Bad feels, obvious storyline eked out. Too much drama for me.

Others will enjoy it, though.

Hannah Richards is a successful British film director. She is madly in love with her partner, script writer, Naomi Roberts and her life couldn’t be better. Then without warning, tragedy struck when Naomi suddenly died, leaving a gaping hole in Hannah’s life. Devastated, Hannah departs for Cumbria, anything to get away from their house and it’s memories. Hannah stays away for a year before she can even contemplate returning. Even when her decision to return to London is made, she still can’t really face it.

Famous actress, Alisa Forbes, Hannah and Naomi’s one time best friend is the one to help Hannah get her life back on track.

Leah, Hannah’s personal assistant has an agenda of her own, and having Hannah and Alisa take up as best friends again isn’t on it.

The more of Jade Winters books I read, the more I want to read. They are simply addictive. This book is a well written, page turner. I was totally hooked from the very first page, right through to the last page. There are so many twists and turns and ups and downs, it was like being on a rollercoaster.

The two main characters, Hannah and Alisa used to be best friends along with Hannah’s deceased partner, Naomi. Something happened to change all that before Naomi died. So, how did Alisa end up being the person to help Hannah get her life back again?

There is a wonderful cast of secondary characters. The most interesting one being Leah. She is the one I wanted to slap and yell at the most. But, what part did she play in the unfolding saga of Hannah, Naomi and Alisa?

Hannah’s mother Maggie, plays a good part in her support of Hannah. But again, I felt like she needed a bit of a slap. As did Hannah on a few occasions.

This is not to say these characters are anything less than great. It shows that Jade’s writing is top notch. These characters are all well developed and interact so well together. They are a delight to get to know.

This story is definitely one of Jade’s best. Somehow though, I get the feeling I’m going to be saying that about each new book of Jade’s I read. I will definitely read this book again. It’s nice to know the ending sometimes without any pressure.

What and Who Are Real?

Not everything is as it seems in Hannah's life, but she's unaware.

While trying to move forward a year after the loss of her partner, Naomi's secrets begin to unravel, leaving everything and everyone she thought she knew in tatters. Even an unexpected new love interest seems untrustworthy.

Yet, her relationship with her mom is healing, and she finds unexpected strength and hope there.

Coming to terms with the truth, facing the shame and heartbreak, and learning to forgive are the only ways to be able to live and love again, but does Hannah have the strength and courage to do so?

There are some typos and grammar issues, but they don't take away from the well-developed characters and engaging storyline.

This is a story of Hannah and Alisa and how Alisa's loyalty and friendship to Hannah was almost the undoing of their future relationship.

Hannah, a British film director, loses her partner Naomi when she dies suddenly. However, unbeknown to Hannah, Naomi had been having an affair behind her back, with Hanna's PA Leah, and had written a film script about it. A year after the death of her partner, Hannah comes out of mourning and is given the script by Alisa and decides to direct it with Alisa as the leading lady, not realising what the script is actually about.

The story goes on to tell us of the different obstacles that Leah throws into the path of Hannah and Alisa to keep them apart.

The novel is well written, but in my opinion it did get a little sluggish at one point in the middle and there were several times I wanted to throttle Leah, Alisa and Hannah, also Hannah's Mum Maggie gets involved! Once you get past the halfway point of the book the story moves at a fast pace and you begin to really like the two main characters. Let's put it this way it kept me up to the early hours finishing it!

The book is well worth reading and the concept of the story was an interesting one. Another good novel by Jade Winters.

I didn't really like the book, it was so predictable at a certain time and I always asked myself why Hannah didn't see the obvious. The story had potential, but it was stuck in the griefing process and didn't really move on.

Betrayal At Its Finest!

Hannah, Naomi, Leah and Alisa. Four women who are part of each others lives for different reasons. But when Naomi dies suddenly, her wife Hannah stays away after the funeral for a year. But now she is home for the first time since her wife died. She told Leah, her assistant to clean up the rest of the house but leave the bedroom the way it was. Exactly how she left after the ambulance came and took Naomi away. Now that she was home, she was going to try and heal, see a therapist and find a way to exist without her wife by her side. But the nightmare that Hannah had lived through is about to take another turn and all four women are going to be hurt. Jade winters has really touched on a very intriguing story with drama and hate and enough betrayal to bury them all alive.

Loving someone .

This Love story is so well written that the reader might think it was taken from a real life experience. And with that said, the writer did a wonderful job on the characters, and the way she brought them to life with each personality. The detail of emotions so angrier one moment and mounting sexual needs the next moment.
I liked the location and how different places were described in such detailed. I would recommend this book to everyone who like lesbian romance books. So very good job to the author.

Caught by Betrayal!

Amidst all the friendship, love and ultimate betrayals is a wonderful story of loyalty and forgiveness. Jade Winters is a wonderful storyteller and her character development is so rich and intense. I felt like I was on a roller coaster while reading this book. My emotions were all over the place just as the character's were as well. Although the pace of the story kept picking up speed, the ending felt a bit rushed to me. However, it's a very good storyline that I hadn't read before and would definitely recommend!

first half was soooooo slow then second half went pass like a jet. I would've wanted for the second half to have the same phase as the first but it would make the novel twice longer. I also understand why the build up was longer, it always is... but the conclusion was just to simple. like a firework that was shot but didn't go bang... it just fizzled.

The dead can leave confession laying around

Naomi left her latest story for Hannah to direct along with Alis. Leah was alone in her grief because no one really knew Naomi.

Oh, Jade Winters....be still my heart. Her books are awesome, to the Nth degree. She's not a perfect writer, but she has some that keep drawing me back in for a re-read...and that's highly unusual for me since I'm a voracious reader and always have too many "to-reads" in my pile.

This story is one. Reading this is like pulling on a comfy pair of jeans and a tee, kicking back on a rocker on your porch on a hot summer day, with a lemonade for company. When you start reading this book, you have a hint of things to come, but then the truth is finally revealed and the aftermath of it is quite extraordinary.

Ms. Winters has done this a couple of times, and the effect never grows old. It's like unwrapping a birthday present. Or peeling an onion. (I know that latter is weird, but bear with me.) There are so many layers that the author has laced into this story that I keep re-reading to discover them all. Not even sure if that was the intention, but it's enjoyable for me. The plus: it's a quick read; but I never knew it. Just a delightful read as a lesbian romances go.

All I can say is: Do not stop and wonder...download this book now. You will not regret it!

Four stars.

And once again a story from Ms. Winters that is written with so much love for characters, for their struggles, their conflicts and the character's attempts to find happiness. And once again it is so easy to fall for these characters, they feel so very real, it is indeed painful to watch them get hurt and hurt one another. And it's also very rewarding to watch them find their ways to each other. Very sweet, very sexy.

Once again a story, that I quickly fell in love with, ended way too quickly for me. The storyline was perfectly timed, as usual, but I could have stayed so much longer in the world of Hannah and Alisa, and I feel a bit sad that I have to leave it again. But, once more, the author left me completely satisfied. And the good thing is, I already know that the next book by Ms. Winters will be just as entertaining and pleasurable to read as this one was.

"Caught by Love" is worth your time.
Just read it, you'll see!
