L. Chapman was born in and continues to live in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. She has spent most of her life helping others as a health care assistant, and was, at one time, a DJ for a special needs club. Blending her love of helping others and her love of children, L dreams to one day own and operate a childcare nursery that will help mainstream special needs children with others. In the rare times that L. is not working to help others or maniacally writing, she enjoys making a mess of things while creating beautifully detailed greeting cards. She spends time relaxing with family, friends, and good books. L. loves to travel and has been to many places in the United Kingdom; her favorite places all involve the ocean. She hopes to one day share a kiss with her happily-ever-after in the romantic shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Should she ever get over her fear of flying, those kisses may be shared in the shadows of the Egyptian Pyramids. Ever the fussy eater, L. has never once tasted peanut butter, and she despises coffee. If you should feel the need to bribe her, it is suggested that you bring chocolate, as that is one of her know weaknesses.
Oh wow this is a bittersweet and lovely book. I love reading Christmas books, but this one touched my heart like no other book has. It makes you want to believe in Christmas. L does a fantastic job writing this book. I thought Veiled was my favorite book, nope this one is. The characters are so sweet and the details wow L really knows what she is doing. Her books are always so fast paced and easy to read and follow. Each book gets better and better than the last and the endings always leaving you to want more. I love Megan and Mark’s relationship. The development of their relationship is so sweet, tender and oh they spice it up. Megan has her daughter Lucy now and Megan wants it to be the best Christmas for her since it is her first. But Kate is introduced and OMG I love that little girl. She is definitely a scene stealer. She is adorable and smart. Jenny and Warren’s relationship starts to develop. I adore all the characters and I just can’t wait for more from this author. She is definitely one of my favorite authors. He books are all bittersweet and romantic. A MUST READ BOOK and series.
This was such a sweet and lovely story of family, friends and Christmas. The love and friendship is clear among Megan and Mark's crew. They love each other and look out for each other.
I liked how Mark, Connor, and Warren were with baby Lucy and Kate. They are their princesses. The relationship between Megan and Jen is an amazing true non-blood sisterhood. It's a sweet, sweet story.
Seemed much more believable and the festive feel was just-right. Sweet, short and cinnamon flavoured....a true taste of Christmas with a whole loaf of love chucked in!
review to comeI have received an ARC copy of all book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This series were my first books by Ms Chapman and although I did enjoyed the concept of the books, the style of writing was not really appealing for me.
Trust - Believe #1 - 3,5 stars
In here we meet Megan. Young woman who was hurt by her ex-boyfriend, who left her after she discovered he is married and has kids. The only thing that was left after him, and will change Megan's whole life, is the small person that will be soon born. One night she meets Mark. Handsome and never-giving up man. Straight away she feels the pull towards him. They start off as friends and quickly feelings are developed. Although, I liked Megan, I found her a bit too naive. And Mark? In this book he was a bit way too creepy for me. The way he was scared of loosing Megan after few days of meeting her made my cringe and have shivers. Bad ones.
The book has a lot of potential and if the story was placed within months not days of developing serious feelings it would be perfect.
Veiled - Believe #2 - 4 stars
This story is about Megan's best friend: Jenny. She is 31 days before her wedding with her fiance, Rich. Everything is supposed to be perfect, but Rich is different. He has changed. He doesn't want cuddles, all their routines are different and also their intimate life from being spontaneous changed to quickies. Jenny is depressed because of that. And one night, when Rich is off to Vegas to "think" she meets Warren. Handsome, stubborn. A one night stand changes everything for both of them.
Again this story had so much potential, but again way TOO many things happened way too quickly. I liked Megan's and Jenny's Friendship. You can see that they are really close.
Do you believe - Believe #2.5 - 4 stars
This story was sweet. It's again from POV of Megan. They are all preparing to have Christmas together at Megan's house. Everything would be perfect, but Megan's ex-boyfriend starts to send letters and messages to Lucy, Megan's daughter, saying that he will take full custody of her and they will be together. Again creepy, but this time I like this creepy as something was happening.
Enjoyable short story, full of love, magic and Christmas spirit.
Redeemed - Believe #3 - 4,5 stars
This book was awesome and to be honest it saved the whole series! Here we have suspense, danger and tough choices that Megan has. She is not sure what is best for her and Mark. She is put in the situation where she has to chose between him and her daughter. And despite how much she loves him, Lucy is her world. But of course there is the happy ending, but the road to it is sad and heartbreaking.
