SPOILER FREE REVIEW -mature content reader discretion is advised. 3.5 STARS out of 5 Genre: YA Romance
There are simply no words enough to describe how sexy he is, especially when he throws his head back as he comes, his hand moving fast--- “Senpai?” I look at him guiltily. Exasperation lines his voice as he asks, “You were fantasizing again?” “Sorry,” I answer shamefacedly. “Force of habit.” ~KC and Yuki
She's a good girl with a secret... Katerina Chariot is the good girl, so good in fact she can't even curse properly. Instead of swearing like the typical American with words like shit fuck or ass. When she goes to curse she finds herself suddenly spouting British swear words. Crazy I know, but hey that's her habit none the less. Katerina is known affectionately as KC and loves to fantasize about the hot guys in her school. KC also draws inspiration from her sexual fantasies to use for her mangaka comics.
'In my fantasies, it’s always just the hot guy and me. Everything’s sizzling and steamy, with all the groaning and writhing naked bodies you’d expect from a smutty romantic Japanese comic book. It’s called a shoujo manga, actually, and it’s the kind I’m hoping I can draw one day.' ~Inner monologue of Katerina
Mangaka is a style of Japanese comic art. KC is an aspiring artist and shoujo manga is her specialty. Lines get blurred during a fantasy in class for Katerina. Her object of affection catches his name coming from her lips.
Yuki Humura a classmate who is half-Japanese half-Russian hears her moaning his name out loud in class and decides to take matters in to his own hands. Literally.
'Of all the beautiful guys in the Immaculate Heart Academy – and there are a lot – Yuki has been my favorite since he transferred barely a year ago. Yuki is tall, buffed, and gorgeous: all essential elements that have made him material-worthy for my fantasies. ~Inner monologue of Katerina
He is what wet dreams are made of... Yuki is one of the hottest guys in school all every girl at school wants to be his girlfriend but Yuki doesn't do the girlfriend thing... Nope, Yuki prefers to have toys. Toy's meaning girls he can play with bringing both him and the girl pleasure. Sexually.
Once Yuki is aware of KC's...interest he wants her as his new toy.
“So, senpai, how long have you been thinking about having sex with me?” ~Yuki
SIDE NOTE: This is my Yuki minus the trademark blue eyes.
Katerina agrees to be Yuki's toy. Unfortunately she also agrees to keep it a secret. This makes seeing Yuki in school hard; especially when he is being groped by different girls on a daily basis.
“So…what about you? Boundaries?” “Just one, senpai.” “Aaaand?” He says almost sadly, “Just don’t fall in love with me.” Oh. ~Katerina and Yuki
I love you... One thing Katerina knows she is happy about is Yuki and all the pleasure he brings. Keeping her virginity in tact has Yuki playing sex games. Sex games that leave her on edge and constantly horny. She starts to use Yuki as her her muse for Mangaka comics. And things are going well until Katerina's dad gets home. Her dad, Jason, is a theology teacher traveling often comes with the job. And no, he may not be a preachy dad towards her but she still finds it hard to be the "free spirited wild child" she plays in her fantasies.
Her fun and games take a turn when Jason returns from an out of town event, only to discover his sweet innocent daughter is not so sweet and innocent. Katerina admits to loving Yuki amidst the commotion with her dad, SHOCKING Yuki.
It's the one thing he told her to never do...
My Thoughts I had a hard time rating this. Did I like it? Yes. I think this book is best suited for anyone 17 and older that enjoys their YA's to be on the spicy side. I thought the writing was okay. I kind of got annoyed with the usage of Yuki's term of endearment for Katerina, "Senpai." Yeah, it was cute and all he just said it... A LOT. Also the scene changes was a little rough. I found it to sometimes be sudden/abrupt leaving me to reread scenes. So I definitely thought that could have been done a little smoother. Overall I found it was a fun read!
My Ratings Characters- Likeable Writing Style- Good Plot/Storyline- Fun Steam Factor- High/Very Steamy Overall- I liked it! Now go forth and read. Then come tell us about it on Goodreads! For more reviews got to http://realitybites-letsgetlost.blogs...

