I often have people ask me, “Should I quit my job to chase my dreams?” And while I love to encourage people to go after what they really want out of life, I also recognize that quitting isn’t right for every person, in every season.
It certainly isn’t for the faint of heart.
In this book I share my response to that question. I share from my personal experience what it’s really like to quit your job, give up everything, and chase after what you really want. I argue not everyone will need to quit their job to chase their dreams, but everyone will need to quit something. What do you need to quit?
Everyone is chasing something. What are you chasing?

This was a Godsend! I've been in the midst of the "what the heck am I doing with me life?!" crisis for longer than I'd like to admit and the last two weeks have been a bitter and difficult time.
This book was like a breath of fresh air because it was honest. It acknowledged all the fear and insecurities that comes with this process, but still reminded me, in practical terms, that doing what you want to do can happen and is worth it. It won't always be pretty and happy, but it will be real and it will be you and that's what most important.
I enjoy Allison's blog so thought her book would be worth a read. Rated it two stars because it comes from a younger perspective than myself (I'm 32). It was written more for the young college graduate looking to find themselves when the mainstream just isn't working. She has a good message though and I still plan on reading her book Packing Light.