I was not sure if I would be able to finish all the books because of the style of the writing. Sometimes I found the sentences not finished or thoughts that were not really well developed. Also First 2 books were written almost like a shopping list. Pointing what has happened. But I have to admit that the writing has improved and I hope Ms Chapman will continue writing because the ideas of the books are good.
A Christmas novella from the Believe Series was the perfect Christmas gift for me. As a huge fan of the series I couldn't wait to get my hands on this baby and now that I have, I couldn't have asked for anything more.
L. Chapman has created a Christmas story involving all my favourite characters from the series and sprinkled in a touch of magic to fill her readers with holiday joy. The detail of Christmas traditions and the emphasis on the importance of spending that time with family and friends really made this story great.
You can see the growth in the characters as the series progresses and this was evident in Mark and Megan's relationship. I loved these two before but we experienced a whole new side of them that was playful and open and wow, did they steam it up in the bedroom department..... well, you can add shower department and strip tease department too.
Being Lucy's first Christmas they wanted to make it special and it was especially when she achieved a major milestone, but I really think that Kate stole the show. Her wonderment, exuberance, selflessness and joy over every detail constantly bought a smile to my face and I loved that we got to see more of Conner and Kate spending time together.
Jenny and Warren are just as amazing as in 'Veiled' and Jenny has moved further into her pregnancy. Warren had me swooning with the way he acted with the kids and his desire to learn how to care for a baby so that he is ready when Jenny gives birth.
The special surprises that they all constantly gave each other demonstrated how much they each meant and how important their relationships are to them.
There was still bits of drama along the way and we are left with questions about the future but really this was just the perfect holiday read. The story flowed easily and just left you with a feeling of contentment. As with book 1 - Trust and book 2 - Veiled, I loved every second and can't wait to get my greedy hands on book 3.
I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
WOW just finish reading this book, and I have to say I have read the first two book in the series and I love them. And this one is just a sweet sexy funny story, and I love it, love the new characters, and love the old characters, I love it how the gang gets together, and we get to know what's going on with them, I am gone keep this short and sweet since I don't want to give anything away.
The story begging with Mark and Megan, when the made love for the first time, they have being together for a while now, and they are happy, its Christmas time and Megan is gone tried to do everything she could to make it her Christmas dream come true. Specially since is Lucy first Christmas, she has prepared everything to have the best Christmas, and to walk Lucy through the magic of that special night, and Mark is right their beside her, and her family and friends are their too, will they have their perfect happy Christmas together.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, I love the way how Mark and Megan are with each other, I love how much they love each other, and love it more how much Mark love Lucy as if she was his, I love it how this has being one happy family.
Author L. Chapman THANK YOU for this awesome series and this amazing characters love them. And cant get enough of them.
In Do you Believe?, readers get to experience Christmas with all of the Believe characters who we have grown to love by reading Trust and Veiled. Ms. Chapman gives readers an inside look at Megan and Mark's loving relationship and happy family with Lucy Doo as well as the continuing love story of Jenny and Warren as they prepare to welcome Jenny's baby boy. We are also able to witness Connor's relationship with his daughter, Kate. What makes this novella an extremely sweet read is little Kate. Kate's young life has already been filled with too much sadness, and the Believe crew goes out of their way to make Kate believe in the magic of Christmas and surround her with all the blessings of the Holiday season. Despite all of the holiday cheer, drama still unfolds: John makes attempts to contact his daughter, and Jenny's family is falling apart. These events need to happen though so they can lay the groundwork for further books. Overall, Do you Believe? is a wonderful holiday read. It's a short, sweet magical story that emphasizes family traditions, both old and new and provides further insight into the loving relationships as well as the potential trouble heading their way.
4 poison apples! (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)
This is a story about friendship at Christmas. Megan wishes that Mark was Lucy's father because he is so good with her. Jenny is pregnant but she has had a miscarriage before so they are keeping a very close watch on her. Megan is trying to make this Christmas really special for Kate because this is the first Christmas that they are going to have her. It is a story of inter-linking characters. Megan is a strong, caring and loving woman. Mark is a very strong and patient man, when it comes to waiting for Megan. Lucy is Megan's daughter she is very sweet and lovable. Jenny is a very strong individual, she is also very loving. Warren is a very strong and caring individual. Conner is a very loving and caring father to Kate who is very sweet and also very shy. The characters act like a big family and support each other. This is a great story. What sold me on the story was how well developed the characters are and how they all fit together really well. I truly enjoyed this book!! I can't wait to read more of L. Champman's work. This is my first book by L. Chapman.