As I start this review, I am still not quite sure what to say. I cant help but wonder if I went to high school in another dimension... was ten years ago a different dimension?
I think I wanted to be put off by this book, but wasnt. Lol. Staying up until 4 a.m. to finish reading is just not something I do for bad books.
The plot was not entirely original; rich, sexually astute male seduces the beautiful yet awkward virgin. We have seen it.... HOWEVER the setting is new, and a bit more than unsettling at first. High School. I was by no means a prude in HS (sorry mom) but holy hannah I never came across anything like this!
Katerina/KC/Senpai is a 17 yr old virgin daughter of a theology professor, with an eye for mangaka. I am still not 100% sure what that is exactly but its a lot sexy. She adores all things Japanese...
Enter, Yuki. Half Japanese, half Russian, 100% 16 yr old hunk heartthrob millionaire. That was hard to write, whereas I am not old enough to be his mom I could be is really older sister. There were times I loved him, or at least liked him a lot, and other times I wanted smack the sh-- out of him! Poor Yuki is pretty messed up.
Theirs is quite the tumultuous relationship... erm, arrangement? I dont know where to begin to describe it. Its Christian & Ana for teenagers. Where they dont actually have sex, there is plenty of talk and acts leading up to it.
Without my even being aware it drew me in and swept me away. This is a NINJA book, very sneaky indeed. If you are looking for something other than the typical cookie cutter plot, with a very unique set of characters, something that will have your head in shambles for a bit... THIS IS YOUR BOOK! Ms. Tee your ability to form unique characters with funny quirks and heart breaking flaws, leaves me in awe of you! My hats off. Bloody, bloody, bloody.
3 out of 5 stars. My asian CONfusion and a few holes held back a star. I need to know more of WHY/how this girl knows more about Japan than she has a right to. I was so confused.
Words are not enough to describe my love for this book..... I venture into this book with the hopes that i would like it even though it's not about vampires, weres, angels, sirens and the likes. And i was not dissapointed cause i didnt just like it. I loved it! What really drew me in this book aside from the intriguing plot was the fact that there's some Japanese element in here and how unique KC's character is. A heroine who's supposed to be a goody two shoes but often ends up fantasizing about every man candy that walks her way? Definitely a fresh idea. (For me anyway)
I love KC's character she's sweet, sexy, and hot... yep just like God Yuki said.. hahaha and Of course Yuki.... ohh Yuki... i love how godly he is.. (see what i did there? Just like KC said. Haha) Although i'm a little bit miffed about how Yuki thinks nothing about sex... But his sweetness more than makes up for it. The way he does these things for KC without even realizing its sweet and heart melting are absolutely cute!! I love the way he said saying i love you was uncool. That was the first time i actually viewed him as a 16 year old...
the last parts where they were on the rocks totally give me a heartache. every words i read feels like a hand was slowly squeezing my heart. It pains me to see Yuki when he asked KC to be his gf. and she refused it was one of the most heart wrenching scene for me. But i was also happy that KC finally stood up in the end and told herself that enough is enough... That she wouldnt stay with Yuki if it just means being his toy. I love how everything got resolved in the end... But seriously Ms. MARIAN TEE!! we disnt even get to witness their first love making!!! That's the only thing that sucks for me. Hahaha. All in all im glad i convinced myseld to try this one cause i dont think ill be able to live with myself if i didnt!. (
I just finished reading this story last night!! And it is a great story.
Yuki Himura is our beloved hero. Japanese, sexy, gorgeous, dark haired and baby blue eyed god. Delicious. Yummy..... He is a little bit different than our normal high school boy as he is an Asian, looks like an angel but yet inside is a demon. Tsk tsk tsk. But I love him as he is so sweeeeeettttt.
KC is a great girl. A little bit dirty minded but funny and interesting. I keep laughing when she fantasizes something stupid about Yuki.
I love that the Vampire Knight cosplay as I also love that manga. But I think Yuki should cosplay as Kaname though as Kaname is the sadist one. But Zero is okay.
