she only needs one class to graduate.
Resisting their growing attraction for one another is harder than they thought.
London is in for the toughest class of her college career. The headstrong and success-driven student discovers there might be more important things in life than an A. " " Doesn't that make you smile and think yummy thoughts? Me too and I already read it!!!
London James is extremely driven...did I say extremely driven? I mean one of those kids you knew who did everything they could to get what they needed to graduate with 4.0. She's hell-bent on becoming an actress in Hollywood and is good enough to be. Has been involved in Theater throughout a 4 years and has always had the lead roles. She's nothing short of amazing on stage. London needs must graduate with straight A's in order for her parents to foot the bill her first little while in LA. She can be so driven at times I wanted to shake my Kindle (as if it was her) and yell "WAKE UP, YOU!!!" But on the flip side, it was refreshing in a sense as well. London was so focused, she didn't have time for anyone's nonsense. It wasn't like she didn't have a sense of humor, she just didn't pull it out much.
"This whole dating scenario was fake, but the feelings bouncing around in my chest felt real. The opposite of what I wanted."
Beau Anderson...Beau, Beau, Beau. He's a fun guy my book people!! He writes a funny blog at UNC, where they attend, and he has written a senior bucket list. Things he wants to do before he graduates. We all have one, whether written or not and really? What an amazing college idea? Wish I thought of it!! Well played T.A. Foster! Well played!! Beau is a character who is charming, but he wears it on his sleeve. I remember thinking, I would expect him to do that. He's really one great catch. He's not a bad boy, doesn't fight, or is overly expressive with curse words. He's not over the top with flirting. (not that any of that bothers me in a book) But for Beau, it's all who he is. From the moment we meet him in the book-we somehow know it's him but don't know his name and it all fits as this is who he is.
When they come together on this project, I wasn't surprised as to whose idea it was...will you be? But from the moment they start 'fake' dating, as a reader it was obvious there was more underneath. But the way the author peeled it back for us layer by layer? That was the beauty! London begins to have some confusion about what's really happening in her head about Beau. Is this a great friendship, am I falling for him, is this just because of our dates? And Beau seemed to be getting just as invested, although this wasn't a dual POV book. He does want to fight for her at one point in the book. But the tables soon turn on London. This book made me smile, gasp, yell and swoon!! Books that evoke emotions are the very best kind!!! It was stupefying...I read this book with a stupid grin on my face. I felt like a best friend or parent rooting for them. They were the BEST people/characters ever and they deserved each other truly!!
"London, this project changed me. You changed me. I always talked a lot about living my dreams, but I wouldn't be doing it if I hadn't met you."

I will admit that this gorgeous cover is originally what drew me in and made me want to read this book. I absolutely loved London Falling and had so much fun reading this story. This book was unique and different from any other New Adult books that I have read, and I found the story really refreshing. This is definitely a feel good story that was really adorable and left me smiling. I can't wait to read more from T.A. Foster after reading this book. I found this book almost impossible to put down and didn't stop reading until I had devoured every last page.
London is a senior and only needs one more class to graduate. Her communications class is taught by a professor who is known for being a bit different and unconventional. In order for London to take the next step towards moving to LA to achieve her dream of becoming an actress, she must first get an A and graduate. When her professor assigns the class the task of proving if a reality show is real or staged with the help of a partner, London will do anything to make sure that they get an A. London gets assigned Beau as a partner and they get the reality TV show Love Match. Love Match centers around a man or woman who sets out on several over the top dates with multiple people in order to find love. Beau and London decide that they will fake date to prove the show is made up and keep a record of their experiences through a blog that students and their professor can see. But after a few dates, they are beginning to develop feelings for each other. They can't fight their attraction to each other and the connection they are forming is too strong to ignore. They decide to date for real, but hide it from everyone and pretend that they are still fake dating in order to continue with the project and not risk their grade in the class. But when things get more serious, they must decide if a relationship together is worth risking everything for.
I really liked Beau. He was fun and carefree, and really adventurous. I liked how he was able to really bring London out of her shell and help her to experience life. He was sweet and sexy and I thought that he was just a really great guy. He was so normal and felt really real to me. I liked that he was out to have a good time and really enjoy himself without taking things too seriously. London was great also. She was dedicated and determined. At first she was a bit uptight and seemed to be pretty single minded when it came to her life. But soon after meeting Beau she really started to open up and there was a whole other side that Beau was able to bring out in her. It was really nice to see her transition as the book progressed. Beau and London were so different from each other, but they really proved that opposites do attract. They worked so well together and seemed really natural to me. They also had a ton of chemistry and I really enjoyed how they went from being partners to friends to falling in love.
Overall, this book completely exceeded my expectations and really blew me away. I loved Beau and London and their entire story. This book is addictive and as much of a guilty pleasure as the reality show that they reference. I was sad to finish this book because I just wasn't ready to be done with Beau and London. I also really liked the secondary characters in this story and thought that they were all really interesting and entertaining as well. I especially loved London's friend Nina and London's brother Austin. I would love to see more of those two as well as the rest of London's brothers. To me, this book had everything that I look for in an entertaining book and I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a light and fun read. Fans of the Bachelor and Bachelorette will really love this book, but I think that this is one that pretty much anyone can enjoy. Beau and London's story is one that I won't soon forget, and I can't wait to go back and reread it. I look forward to reading more from T.A. Foster in the future.
London Falling is based around a Uni project in communications and social media class. Each person was assigned a partner and each pair would be given a different reality show, the students need to use different communication theories that they had learnt in class and put them into play whilst building up their project. You had to somehow rebuild or create similar situations that are shown in the reality show you have been given and then answer the question..How real are reality shows?
'You can't find love if your heart doesn't want to walk the journey.'
London is dreading this class and the strange projects, this is her last class she needs to complete and get an A on so she can pursue her acting dream. She loves drama, acting is her passion and she is totally at home on stage. It's all she can focus on but things start to change when she starts this project with Beau.
Beau is a fun-loving, make-the-most-of-any-situation kind of guy with a hint of bad boy.He is different, a care-free blogger with a mission to complete his senior "bucket list".His blog posts are read by many students and he is somewhat popular with all his connections and getting people to help him out in situations.
London wants to move away after graduation and Beau has his own path he wants to follow. So what will happen when their project is based around a dating show and they have to go out on dates? Is falling in love so simple or will they just end up broken hearted when it all ends?
Reading the synopsis and seeing the ratings,I thought this would be a great read.I liked how this book was different, it really had potential but I felt like a lot of things were missing. And I didn't feel any sort of connection with the characters. There weren't any big moments, twists or something that grasps the reader.
I hated how London was so focused on her acting career and her future and I just wanted to shake her and tell her to wake up, open your eyes and see what is right in-front of you! I wanted to know more about Beau, more about his background I wish they had connected on a deeper level. This wasn't a brilliant book in my opinion but it was okay and there were parts which I found fun and enjoyable.