This book follows the characters you know and love from the Believe Series (Trust and Veiled). If you haven't read those books yet, you really need to before starting this one.
Everyone works so hard to make this Christmas special for each other. The unexpected things they did for each other was what made this book. Everyone wanted Kate to have the perfect Christmas with her father. She's been through so much already. She deserved to have a memorable holiday. She's the perfect age for all the magic of Santa.
We really get to know Megan better in this book too. Which was great. Her more fun side came out. She did her best to combine all the Christmas traditions to make it special for everyone.
This book is exactly what a family holiday should be. Spending quality time with family. It's a wonderful, heart warming read. Except the cliffhanger at the end.
This book was provided to me as part of a release day event in return for an honest review.
I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!
Christmas should be magical for everyone, and that is exactly Megan and Mark’s plan for their first Christmas together.
From the first chapter I could feel the improvements in the flow and detail of L. Chapman’s writing. I felt drawn and intrigued early on into the story. Megan again has developed as a character; she was more independent and her self esteem was stronger. Both Mark and Megan truly gave their family and friends a Christmas they deserved. They spread the love and joy that Christmas is all about. In this Christmas novella we also get to know other characters that have been briefly mentioned in the previous two books; characters I really loved and hope we get to see more of in the future. I have given a 4 star rating as I felt the story towards the end dragged a little.
If you have read book #1 and #2 in the Believe series you won’t want to miss out on this Christmas Novella.
What a perfect charming read for the holiday season… or anytime you’re looking for a heart-warming novel. This story will bring peace and happiness with a bit of spice.
Megan and Mark are back in the spotlight. I was glad to catch up with these two and know all is well. The inclusion of ALL the characters from this series was really great. Overall this gave the novel a loving family feel. I was pleased with the vibe of this story and was able to whip right through it. I enjoy experiencing blissful times with the characters and felt a smile on my face throughout.
I look forward to what happens next for these folks. There is always something interesting in the works with this author and I know it will be good!
This was a very cute Christmas novella that brought us back to the lives of all the players in the Believe Series.
I love Megan and Mark and it was such a blessing getting more into their lives. I also adore Jenny and Warren.
What made this book for me was most definitely Kate! I love her!
I usually don't rate novellas higher than a 3 but I had to go above and beyond for this one because it truly touched my heart. I gave it a definite 4 solid stars!
I cannot wait for more in this series. L Chapman has a way with bringing you characters that just melt your soul. Thank you so much for that!
I will definitely be recommending this book and the entire series for those who haven't read it yet!
I want to say thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I absolutely love this book. It was centered around spreading Christmas cheer for Megan and her friends. I absolutely love Christmas so anytime I read a book involving it, it helps me pass on the time till I can celebrate Christmas again. It gave me a little Christmas in May :)
This book had its fair share of twists involving some family drama and left off on a BIG cliffhanger. So far this series hasn't disappointed me and I have loved each minute of reading. I can't wait to read what's next for Megan, Mark, and Lucy. And also for Jenny and Warren and "bump"....Stormi
This was such a lovely story, with all our favorite characters from The Believe series
They all come together to celebrate Lucy's first Christmas. Megan & Mark are blissfully happy together, so are Jenny & Warren. Jenny is getting further along in her pregnancy & is blooming.
There are a lot of heartwarming moments & you can really feel the love that this group of friends, really have for each other.
There are also a few heart stopping moments, where I found myself getting very protective of "My" little group.
This was a beautiful story, full of love & hope for the future.....ending on a cliffhanger :-(
I cannot wait to read more about this amazing group of friends.
This is a delightful and sexy instalment in the Trust series by L Chapman.
What a magical book showing just how much Mark loves Megan and little Lucy, whose about to experience her first Christmas.
The story centres around Mark and Megan, but had other favourite characters in and showed how families carry on traditions with their children from when they were children. I loved this because it’s what we do and reminds us of being children.