Overall, I think it's a good story of New Adult... ^v^
If I read about one more person saying this is just like Fifty Shades of Gray, I will go crazy! Can't people ever stop comparing books / movies / songs / artists? It's getting old and annoying.
I need book two now! This book was, hot, hot, hot & naughty!
I liked it very much. Course, it's a bit strange to think of that kind of affection & action when it comes to teenagers, but it was exciting.
Drawn: His Secret Toy was a lovely little hidden gem of a book. I enjoyed reading it immensely despite the fact that I can't relate with the heroine much at all. Unlike a lot of books these days, the ending was actually good, and the Vampire Knight references were <3333. It would've reached a 5 star rating, but well, there were a handful of personal pet peeves that I developed while reading Drawn, including (but not limited to) the Yeearghs, the continual outlook of Yuki being a god, and the Shinjo Mayu references. Overall: Wonderfully humorous YA romance novel, can't wait for the next book of the series! Keep them coming Ms. Tee~ :)
I know I shouldn’t like this as much as I do but *shrugs*.
I’ve read this three times despite the fact I don’t like anything else this author writes. Hello new cover and hello sequel I didn’t know existed. Another re-read planned and book two afterwards.
The pretty cover hooked me then the title, but the story was improbable and ridiculous. This was young adult smut, whole story was about Yuki and KC attempting to have sex but they never do, just a lot of dry humping. KC is a senior in high school, likes to draw naughty manga and all around good, virgin girl. Yuki is a junior in high school, good looking and womanizing. Yuki catches KC moaning his name in class and becomes intrigued by her, then askes her to be his sex toy. KC, so overwhelmed by his good looks, agrees. Considering KC likes to read and draw hentia (very sexually explicit manga) and has sexual fantasies about Yuki (and other boys from school), she is very prudish and repressed. She can't say breast or nipple, an is always shocked when Yuki tries to touch her or says dirty things to her. It was cute in the begining but got old fast, she didn't mature at all. Yuki has an interesting family dynamic, which didn't get resolved. I see this is a series so maybe in the next book. When KC and Yuki break off their arrangement, her best friends push her to forgive Yuki. Why was no one outraged on KC's behalf? Yuki behaved badly and hurt KC so horribly, that she thought of herself as a slut. This was just too unrealistic for me.
When I started reading this one i was really..really excited, I'm such an otaku I even tried to learn nihongo, yup tried and failed lols my memory is not so good O,O so I just managed to learn few basic japanese words despite all the dictionaries and japanese-learning-videos I manage to collect, what can I say watching an anime will definitely inspire you to try and do lots of crazy things :D so anyways ,what I'm trying to say is I'm extremely please upon learning that the main guy character in this book is someone like Yuki, a half Japanese half Russian with baby blue eyes, did I say japanese?♥ *swoon ahem *fangirlscreaminghere , he was a jerk but damn he's also hot and (keyword) he's half japanese ..lols and Katerina is funny and pervy :P
so yeah.. I really like Drawn♥ It's hot and It's sexy :D wish it was longer, I would kill for an epilogue :> ..plus I do love the book cover..♥
At first I really didn't know how to rate this book but bottom line is I really liked it so there you go 4 stars! :)
To be honest during the first few chapters I was iffy about continuing reading since I was getting the "fifty shades" vibe and I was disturbed since this was set in high school, I love fifty but in high school!? Anyways I'm so glad I continued, the book turned out way better than I expected! There were parts that made me laugh so hard my mom had to knock and ask what was up with me since I was awake and reading this until 2 in the morning! I love the manga references and Vampire Knight is one of my favorite manga/anime of all time! And Yuki cosplaying as Zero.... LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
I like that there is no full sex cheating but the H treats her like shit and is hot and cold all the time. Then he basically tells her she is nothing to him and he feels nothing. Then she catches him kissing a skank and calling her his pet name for the h. Asshole. It's a HEA but he's asshole a lot. He does have sweet moments too. I know, rollercoaster. He's sorry and cares about her but calls her his toy. And he means it how it sounds. She agrees because she is drawn to him and falls in love with him. He apologizes to her and explains but I hate that she saw him with the other girl, even though he did it on purpose to push her away. Idk, this is textbook Marian so I expected it I guess. She makes me fall in love, tear my hair out, sob, and then...exhale.

