This is probably my favourite book of 2023. It is a book that I have wanted to be available for years. This is a short, accessible, biblical, theologically rich, experiential book on communion with Christ.

This little rocket of a book takes us through the nine “You will” promises of Jesus in Johns Gospel. It is beautifully written, with some honest, autobiographical accounts, that encourages and invites us into intimacy with God.

Wonderful.

Great little book encouraging us to consider and understand more of the heartwarming truths of the "me-in-you-and-you-in-me" relationship we can have with God through Jesus. Big recommend!

This book is an exploration of the 'you will' sayings of Jesus in John's gospel. It is essentially a glorious invitation to come and see what the eternal life Jesus brings really is all about. It’s born out of both rigorous exegesis and personal experience, rendering it both biblical and practical.

What can sharing in the life of Jesus look & feel like? Clive Bowsher guides us through beautiful moments in John's gospel where Jesus explains how living one with Him changes everything.

The book gives lots of real life examples, and I appreciated that at the end of each short chapter, there's a reflection activity to remind you of the point - we've been given a real relationship with God to experience!

Topics include love, worship, obedience, nearness & intimacy, purpose, life and death, freedom and prayer. If you're feeling sluggish, weary, a bit flat or just wondering if there's more to being a Christian, this book will be a comfort and a spur to joyfully remain where Jesus has placed us - in Him.

This book primarily explores the theme of unity with Christ through the gospel of John. It is a short and easy read, and that is one of its merits. We need more books like this that get at the heart of the gospel and remind us the deeply comforting and mindblowing truth that He is in us and we are in Him. I wish Goodreads let you give half stars, because this really is a 4.5

A heart-warming exploration of the "you will" statements of Jesus, and what they mean for the believer. The me-in-you-and-you-in-me love we experience as Christians really is a joy, vine life really is better, and being one with Jesus really does change everything.
