The Rogue Hunter series is one that I am always anticipating the release of the next book. Zyra is one of my favorite characters in science fiction. As the series is very character driven Zyra is the reason you will keep coming back for more.
In this edition Zyra really has an emotional break through. Pretty much hits the lowest she's been so far and has to break through a wall. Sometimes you really want to punch her but I guarantee you'll love her.

The writing style is mostly done in dialogue. The focus is very much on Zyra and her personal growth each obstacle she faces. For one, Zyra is a bad ass bitch and you do not want to cross her. Yet also does not believe in killing just to get them out of your way.

I highly recommend this series, I have enjoyed reading it immensely and find myself constantly thinking about what Zyra will go through next. I consider this author to be a must-by. These stories are very entertaining you'll fly right through them.

On a stand alone basis I would rate the book 4 stars. But as a portion of the full series, I believe this is the best book so far giving it 5 stars is well deserved in my opinion.

ROGUE HUNTER: LONGSHOT is the fourth book in the Rogue Hunter series featuring bounty hunter Zyra Zanr. Zyra’s tired of being the pawn in everyone else’s game, but she needs to make a living. So when her former partner Randall (Mac) McGovern comes calling, she initially turns his offer down flat. However, something about this job calls to her…

Zyra’s made a lot of mistakes in her life and bitterness has stolen into her heart. I felt very bad for Zyra, especially having previously read the adventures which have led her to this place. ROGUE HUNTER: LONGSHOT shows readers what I saw as a big turning point in Zyra’s life. Joining Mac’s team of elite bounty hunters, when she’s not wanted by anyone but Mac and Zoe, was a hard decision for Zyra. I would have definitely given the team back a lot of the crap they gave Zyra. When things go pear-shaped, it’s up to Zyra to make the hard calls. I loved seeing Zyra back in her element and thriving under pressure. I also really liked Mara and Kendra and I hope we’ll see them both again. There’s still something big waiting for Zyra and I can’t wait to find out what it is. ROGUE HUNTER: LONGSHOT is a welcome and wonderful addition to this series.

Zyra is back! In the last book, I was a little disappointed in Zyra's character in previous books and wanted her to be more of a badass and this new book delivers on that. She is still struggling with who she is as a person but it seems like she is finally turning into an awesome, ass-kicking bounty hunter. Zyra decides to team up with an elite group of bounty hunters to hunt down Hal Keller, a terrorist.
This story has more action than the previous books and Zyra is front and center in it. There are some secondary characters involved in the story but no one that I was very attached to. Kendra, the teenager that Zyra helps rescue is mostly annoying but later on turns out to be alright. The rest of the bounty hunters that Zyra teams up with in the beginning were very annoying. For being an elite squad of bounty hunters, they didn't get along, they didn't have very good teamwork and they were not very nice towards Zyra. Zyra is much more patient than me, since I would have shot some of them.
We find out more about Zyra's past and a teammate of hers named Ace and their connection with the man who runs the elite bounty hunter squad. This is interesting since we don't really know that much about Zyra and her past.
Zyra was really the only character that stood out for me. The other characters were either stereotypical or flat. The other bounty hunters that Zyra works with are mostly flat and not well liked. The main bad guy, Keller, is your stereotypical terrorist bad guy. The teenager that Zyra rescues is equally stereotypical for a teenager. Most of the characters have no depth, which is fine since the main focus of the story is Zyra and how she overcomes her emotion. Zyra learns to become a hero in this book and I hope that in the next book, she discovers that she really is a hero and that helps her increase her confidence and become a true badass.
Overall, 3.5 out of 5 stars. Zyra is an awesome character and it has been interesting to see her grow. I hope that she continues to grow as a character and get into many more adventures. Thanks to Kevis Hendrickson, the author, for this ARC.

I was provided an ARC copy of this book.

Rouge Hunter: Longshot by Kevis Hendrickson – The fourth installment in the Rouge Hunter series is a rollercoaster of action and adventure. Zyra is pushed into helping a team extract highly sought after scientists from the moon Bris all why dodging the terrorist group known as the MLO, or Mutant Liberation Order, that are taking over the base. After her friend Zoe gets separated from the group, Zyra risks her life to go back in and save her. This science fiction thriller will keep you guessing at what will happen next.

I have to say I’m a little biased about this book, I loved the ones before and just knew this one would shine too. Zyra shows a new layer to herself in Longshot. She’s been shot, stabbed, thrown around, her hearts been twisted and battered and yet she still gets out of bed every morning to do a job. Her job is a bounty hunter and she’s a damn good one too. In Longshot you see this cynical and bitter woman who only thinks about herself come to terms with her more unpleasant aspects, but will her actions at the moon base Bris and with the others there change her?

Kevis Hendrickson was kind enough to give me an ebook of Longshot, the latest in the Rogue Hunter series.

Classic space opera at its best. An over the top hero, a evil madman and the fate of civilized space in the balance. Action packed, with well defined characters. You can't have the opera without wisecracking to make you smile.

The series is fun to read, and I'm waiting on the next one.

This is the fourth book in the series. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Zyra is almost back to herself in this book, granted a little more mean and distant. She befriends a girl that is kidnapped by the person she is trying to capture for a bounty. I really liked this book, because it showed just how much Zyra cares about other people besides herself.

Moira, the mystery person, who is apparently Zyra's stalker shows up in this book and it leaves this reader with alot of sparked interest and questions about Zyra. I also would love to read about Zyra as a teen in the academy. I would also like to know more about Zyra and Mack and without giving away spoiler about her brother that died.

Book Blurb:
On the back of recent hardships and failures, Zyra has become withdrawn and bitter. Meanwhile, terrorists have captured a doomsday weapon with plans to use it unless their enemies meet their demands. Desperate to settle the debt with the crime lords who want her dead, Zyra joins an elite team of bounty hunters to rescue the scientist who holds the key to the weapon, not knowing she is walking into a trap.

Can Zyra put aside her grief to stop the terrorists' evil plot? Or will a new wave of terror and destruction be unleashed upon the entire galaxy? Join Zyra as she faces her greatest challenge ever in this exciting action-packed science fiction thriller.