There are some steamy scenes in the book, my favourite being the shower and what follows :-)
L Chapman has written a lovely book about family, christmas traditions and made it magical with a sleigh and santa not to mention snow.
4 HOT HOLIDAY STARS! So I should have read the first two books first so I could have already fallen in love with the characters and gotten to know them. I felt dropped in the middle of it and had I read the first I wouldn't have felt that way. I did really like the characters and their interaction with each other. The relationships were sweet and real. Mark and Megan are a great couple and little Lucy is adorable. Connor and Kate are sweet and Kate totally steals the show in this book. Jenny and Warren are cute although you don't get as much of them as the others. I would recommend this after you have read the other books (which is what I'm going to go do now!) ~ Leslie
Christmas time is upon us, in the believe world. Which was a bit cute. As I was once a first time mother, and understood the need for baby’s first Christmas to be perfect and special.
We learn more about Connor, and get to meet his wonderful Daughter.
Jenny & Warren are even here to spend the holidays with us.
Though what would the holidays be without a bit of drama for both Jenny and Megan.
There was a couple things that made me scratch my head in this one. There was a repeat of a scene from “Redeemed” which really wasn’t needed, but Megan is a complex lady.
With all that it was a good read, which almost made me wish it was Christmas in May.

“Do You Believe” is a short, sweet, Christmas story, focusing on Megan, Mark, and friends. Megan hosts Christmas at her house, for Mark, Jenny, Warren, and Connor – Mark’s employee. Connor’s daughter also joins them, which adds to the magic of Christmas in the story. However, all is not well, as Megan’s worries about Lucy’s biological father, and Connor’s worries about his daughter, and Jenny’s worries about her own parents, threaten to ruin the day. The book was interesting from the start, and captured the magical feeling of Christmas with family and friends very well.

Christmas time a joyful time for everyone, why Meghan is getting everything ready and hoping its the best Christmas ever for Kate. She encounters some heart ache of her own and discovers just how much of a mess things could become. Now as she finds herself wanting a life with mark will she follow her head or her heart. Will she finally find her happy ever after?
I loved this little Christmas novella. it was the perfect combination of friendship, love ans Christmas magic .. sprinkled with a dash of drama. and way to keep us on the edge with that ending L! Megan's and marks relationship is so.beautiful. and to have a holiday for Kate surrounded by all that love was beautiful. this is exactly how Christmas should be. so.many beautiful magical moments.
This has the same characters from the Believe Series. Everyone wanted to have a perfect Christmas and worked really hard for Kate to have the best Christmas with her father.
I love Megan in this book, she's a really fun person to be around. She wanted to make Christmas special for everyone.
This was a great Christmas read, but a cliffhanger....
This book takes place during the Christmas holiday. Megan has Lucy and Mark, Jenny has Warren, Conner, Mark's assistant and good friend, had his daughter Kate.
I loved how everyone was together and it was all about traditions and making new ones!!
I still need more!! The author did a great job on all of the books! If you haven't read them yet, I suggest you do!!
A sweet Christmas novella...it is a book true to what happens with most households on Christmas day. The fun and excitement, family and friends. This book shows all of that.
I was torn between 3 and 4 stars because I felt a few bits were rushed, but the Xmas feel to the story was fun and lighthearted.
I loved this book and now need the next one I want to know what happens with Jenny n Warren Mark and Megan and Kate just sounds cute and adorable and the spanner in the work with the note from John (who i hate)
OMG L. your killing me here this book was great. Another page turner and fast read. This is about Megan,Lucy,Mark,Warren,Jen,Connor and his daughter Kate. Christmastime for them and Megan has some traditions she does and is set to and is passing them along to everyone. Just a great read.
They romance and love that is shred by Megan and Mark will melt your heart and bring out the magic of the season. I specially love the way they try to make little Lucy and Kate feel like the center of attention. You want a tender yet steamy romantic read? L. Chapman nailed it!
Do you believe is a lovely little Christmas novella that continues the story of megan jenny and all the guys. Where we get to be apart if their special day made up of precious moments they will look back and smile at.
A. Light hearted quick read in the Believe series. We get a look at Connor who is such a sweet caring man. Who doesn't love Christmas and all the fun loving times with friends and family.
This novella see Megan, Mark and Lucy enjoy their first Christmas together. This quick yet fun read lets you get to know more about the characters you have come to love along the way.