I kind of accidentally fell into this novel and honestly didn't expect to like it and thought I would spend most of my time skimming it. I was so wrong! This was a really great story and I enjoyed it a lot. I did think that the author's need to point out how Japanese Yuki is was a little overdone though. We get it. He's half Japanese, no need to repeat it every couple of chapters, lol. Other than that and some occasional editing oversights, I really did like it and would definitely check out any future contemporaries the author may put out.
This is a great story since it feels so real. There are just a few scenes, probably 2 or 3 in the whole book that I couldnt imagine happening, but the rest are fine. I really like Yuki but at some point he's just too mean so there were really times I just wanted the tables turned on him. I would recommend this story just because of how exciting things get between Yuki and KC.
I really love this book. I especially like the part with the manga reference. I like how their relationship turned out from beginning to end. I especially love the characters!
UPDATED February 28, 2012
I just noticed that this is book #1 in other words more books to come. OMG! I can't wait for the rest... I wonder how many books will there be?
This was a slightly unusual YA and I can’t even call it YA to some extent. Despite having highschoolers as main characters, this book was quite mature, nothing too explicit of course, but not very much on the edge. It felt like a more kiddy version of your usual post Fifty Shades of Grey boom book with a younger cast of characters. Nevertheless, I liked it – a lot. It had its issues and, honestly, wasn’t entirely too realistic, but I had a lot of fun with it, especially, due to not taking it overly seriously. If you don’t overanalyze it, this will turn out to be a great guilty pleasure read.
I was pleasantly surprised how the colorful world of drawing manga, cosplay, anime/manga festivals and diverse things Japanese were woven into and at the center of the story. It was rather refreshing also, because I haven’t come across it being explored in such depth and context. All talk of various manga and anime related topics, however, may be difficult to understand to those who are not familiar with this subculture and the references and meaning will be lost, but still, it’s a bonus and not the only aspect that carries this story.
This read a lot like a smutty shoujo manga (one of its representative mangaka Mayu Shinjo, by the way, also being a great role-model to our heroine). You have the sinfully sexy and devious hottie throwing his claws inside our virginal and spunky, but oh so willing and curious heroine for some “fun times” by “blackmailing” her or just seducing her with one smoldering look! Of course, the girl has long dreamed and crushed on this hunk of a boy and with the case of Katerina, she had been quite NC-17 with her daydreams of Yuki. Come to think of it, she was considerably more dirty-minded than him. I approve!
Characters:
Katerina was and then again wasn’t your usual quircky cutie heroine. I liked that she had a passion for drawing manga and becoming a mangaka, she breathed that lifestyle. Her devotion and crush on Yuki was adorable and I’m glad she kept her backbone when dealing with him even though she a couple of breakdown moments. She went slightly overboard inside her dirty mind but, overall, it was interesting to read about a heroine who wasn’t absolutely clueless or too wholesome (at least inside her thoughts). A really likable and distinct heroine.
Yuki – hentai! – a horny hunk, who, as your usual hotties has inner struggles and various issues that make him act as he does in an unhealthy and douchebaggy fashion towards himself and eventually towards the heroine. I was actually very fond of Yuki and not only because he was Japanese/Russian – quite an unusual background which definitely adds to his appeal though. Yes, he was as he was and his scars didn’t erase how he behaved and the choices he made, but there was simply something likeable about him. A seemingly good, smart and polite boy with a wicked inside, or just a mischievous side brought out by Katerina.
I also have to mention that the parents in this book weren’t your typical bunch so again something out of the usual format. A character I was surprised I loved, however, was Katerina’s best friend, she was so uniquely hilarious. This book was full of women with a specific passions and interests, I’ll tell you that.
Overall:
A YA that is almost nothing like other YA and, as mentioned, it doesn’t fully qualify to me as a YA anyway, it’s just more spicy and daring. Nevertheless, a fun read with distinct but familiar characters that I recommend especially if you like smutty shoujo manga.
