Wow great book. Lots of twists and turns. Doug in the middle of an op finds his mates sister Sabrina walks into the middle of an op. Finding out she is CIA and investigating her brothers murder, he is not too happy as he is suppose to be looking after her.
This is a fantastic book. Doug didn’t know what to think when Sabrina walked right in the middle of his operation. He knew Sabrina because she was the sister to one of his team mates that had passed away. He thought she was a banker. He had no idea she was CIA. They are both looking for who killed her little brother. This had tons of twist and turns. The person behind the murders came as a shock. Yes, murders, because the person killed several people throughout the book. Doug fell hard for Sabrina. He had to fight for her, but in the end they finally got the HEA. Loved this book!
Heartbreak, childhood nightmares, safety or flight? Joining Sabine on her adventure and her quest for answers was fun and eye opening. What have I to turn over from my past? God’s got this!!! Whatever it is or was!
I really enjoyed this book so much! I'm going through some minor health issues and this book allowed me to escape. It was beautifully written and the storyline so exciting. I know that many will enjoy it as I have.
I truly enjoyed this book! It was more than the standard romantic suspense, there was more that showed growth in the characters and provided closure to the story.
June 18, 2014 First read Doug and Sabine have known each other for a while since Sabine's brother was on the same Special Ops team as Doug. They saw each other at barbecues and parties. They were acquaintances but tried to stay away from becoming more.
Then they find themselves in a foreign country both after the same guy. Things lead to them spending time together trying to solve the question of who paid for her brothers assassination.
The things they learn keep them running and time and time again they fear for each other's lives. When Sabine learns that the last six years of her life have been a lie, she loses hope of things working out between the two of them. Even after they work together to rid the world of their worst nightmare, they still have a lot to go through.
I finished this book several months ago but hesitated to write a review on it. Why did I hesitate you ask? Because Lisa is a good friend of mine and this was her first book released and I was very excited to read it! I wanted to be impartial. So I sat on and waited. Now I am here to say, it is a great story line. Months later, I'm still remembering the characters and details of the story. Excited to read many more books from her!
