This story is a standalone follow-up to Taken By The Minotaur. Every seven years, the Minotaur slakes his monstrous lust on fourteen youths from Athens, brought to him as pleasure slaves. But this time, it’s just young, innocent prince Theseus who enters the Labyrinth. And now he has to somehow satisfy the Minotaur’s huge appetite for sex, all by himself.
Sometimes I'll read a book out of sheer morbid curiosity. Such is the case with Taken by the Minotaur. It--and the two other books that comprise the 'series'--is pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Someone took the story of Theseus and the Minotaur and rewrote it as PWP (porn without plot). It's very fanficcish and, since it's Greek mythology and thus public domain, the author wouldn't have even had to file the serial numbers off.
Each story in the series is extremely short, centered around sex, with just enough plot to hold it all together and not a whole lot of resolution. Really, it all should've been a single story.
Brutal rape turns into an inexplicable love and devotion, handwaved by a hint of D/s and made a little (a lot) creepier by the hint of bestiality. Despite the creepiness, I feel like there could've been some interesting ideas in there that just didn't get explored at all. It's just an excuse for smut and while I don't think there's anything wrong with that, the smut didn't do it for me, either.
If you've spent any time at all in fandom, it's exactly what you think it is, okay? I don't even feel like I can give it a rating, because I was pretty sure I knew what it would be when I started and, in that respect, it didn't disappoint.
I liked it as a quick read. It was enjoyable, and given the circumstances the characters were put in I liked it. I’ll take a smutty situation over killing characters any day.
I knew what I was getting myself into when I read and bought this series. Really, I did. So, it might be silly to point out that knowing someone for less than twenty-four hours is too soon to swear loyalty, but I've also never been as sexually satiated as Theseus, so...
Still, it's a decent read and a good continuation of the previous installment. If you bought the first one, you might as well just give in and continue the journey.

Hot and weird. M/m relationship between prince and Minotaur. I can't believe there is book like this. But I want to know enough to buy the second book after reading the first one for free.