I have to start off by saying that I'm having some trouble with how to categorise this book. It's classed as YA. The characters are in high school. But it's way hotter than anything that I've ever read that is YA before. But it's not as wordy or descriptive as New Adult, so I suppose if I had to slot it in somewhere I would put it in a class all of it's own in the middle of Young Adult and New Adult. But putting labels aside...
I like to Fantasize about hot guys. But sometimes the guilt gets to me so that I tell myself it's a necessity. I love to draw. I'm fairly good at it, yet when it comes to scenes where my characters feel a desperate urge to bang each other my fingers refuse to move until I'm properly turned on.
That's the first paragraph in the book. If the book description didn't clue me in then after reading just those four sentences I knew that Drawn was going to be something completely different!!!
Katerina Chariot is a good girl. She is sweet and innocent. So much so that she can't even bring herself to swear unless she's using british swear words. At least that's what everyone thinks. But Katerina has a secret. She fantasises about hot boys at her school. The boy that features in her latest fantasies is her classmate Yuki Himura. But he's about to be made aware of her secret fantasies when she moans his name in class one day. And so Yuki has a proposition for her... Become his toy!! But he has one rule. She must not fall in love with him!!
Drawn is told from Kat's point of view. She is a mangaka and she takes inspiration for her drawings from her fantasies. Fantasising comes so easy to her and even more so when she is living out these fantasies with Yuki. She is a real contradiction. She is such a strong character but she is also vulnerable and worries what others think of her. But she can be tough when she needs to be.
I loved Yuki!! He is confident, self assured and deliciously wicked. He is a master of seduction!! He knows what he wants from Kat as his toy and has no problem in telling her. He also knows just the right thing to say and the right way to touch and tease. But he also has a strong jealous streak. And he's been carrying around some pretty heavy baggage which has seen him put up walls so that people don't get too close. There is also another side to Yuki. He is sweet and thoughtful and caring. But don't tell him he's any of those things because he won't be impressed. And did I mention that I loved him!!!
Drawn also had a whole lot of really funny moments and I found myself having a good laugh on more than one occasion. Add into that all the Manga references, and to be honest I hadn't delved into Manga at all besides knowing the very basics, but after reading Drawn it will be something that I definitely have a closer look at. The Manga also added it's own distinct uniqueness to the story.
Marian Tee has without a doubt created a book that I can see myself reading on more than one occasion. An original storyline, fantastic characters and wonderful writing which all pulled together into this book that I absolutely loved!!! And there's going to be a sequel!!! Happy dance!!! I will definitely be picking up the other books written by this author!!
Meet KC, a girl with a very active imagination when it comes to sex, a girl who turns British when she swears. She is actually a mangaka, a person drawing manga (Jap comics). She is fantasizing over a half Jap-half Russian Junior. Well, nothing is wrong with that right? But her problem err, pleasure started with that, when she accidentally moan in front of Yuki and their teacher.
I love KC's character... because, I can totally relate to her behavior. I find myself in her, but not everything, just most of her character! Haha! I know what you are thinking. Haha! I don't want to remunerate it here For my beloved reputation haha!
I can't take off the grin on my face while reading this one. not only because of the naughtiness of the story but, I find it funny. Really, I'm glad I took the warning not to read this on public place. Haha! Well, as far as I can remember this is the second novel that made me laugh out loud (really!). I can never forget KC's suicidal letter to her Beloved Reputation. You also better watch out for Yuki's one liners. Especially when he said her girls buy it for him (you should read it, to know what I mean). Haha! And lots of funny scenes. You better read it!
As for the steamy scenes, well they are hot and steamy, even though KC and Yuki are not really into 'S'... their Steamy scenes are much more than 'S' itself. Marian I salute for your creative mind.
The author is also successful in moving me to tears. Jason is a very loving father... sob, sob, sob
Before the ending, I felt like I was part of the story, I felt when KC remembers everything from the start it felt like ages ago, like my own memory. But the truth I just read it last night.
The writing style and plot, well, it made feel like reading a shoujo manga minus the drawings.
Even though I very like it, there are downs too:
There are lot of typos but it can be ignored most of the times. Some are made me confused.
