A Smoky Mountain Christmas by Carol De Vaney. Falling in love wasn't in Tina's plans. She'd survived the snowstorm, but could she survive the love of recently divorced Hank Gordon who's sworn off women?
E. Ayers is a true believer in love at first sight because it happened to her, she thinks everyone should find that special someone. When it happens, it's magical. Writing about that love is what she enjoys doing and when she's not spending time with her two dogs and waiting on his royal highness (the cat), she's busy writing. The official matchmaker for all the characters who wander through her brain, she likes finding just the right ones to create a story.
She writes a slice-of-life novel, the romantic slice in two characters lives. In today's world, most people have careers and responsibilities. Figuring out how to blend two separate lives into one can be a huge dilemma. No one is perfect. She brings that into what she writes.
The fantasy of a handsome hunk who will sweep the damsel off her feet and carry her off to a castle in the clouds is still there, but that castle is probably a condo. And that damsel isn't going to be persuaded by a few smooth lines.

I chose this collection for two reason (1) I love Christmas stories (2) Tori Scott wrote the first story and I trust that if she is part of the collection, it is worth reading. I enjoyed the stories but there were a couple that stand out as my favorites. My other favorite was by a new-to-me author E. Ayers. I will be following the Creeds Crossing stories and, I suspect, many more of her books.
The Christmas Wish by Tori Scott is the kind of story that Christmas romances should be. It is warm and hopeful and beautiful. Merry is not a big fan of the secular side of the holiday until she falls into Santa's lap and discovers that the holiday how wonderful holidays, and life, can be.
A Snowy Christmas in Wyoming by E. Ayers is a warm and beautiful modern western of two people with great strength and great hearts. I will admit that when Caroline and Andy first encountered each other, I was turned off by her attitude, but it didn't take long for her nature decency to show through and from then on I rooted for her all the way. Along with her I fell in love with Andy and his adorable daughter and stood indignant at he treatment in the town. I love when someone stands up for the underdog and wins!
Her Christmas Cruise by Mona Risk was a lot of fun, and I have to read the story behind Paige and Ryan's relationship in A Christmas Baby. Stephanie Queen's works are always more than worth a read. Enjoy these and all the other holiday stories and discover the fun for yourself.
I choose this bundle of Christmas novels because I wanted to get in the mood for the holiday season, and wanted uplifting and happily ever after stories. I was not disappointed! There were several of the stories that were very touching, but I especially fell in love with the very last book: "A Smokey Mountain Christmas by Carol DeVaney (copyright 2011).Most of the stories were short and sweet. It was a great Barnes and Nobel Nook book bundle, and a great bargain. Would recommend to all who like short, seasonal love stories around the Christmas holidays.
Christmas on Main Street is a great collection of authors who have a wonderful ability to make you want more. There are 11 stories and they all are outstanding by themselves but when you put them together it makes for an outstanding collection. Can't wait to see what else these authors have for me to read.
This is a collection. This was a great value when I purchased it. I sat and devoured the stories in practically no time. (Okay, maybe not that fast.) Most of the stories were riveting and highly entertaining. In spite of having read at least one of the stories before, I enjoyed this collection of heart warming stories. They vary in length and complexity which, for me, added to the pleasure.
I enjoyed all the stories in this collection. A great mix of romance, intrigue, and animal lovers. Some brought tears and some had their funny side, but all ended with warm fuzzy feelings of Christmas.
A sweet collection of Christmas romances that were a perfect pasttime during the twelve days of Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed all but one of the stories, and you can't get much better than that. Thanks to the authors for this wonderful collection.
This book had several heartwarming stories around the Christmas time. They were written well by various authors and all had a good pots. Plot so we’re easy enough to figure out so you could just read and enjoy the story. The characters all seem realistic, and I enjoyed this book immensely.
This first book was very good. It was about a broken engagement, a cruise, and a doctor who fixed a broken heart and their adventure in Rome. A very feel good book.
Read some last year and did not review. I will review them when I reread them. This is what I have so far:
Small Town Glamour Girl Christmas by Stephanie Queen. 4-5 stars. I enjoyed this one. The characters were well developed and flowed well.
The Christmas Gift by Pepper Phillips. 2 stars. Did not flow well and was definitely NOT a Christmas story. Didn’t have a definitive ending. Seemed to be disjointed.
A Potters Woods Christmas by Leigh Morgan 3 Stars. It was interesting and some characters were developed. I felt like I was missing a lot having not read any of the series before this story.
A Baby for Christmas by Susan R. Hughes 5 Stars. Perfect Holiday Read. Well-developed characters and storyline. Struggles to overcome and a good ending.
A Light in the Christmas Cafe by Kristy Tate 3 Stars Good story overall with a good message. The characters could have developed better. I was not invested soon enough. It has a good and a bit of a twist ending.
I did not enjoy this collection of books at all. No felt the stories dragged out too long. Most I stopped after the 2nd or 3rd chapter because I just couldn't take it any more.
I liked all 11 stories. One or two I dislike as much as the others, but overall good reads. I will be looking for more books from some of these authors.