Much as I’m not a fan of reality TV, I found the concept of it for London Falling really charming and even more so because it’s coupled with the equally charming characters of our two protagonists. The dynamic between Beau and London is the most fun to watch from the moment the two met for the first time. The witty dialogues and jokes also make this for a much lighter novel than most NA's these days. I love that I can just sit back, smile and relax while reading this instead of stressing myself out because of the drama. It doesn't mean to say that London Falling has no depth though for it just doesn't dwell much in dark pasts and other life aspects that are commonly seen in heavy realistic fiction.
I found myself breezing through London Falling not only because the story is exciting for me but also because it's so easy to read. The dialogues are light and they all feel so natural that they just flow through and before I know it, I'm almost done reading the book. The characters, major and secondary alike, are fun to read about most of the time but they are not ones without flaws and sometimes their decisions are hard to justify. It wouldn't also hurt to have more prominent growth in the characters. I loved the friendships in this book though and I especially liked Nina among the secondary characters. Professor Garcia seems cool as well and I would love to have even more of the professor in the book.
Another thing I enjoyed about London Falling is the *ahem* sexy scenes, lol. Beau is already sexy in his own right but when with London, the sexiness seems to intensify. Talk about tension! Really, T.A. knows how to tease. *wink* I also like that London and Beau’s characters are opposites – this kind of pairing never ceases to make me happy and T.A. knows how to work it!
London Falling is a story about friendship, life, love and decision-making. It's a short, fun and easy read with a fast paced plot, great setting and an interesting set of characters that you won’t be able to help but root for.
Rating: 3.5/5 stars

A nesklamalo ma to. Bolo to niečo nové a svieže.
Čo sa týka London, zo začiatku som mala zmiešané pocity. Nevedela som presne, do ktorej kategórie hrdiniek by som ju zaradila.
A litmus test for me is if while I’m reading a book I get the urge to scope out the ending/spoilers for the book. If I get this urge I know I am in for a fantastic read and that was definitely the case with this one!
It did not take long for the itch, a few subtle things were mentioned and it took a crazy amount of self control to not go grab the spoilers to calm the wave of ‘oh-craps’ and the doom ridden scenarios that were running rampant through my mind! I am glad I refrained though.
Reality TV and me are good friends, besties even, and if this class was offered near me I would sign up just for it! I loved trying to figure out which shows in the book matched up with the real shows. Love Match = Bachelor(ette), Lion’s Den = Dragon’s Den), The Island = Survivor, Roommates = Big Brother. It was such a fun concept for a book and I love how it forced London and Beau to recreate these over-the-top dating scenarios without it being cheesy. I mean it was cheesy in a purposeful cheese way. Reading how they tried to debunk this show and yet were developing feelings was really good!
London was also a refreshing character. She was not haunted by some horrible encounter years ago that has shaped her. She’s the girl most of us have run into and are friends with and I liked that. It was fun not being pulled down this rabbit hole of despair, though it is my favorite hole to go down.
This book was full of heart, playful dialogue and interactions and lovable characters!
Okay, I give it 3 stars. It was an okay-ish book, but it didn't seem like they were college students to me. At the start of the book, I actually thought that they were high school seniors and not college seniors because both of the characters seemed a bit childish, I don't know. The concept of the story was good, and that was why I decided to read it. If I were London, I would've fallen for Beau as well. But London was so indecisive and I get that she wanted to go to LA to fulfill her dreams but she was also being a whole lot selfish. Beau was patient with her, although, it was also very hard to tell how Beau felt about her because of Beau's actions. It was a short book, but I still skipped some parts and I think the spark and the connection between London and Beau lacked. I didn't get to know Nina that much and their other friend and there were a lot of things that weren't resolved, like how Nina was head over heels for Derek but then suddenly moved on to Austin and then their other friend's (I forgot the name, sorry) relationship with Pearce. And I think it's pretty stupid of Beau to stop studying just so that he can be with London, especially because they have only been together for one semester and nothing more. It was okay-ish but I won't read it again.
London Falling was a cute and funny romance by T.A. Foster. I wish I would have had a class like Communication 224 when I was in college. A different project like this every semester sounds fun. I enjoyed London and Beau's story. I really liked how Beau brought London out of her box, at the same time she made him realize things about his own life too. The romance happened a little faster than I expected it to, but London and Beau are good for each other, and they have heaps of chemistry. The overall pacing of the story was fast, or at least it seemed fast since I could barely put it down until I was finished. I really enjoyed London Falling, and I'm curious to check out more of T.A. Foster's books.