I got frustrated when Lace and Jace's name are in the conversation... I got bloody confused!! It is not recommended for dyslexic person. I think I have minor dyslexia. Arrgh!
Oh. Em. Gee. I freaking loved this! I am so glad the author send me her book and that I accepted it for review. So a huuuuuuuuuge thanks to Marian Tee! :D
Before starting this book I thought what will I get myself into this time? My friend Jenn (from Simply Young Adult) had already read the book and loved it so I was pretty sure I was going to love it myself, but still there were some doubts as there always are (which are totally gone now, by the way).
Right from the start I loved it. To me it had a little bit of a Fifty Shades kinda feel. And yes, this is a good thing because I loved Fifty Shades of Grey. Yuki definitely reminded me of a mini Christian. So darn cute! But Drawn wasn't all Fifty Shades, it's a book all of its own. So original and fast paced and so hot! So, yes, I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Yuki. I loved that he was half japanese/half russian! How can you not love Yuki? It's no wonder KC fell hard for him. I even fell for him! I was really sad for the crap he goes through with his family, especially his awful mother! She's so horrible... *shudders*
I am not into manga at all but I found myself enjoying all the references around it. I did not understand all of it but I'm definitely intrigued. I would like to read some, may it be smutty or not. ;)
Our heroine, KC (Katerina), was really fun to read about. I really liked her. I loves that she draws manga, so that's got cool point only for being able to do that. She was kinda spunky, but in other ways definitely innocent. And the one thing that always made me laugh was that when she gets mad and starts cussing she goes all brit. Bloody hilarious!
You can probably guess that Yuki was my favorite character but I also immensely enjoyed some of the more side characters like KC's best friend. She was really fun! I also loved Jace, who draws graphic novels. He was hilarious. I loves how he got punched in the face trying to protect KC from it. KC's parents in my eyes were kinda weird (in a good way though). Definitely not what you expect of normal parents. Especially her mom. Funny woman she was. lol.
So overal, I was really impressed by how good this story was. Not only the sexy, dirty scenes, which were pretty awesome alone but the emotional part of this book was really well written also. I can't wait to read more in this series.
Mi Dios! Oh my God! I was hesitant on reading the book at first, yet I followed my instinct and did so anyways. I must say, this a great book with refreshing characters. A book that has a different point of view of an adolescent with desires. She's cute, funny and so lovable. You can laugh your heart out with her thoughts. Which means the writer did a great job introducing us to her world of perviness and inoscence all mixed up in a great ball of confusion. Maybe the "God" term was a little abusive. But other than that I totally adore her. The mangaka knowledge is a good thing that the writer exploits very well, which I didn´t expect because many writers just forget that maby they could do some research before writing about something that certain circles will criticize. Regardding Yuki...Well I´m speechless. Although the "Senpai" term is a little irritating at the begining, I eventually got used to it. He is just like a manga character, maby a little more human. Very rare in romance novels, because I read both. He is refreshing in this romance novel world. Definitely not a hero in any way. He is beautifuly full of flaws and perviness. He is a man and a boy all in one. Hell knows I´d melt if he really existed. I just welcome Yuki to this genre of books with a bow. Interesting, eadible, lovable, sexy, cute, dramatic intriguing character. Perfect couple! Thats my view anyway... Let me give you a fantasy gift for how I think Yuki should look like in real life.
Books with a premise just like this one usually have me rolling my eyes or shaking my head in disgust. The unecessary drama is sometimes too much for me to bear and I end up hating the book. Surprisingly, Drawn: His Secret Toy worked out for me. I loved the characters and their unlikely romance. I found their interactions hilarious and well thought-out. I even enjoyed the drama - something that rarely happens. The story was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I loved every minute of it.
Yuki and KC's story kind of resembled a tamer version of Ana and Christian's from Fifty Shades of Grey. Yuki referred to KC as his "toy" or "sexual plaything" and nothing more. They were on a no-strings attached basis, but with the way Yuki treated her - all sweet, and caring and gentle - and after the things they did together - not just counting the activities that were intimate - KC couldn't help falling for Yuki. I couldn't even help falling for him, even when he acted like a total arse sometimes. I think his endearment for her - "senpai." - was what did it.
With all that being said, I'm overly-excited about the release of book two and salivating at the idea of a hot European dude starring in the sequel. I don't even care if it's no longer about Yuki and KC, I like the author's writing and I want to read more of her works.
I just could not let myself pass up the chance to write a book review for this book! I can't help myself! It's like , Yuki, trying to taunt me with his magnetic baby blues.... Now I know how KC felt.
I love this book to death! I love the humor and I especially love the banter between Yuki and KC. I often laugh out loud in my room. I guess it's a good thing that I did not read this book in public.
The characters are easy to love and I highly enjoy their unique personalities. KC reminds me of myself, because once upon a time I wanted to be a mangaka as well. And the scariest part is that I'm a huge Mayu Shinjo fan, as well. As the story progresses you can truly see how Yuki has changed her. She's like a flower slowly blooming in the hands of a god- I meant in the hands of Yuki.
Yuki is the perfect prince that everyone adores and fantasied by every girl, especially by KC. He really is swoon worthy and very sneaky when it comes to being sweet.
Their first encounter was hilarious. It definitely pulled me in to read more, and expect more hilarious and swoon worthy scenes as you progress through the story.
The author doesn't use complicated words so this book is easy to understand, people might be confused in some Japanese words/terms but other than that, it's a breeze to read.
Definitely going to read more from this author! And hoping to see more of Yuki!
I really loved this bookie!! Of course you need to be mature to read this book as well the subject is well sex, and Yuki oh lord have mercy on me, "you don't understand, senpai." He pinches my cheeks - hard enough to make me yelp. "I told you I don't want to share my toy. If people ever start seeing us together too often, they're going to look at you more and more. And if you keep on with your fantasies, then the may catch you looking like you're having an orgasm -" I like how Kat (KC) and Yuki act when they're together (sometimes) "Tell me why you want me to take mine off first." A tiny sexy smile appears on his face. "Is it because you want to imagine me naked, senpai? Do you think about touching my---" "Why for the bloody love of hell can you talk so easily about shagging?" I cry out. Yes their relationship is abnormal some might think that's why Yuki breaks my heart in some places in this book, "I'm not into you anymore!" Then he thinks he can make what he's done all better by trying to explain typical man always thinking with his hoo-ha and never with his brain, "I didn't mean to hurt you. I just want you to..." Self-loathing creeps into his voice. "I just wanted you to go away. Because you loving me - I couldn't let myself believe it."
How embarrassed would you be if you unconsciously moaned the name of your crush?
Katerina "KC" Chariot wants to be a shoujo mangaka. Her drawing inspiration mainly comes from fantasies and currently those fantasies are centered around Yuki Himura. He has literally become her drawing muse. Unfortunately one day in class, KC moans Yuki's name and he hears it! This sets Yuki off to make KC his toy and beak the promise she made to her dad.
I absolutely loved this book. I loved how KC struggled with trying to keep a promise but at the same time she wanted to shed off the nice girl image that had been surrounding her for quite some time. At the end of it all, she comes to realize that she does love Yuki (which shocks him) and she tells this to her father.
This book was a fun read but it is geared more for the 17 and over crowd with its mature content. The only thing I had against it was the usage of "Senpai". I know Yuki uses it as an affection towards KC but there was too much of it. A few times, okay, but an overuse of it made me want to duct tape Yuki's mouth. Still I loved this book.

I don't usually read YA books, but to think of it, it's not a YA book, just a book with YA characters. I love reading shoujo mangas, so it's not hard to imagine that the writer was so inspired by them. I mean, the romance, the blackmail, the pretty boy with dual personality, and even the younger H are so typically shoujo manga. Not that I'm complaining. The book is so funny in some parts that people started staring at me when I was giggling reading this book. The humor is so comical, literally. Love this book, even though sometimes I was tempted to put it down JUST because the H is younger (yeah I know, I was being unfair) but I kept reading till the end. Mainly out of curiosity, because I have to admit the characters are so unusual for this kind of book, if it's from Japan, it's another story. Gonna check this author's other books.
